What I don’t like about SONAR is that you can’t upload the original RFP—you have to manually input everything into their spreadsheet, which adds extra work. The bulk upload tool for RFPs requires me to export data into Excel for a lot of manual calculation. I have to pull it out and manipulate quite a bit to factor in profits and billing, especially with complexities like fuel surcharges. It would be more efficient if these calculations were more integrated into SONAR. Additionally, finding data points using airport abbreviations can be tricky for new employees who aren't familiar with them, so making this more user-friendly would help. I appreciate the industry insights SONAR provides, which are better than most other services. There's lots of customization, allowing me to drill into specific lanes and topics that are most relevant to my business. The amount and richness of data is fantastic. There's really nothing to compare to how rich the data is. This is the gold standard for analyzing data and tracking the freight market. My team and I use it daily to track the market. We also use the API to help predict prices and feed our pricing models. The support team is great - whenever we encounter an issue or a question, they respond right away. There's been a couple rate cases where there was an issue, and those were resolved almost immediately. It also has a very easy learning curve - you can be up and running in just a minute. The main downside is sifting through the wide range of data to find exactly what you need. There's so many potential options, that sometimes it's a little bit of work to find exactly what I need.
