For example if you start a background check you'll be asked if you want to use your standard template, but this template has an 'edit' choice, but if you click edit you can't actually edit your standard template and I can't find a way to edit it. It only edits the current background check, but the options already on the screen prior to clicking edit accomplish that same thing. Similarly if you click 'contact support' when logged in, it goes to a generic screen where you are contacting support as if you were not logged into the product. The deal breaker for me is it will not notify you via email if there is a background check that has not cleared. This is a significant issue if there is a background check that has not cleared, it's important a notification is fired so that HR staff go look at it. In terms of County searches you can select three counties but you have to manually choose them, I with the product could figure out what counties someone lived in and feed that into the county lookup automatically. Like so many products it needs that last 10%. All this being said, most software is terrible, and this product may very well be better than most of its competitors, that would not surprise me. It needs some major improvements to have non-technical folk use it, but it still may be one of the best given the low bar of business / enterprise software usability. **What problems is GoodHire (a Checkr company) solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's background checking new hires as it promises. Like Feb 23, 2016 would be flagged if they verify the date as February 23, 2016. We've used it in the past to do annual MVRs, but there is no option to have them run automatically or have actual monitoring. Can add services pretty quickly. **What do you dislike about GoodHire (a Checkr company)?** Poor service, rudimentary system. Have to go through a help desk, never get exactly what you ask for. It locks out anyone you've run a check on, so running repeated tests is impossible without calling (think random drug tests). Slow reposne, no way to customize email templates for various secondary tests (again, think random vs new hire). I am paying $14.95 to initiate the process. Then I have to pay additionally for the report to be pulled from the state database. This on top of paying for the basic background search gets expensive for a company the size of mine. In order to maximize our dollar, I have recently started pulling the MVR directly from the State of Michigan for $11.00. It's also well-known and integrates with most of the payroll providers I've used to save time. I had two flags that I received for folks and they were easy to navigate and figure out what was going on, resolve, and then hire the individuals. And for one gal in particular, GoodHire helped uncover that her social was being used without her knowledge and that was incredibly helpful information to our new hire to alert the credit companies and start to get that resolved. I've been using it for 9 months so far and haven't had any issues at all. And I onboard a lot of people at a growing marketing agency.
