## Flexential Cloud Reviews
  ### 1. Technology OK, but Management is Terrible

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Flexential Cloud?**

Cloud system (technology and infrastructure) has been mostly stable and reliable for many years over several company iterations. There are quite a few technical staff members that are competent and easy to work with. I'd actual be happy to recommend some individuals from the technical team. I cannot say the same about Flexential's management.

**What do you dislike about Flexential Cloud?**

This is an account and opinion of an overarching (and somewhat reoccurring) experience I've had with Flexential over the years.

I've personally witnessed Flexential management make decisions that are contrary to our expectations and contractual terms. We used services from INetU, which was purchased by ViaWest, which was subsequently purchased by Flexential. Flexential bought these companies and contrary to existing contracts, and in other instances contrary to new contracts directly with Flexential, they foisted responsibility and policy changes onto us that negatively impacted our company. In many such instances, Flexential sought to increase fees while also avoiding service levels that were contracted for. In one instance, notice was provided with substantial time to respond; in other instances, the changes were made without notice. Attempts to work with Flexential's 'customer success' team or management at various levels are met with layers of bureaucracy that seem to be intentionally obtuse for the purpose of enforcing the newly formed corporate agenda at the customer's expense.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this company to anyone seeking cloud services. In my experience, Flexential has repeatedly failed to make what I would consider to be appropriate decisions in light of their responsibilities under the operating contract. I feel that they are exclusively interested in increasing the amount of money they receive from us upon every interaction, while consistently working to avoid responsibilities defined in their contracted Responsibility Matrix. This is particularly aggravating because we feel like we are a 'low maintenance client' - i.e., we do not call upon Flexential's resources for issue resolution to any significant degree (I think we make an average of 1-2 service tickets per month, and there are many months where we require nothing). So, when we do need something, and it's been available for years and is available per our contract, it is exceptionally frustrating when Flexential makes up a policy, without notice, that avoids providing managed services.

We used to have a good experience with these people - especially when the corporate entity was INetU/ViaWest. Ever since Flexential bought these companies, our experience has degraded year over year. Such a trajectory suggests to me that they aren't going to get better, so I simply cannot recommend them.

**What problems is Flexential Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have Cloud Hosted servers with managed Operating Systems and SQL Database. This is supposed to reduce the need for on staff System and SQL Administrators, specifically to avoid the need for such employees outside of our standard hours of operations.

  ### 2. Chronic Service Issues and Unreliable Management Response

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Flexential Cloud?**

Flexential does have several capable engineers on the front-line support team

**What do you dislike about Flexential Cloud?**

Our overall experience has been overshadowed by unprofessional and difficult interactions with mid- to upper-level management. Their handling of key issues has consistently fallen short of what we expect from a reliable service provider.
At one point, we were informed that our server needed to be moved to a different facility and were presented with a choice of either covering the relocation costs ourselves or facing the loss of the server. Regardless of the reasons behind the change, placing the full burden on the customer was unacceptable and showed a lack of consideration for the impact on our operations. Had there been a viable alternative at the time, we would have seriously considered leaving.
Also, for an extended period, we experienced recurring performance problems with one of our servers. Despite multiple support requests, the underlying issue was never properly addressed. Instead, we repeatedly received short-term fixes that failed to resolve the root cause.
At one point, we were even advised to take drastic action based on conditions that stemmed from their own prior work, rather than any genuine diagnosis of the actual problem.
Although individual support engineers made efforts to assist, the broader management approach at Flexential has been inconsistent, unhelpful, and at times dismissive.

**What problems is Flexential Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are hosting few servers on their cloud.

  ### 3. Disappointing Support and Questionable Practices from Flexential

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Flexential Cloud?**

Their technology is good, and some of the people are capable of doing their job.

**What do you dislike about Flexential Cloud?**

Their unwillingness to not offer different solutions.

**What problems is Flexential Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They house servers for us.

  ### 4. Flexential Cloud is a useful tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff G. | Systems and Database Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Flexential Cloud?**

Flexential Cloud is a cost-effective solution with truly amazing capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Flexential Cloud?**

The true reason why we didn't move forward with Flexential Cloud was our previous datacenter experience with them. In regards to their Cloud-hosting, the first time I started to experience the same, I backed away. We shutdown the Proof-of-Concept we had started.

**What problems is Flexential Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking to host our on-prem VM's in a cloud environment.

  ### 5. Not the comapny they use to be...

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Flexential Cloud?**

Stable for the most part, fits our needs, but....

**What do you dislike about Flexential Cloud?**

Flexential is more focused on their bottom line than looking out for their clients. They claim to have been inside their SLA despite two unsuccessful migrations and hours of downtime. Despite the fact that we are a managed hosting customer, they falsely claim that the problems we ran into weren't under their control. They dropped off of our new contract a managed firewall, with no explanation, they made multiple changes without our consent and took way too much time to migrate us to their new platform. Additionally, they far exceeded the required maintenance for a failed migration. Two more maintenance windows were required. Third was successful, but only after we set up a test environment for them, granted them access to our Cloudflare account, and lost money due to extremely poorly planned migrations. I couldn't recommend Flexential in good conscience unless something changes because they aren't willing to make things right. How are setup fees justified for two failed migrations that cost their client (us) time, money, and a bad reputation for failed migrations.

**What problems is Flexential Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flexential is our current hosting provider, at least for the time being.

