## Fivetran Reviews
  ### 1. No-Code, Self-Monitoring Pipelines with Connectors That Just Work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Umesh . | Data Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

What I appreciate most about Fivetran is that it's a no-code platform. During setup, there's no need to write custom logic for incremental loads, schema drift handling, or ingestion tuning — these are all pre-built and handled out of the box. Post-configuration, the platform is largely self-monitoring: silent failures are eliminated since you're automatically alerted when a source system goes down, and most of the pipeline runs without manual intervention. It also offers ready-made connectors for the majority of widely-used software tools, which significantly reduces integration overhead.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

Pricing can become a significant concern, especially for high-volume source systems like Oracle, since Fivetran's consumption-based model (tied to monthly active rows) scales quickly as record counts grow — costs can feel disproportionate for large, transaction-heavy databases.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled with the engineering overhead of maintaining custom connectors — schema changes and API updates meant constant rework, with little visibility into sync health. Now, pre-built integrations bring new sources online in a fraction of the time, syncs run reliably, and the dashboard gives clear status visibility. Pricing needs monitoring for high-volume tables, but the time saved on maintenance offsets it. Onboarding was smooth with responsive support. Result: less time on data plumbing, more time on dbt modeling and analytics — a real improvement in time-to-insight.

  ### 2. Fast, Reliable No-Code Data Integrations with Huge ROI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose Maria P. | Business Operations Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I use Fivetran regularly to manage our data integrations, especially connecting Google Sheets with our warehouse. One major issue we had was operations staff deleting sheet rows; Fivetran solved this instantly by automatically providing the _fivetran_deleted boolean column, giving us full historical visibility.

The UI/UX is intuitive and clean, making setup completely no-code. In terms of performance, syncs are fast, reliable, and handle automatic schema changes effortlessly. The support and onboarding experience was smooth with clear documentation. Overall, the ROI is massive because it saves our engineering team hours of manual pipeline work each week, and the automated metadata scheduling almost feels like having built-in intelligence monitoring our data integrity!

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

One thing I dislike is how Fivetran handles column ordering during syncs, particularly with Google Sheets connectors. It doesn't preserve the original column order from the source sheet, often reorganizing them alphabetically or dynamically in the destination table. While it doesn't break the data itself, it makes quick manual checks and SQL queries slightly annoying when you expect columns in the same layout as the source. Additionally, the pricing can scale up quickly if you have high-volume tables with frequent updates.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fivetran solves the major problem of data silos and manual ETL pipeline maintenance. By seamlessly connecting sources like Google Sheets, Zoho CRM, and Google Drive directly into our data warehouse, it centralizes our data automatically while keeping sync speeds fast and reliable.

One feature I absolutely love is its ability to merge and unify multiple CSV files uploaded to Google Drive into a single target table automatically. This eliminates manual file stitching and saves tons of time. Furthermore, system columns like _fivetran_synced and _fivetran_deleted give us full visibility, allowing us to track exactly when data was updated and know if any rows were deleted in source systems. Ultimately, it radically simplifies our data operations, saving engineering hours and letting us focus directly on running analytics and generating business insights.

  ### 3. Easy, Low-Maintenance Integrations with Reliable Syncs and Clear ROI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Humphrey Z. | Staff Analytics Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

What I like most about Fivetran is how easy it is to use and how little maintenance it needs. The UI is straightforward, and setting up integrations with tools like Salesforce and Marketo is pretty simple. The syncs are generally reliable and perform well, even with large amounts of data. It saves our team a lot of time compared with building and maintaining pipelines ourselves, so the ROI is clear. The documentation and support have also been helpful whenever we run into an issue. I haven’t used many of the AI features yet, but the automated schema handling and monitoring already reduce a lot of manual work.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

The biggest downside is the pricing, which can be hard to predict when data volume grows. Most connectors work well, but when a sync fails, the error message is sometimes too technical or not specific enough, so troubleshooting can take longer than expected. Support is helpful, although response times can vary. I’d also like to see smarter monitoring that flags unusual sync behavior and explains the likely cause before it becomes a bigger issue.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Fivetran, getting data from different platforms into our warehouse required custom pipelines and a lot of ongoing maintenance. Fivetran handles most of that work for us now. Our data is updated reliably and available much faster, and schema changes require less manual effort. This saves our data team several hours each week and lets us spend more time on reporting and analysis instead of fixing pipelines.

  ### 4. Easy Setup and Robust Data Extraction at Scale

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John D. | Business Intelligence Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

The 2 best things that I appreciate with Fivetran - Ease of set up through an easy to use UI and robust extraction. We have some data sources that are incredibly large and fivetran was able to replicate the data in our warehouse. No other integrations have been able to handle the work loads

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

the only downside has been price. The tool is significantly more expensive than any other competitor.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The initial set up of our ERP's replication has been helpful. Other products work may fine as an ongoing method however no tool has quite been able to handle the historical data loads being uploaded nor can they handle the actual daily volume of some of these tables.

  ### 5. Effortless Data Migration with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prayag J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I like the overall dashboard with its capabilities that let me explore different connectors and the extensive area of native connectors, which means I don't have to write my own custom logic all the time. It’s great that, while I don't always have to worry about custom logic, Fivetran still provides the flexibility I need to write custom logic and fetch data from various sources. The ease with which I can set up connectors using just credentials, and the fact that the data flows into my destination, is great. The setup process for multiple connectors, whether native or custom, has mostly been flawless with the existing documentation and CLI tooling.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

So some of the things that I feel, Fivetran needs improvement on are like the odd start time or the cold start time that it generally takes, where if things had been on a much more active system, they would have been much faster than how it takes right now. I also feel that some requirements like the ability to publish custom connectors, even though it's something that has been actively worked on by the product management team, could be improved. Additionally, there are issues with the absurd and some RDS destinations that could be resolved to make things better.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fivetran helps manage the life cycle of data setup, maintains cursors, handles incremental syncing, configures destinations with schemas, and aggregates details. It simplifies data movement and eliminates the need to manually manage updates or custom configurations.