  ### 6. THE WORD FLEX EXPLAINS THE PLATFORM

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon K. | Information Technology manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Flexential Cloud?**

FLEXENTIAL HAS PLENTY OF CHOICES WITHIN ITS PLATFORM. FLEXENTIAL HAS MANY OPTIONS FOR IT TO DECIDE WHATS REQUIRED.

**What do you dislike about Flexential Cloud?**

JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE THAT COST MONEY. ANY KIND OF PLATFORM CAN BE COSTLY.

**What problems is Flexential Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FLEXABILITY OF NOT HAVING ON-PREMISE SERVER TO KEEP WORKSTATIONS TIED TO AND THE MANY OPTIONS IN THE PLATFORM.

  ### 7. Good solid data center - no issues for what we use it for

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Flexential Cloud?**

Customer support - easy to get things done

**What do you dislike about Flexential Cloud?**

There was one significant service impacting event, but other than that no issues.

**What problems is Flexential Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

needed to move from internal dc to managed colo

  ### 8. INetU - Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julius L. | Patriarch, Mental Health Care, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2015

**What do you like best about Flexential Cloud?**

We have used INetU for over 15 years. Prior to that time we experienced a lot of down time and it was very difficult to understand what was going on with our account. Switching to INetU was seamless and they have always been on top of relaying information to us in a way that is thoughtful and easy to understand. We have also literally had no downtime at all - a must for our website. The account representatives are eager to please, very responsive and their tech team is absolutely terrific. Together they provide a very well functioning company that meets our every need a very competitive pricing.

**What do you dislike about Flexential Cloud?**

For me, I find the company has grown and very little in the way of satisfaction has changed. I am still very pleased with the company and have no real dislikes.

**Recommendations to others considering Flexential Cloud:**

I think you will find INetU to meet the needs of your company at the level you require. The staff, especially your account representative will always be available and will work to bring you up-to-date on all that is going on with your account. In my experience we have had literally no downtime and continue to receive the best service and protection we could hope for.

  ### 9. Reliable, Good Teamwork, lets you focus on your business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth M. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2015

**What do you like best about Flexential Cloud?**

24 hour support. InetU members work as an extended team of our business, we rely on them so we can focus on growing our business.

**What do you dislike about Flexential Cloud?**

The cost is higher. I see it as an investment for peace of mind and more cost-efficient than having an in-house team.

**Recommendations to others considering Flexential Cloud:**

Our business is not hosting. Hosting and technical capabilities are key to our business. We could have chosen to learn and do the hosting in-house but it would have taken away from growing our business. The hackers and internet threats are growing and every day more intense and complicated. I think is better to hire a team of people who will take care of the technical issues, hardware, software updates, and technology threats and focus on growing your business.

  ### 10. Great Hosting!!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2015

**What do you like best about Flexential Cloud?**

I think the hosting service is very good.

**What do you dislike about Flexential Cloud?**

There is nothing much to dislike. They have good uptime.

**Recommendations to others considering Flexential Cloud:**

Definitely go for it. The downtime is less and the service is good.

It is critical that your site or application is secure, always available and they make sure it works!

Some of their services:
- 4, 6, or 8-core Intel Xeon Processors
- RAID controllers with up to 1GB NVRAM, supporting RAID0/1/5/6/10/50/60
- RedHat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server, or load your own OS with Managed Colocation
- Flexible server configurations with the ability to add more disks, memory, and CPU power as you grow
- NLSAS, SAS, or SSD disks
- Up to a full terabyte of memory

  ### 11. A partner you can depend on,

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian F. | Vice President of Information Technology, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2015

**What do you like best about Flexential Cloud?**

The knowledge and helpfulness of the staff allows us to worry about specific processes regarding our core business and not so much about infrastructure. The reliability of their infrastructure has never left our business in any sort of need and any problems have been mitigated in a very short period of time.

**What do you dislike about Flexential Cloud?**

That everything has a cost, but in peer comparions, iNetU delivers great value for your dollar especially if your are located in a high cost of living area or where IT talent may be difficult to acquire.

**Recommendations to others considering Flexential Cloud:**

Evaluate the use of leased servers versus vmware managed servers. The throughput on SAN hosted VMs is not great on high IOP requirement scenarios.

  ### 12. Very Dependable and proactive!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2015

**What do you like best about Flexential Cloud?**

Whenever there is an issue with our site or hosting, iNetU is usually the first to contact us before we even notice.
They're always on top of problems and always are looking to keep us from having down-time.
They also offer optimization services to keep our site moving quickly.

On top of all that, they've always treated us as if they value our business and want to keep us happy. I cannot put a value on that type of treatment.

**What do you dislike about Flexential Cloud?**

The only thing I can say is that we've had 3 different account reps since we started there but we've been long time customers, it's not unreasonable for reps to get promoted or move on.
Every rep we've had has been awesome however!!

  ### 13. Excellent customer support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven R. | President and Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2015

**What do you like best about Flexential Cloud?**

Customer support was tremendous. We moved to a different hosting company several years ago as iNetU's platform was not what our tech team wanted for our new site but I wouldn't hesitate to go back should our needs change or should iNetU's capabilities change.

**What do you dislike about Flexential Cloud?**

Very little. We were very happy there. Fair price and excellent service. They didn't have cloud-based serving plans but may now.