  ### 6. Easy Setup, But Costly with Unwanted Changes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gayathri R. | Senior Business Intelligence Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I think Fivetran is very easy to set up. You just need to share your API key and the connections, and then choose the data tables that you want. What I really like is that the data gets ingested into Snowflake without any code. It's quite straightforward, and I don't see any problems with the process.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

The only problem I have is with the cost. Also, recently I observed that Fivetran introduced some options where it adds transformed tables by itself without us asking for them, which initially caused us a bit of struggle in figuring out how to stop it. My recommendation would be to give notice of any changes and not to add those tables by default. Instead, provide an option for us to choose them.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Fivetran very easy to set up, with data ingestion requiring no code. It simplifies connecting to Snowflake. However, the cost is a bit high, and sometimes it adds transformed tables without notice, which initially caused some confusion.

  ### 7. Seamless Data Integration with User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Executive Office | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I really appreciate Fivetran for its excellent UI. It's user-friendly and doesn't require me to be a data scientist to navigate. I can easily select the tables I need to add from Salesforce objects and filter fields as needed. It's straightforward to see which fields can't be added due to formula or other limitations. Additionally, the UI is intuitive, and I get alerted if something goes wrong. The Salesforce setup with Fivetran was incredibly easy, making the process seamless for me.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

We occasionally see emails about outages, but they seem to be resolved quickly.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Fivetran solves the issue of pushing data to other data warehouse sources, and Activations allows us to push transformed data back into Salesforce on a schedule and manually. This ability to move data both in and out of Salesforce is a gamechanger for our team and it's changing data landscape. The UI is excellent for selecting and filtering Salesforce tables. It's user-friendly, makes it easy for me to add tables, and alerts me when issues arise.

  ### 9. Wide Connector Coverage, Easy Navigation, and Responsive Fivetran Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

Three things -

#1 is the wide availability of connectors across very different platforms. It just so easier to link everything via fivetran and setup ingestion process
#2 - Very easy to navigate across different features for business users
#3 - Fivetran support is very responsisve and always available to help

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

Performance can be better - especially on ingesting very large tables in incremental mode.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Collecting files/data from clients in standard formats automatically been a pain for us for long term - especially for smaller clients who may not have data layers beyond their data warehouse. Fivetran integrations helped us to setup efficient pipelines rather than dumping everything to us and build ETL to clearn up

  ### 10. Trouble-Free Data Pipelines with Effortless Connections to Nearly Every Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

Ease of use. It's a very trouble-free way to move data in a way that minimizes both setup and pipeline maintenance. It also connects very easily to just about every service we have available to us. I have never run into an issue connecting to external services so long as they're fairly ubiquitous in the space.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

I think some of the setup options could be more robust or offer some way to use one pipeline to push to multiple sources, such as a prod, dev, and test environment.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't have a ton of manpower to throw at pipeline maintenance and building, and Fivetran helps to minimize both setup and maintenance. It is also very consistent and reliable for the price. It is an excellent solution for small teams.

  ### 11. Seamless Configuration, Solid Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I like that Fivetran's configuration is seamless and it handles certain modeling on ambiguous partner data tables. It also has much better coverage than native Snowflake connectors. The interface is easy to use, which means I don't need to spend a lot of time setting things up. New connections often have linked guides and help docs that walk you through the process. Support tickets are addressed promptly and communicated well.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

It's not always super easy to run diagnostics when sync issues occur, and navigating the Fivetran metadata tables often requires some funky joins on disparate concepts. Maybe there could be some additional modeling tables provided here. I'm often trying to check how many rows and how long ago particular tables within a connector have been updated. Some additional modeling that would provide more report tables of different grains like this would be very useful.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find the configuration seamless, it handles ambiguous data tables and offers better coverage than native Snowflake connectors. The interface is easy to use with guides and help docs, which saves me time. Support is prompt, enhancing my overall efficiency.

  ### 12. Effortless Data Integration with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I use Fivetran for pulling in data from multiple external sources. It provides a clean schema from external vendors, saving us the effort and time we would otherwise spend maintaining or creating a schema downstream. I like their flexibility and their list of external vendors they work with, making it one of the best tools out there. It's particularly helpful because it creates a clean usable schema. Additionally, Fivetran is value for money, and the initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

Feature requests are completely slow and never work, which is frustrating because it could be faster so we could derive more value from custom connection requests. Also, Fivetran could tap into the sharding and microsharding world where the whole data is moving. I'm surprised to see that they aren't already doing this.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fivetran is a one-stop solution for importing data from multiple sources, providing a clean schema from external vendors and saving time and effort. Its flexibility and broad integrations with vendors offer great value, and it delivers a clean, usable schema easily.

  ### 13. Surprisingly Easy Setup, Smooth Warehouse Sync, and Great Performance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

Actually surprisingly easy to setup and follow a self serve path, the data is move to the warehouse is a ordered fashion and schema changes are handled well. Surprisingly easy to our data out of vendors and in to a warehouse where we can query it. Free plan is generous enough to know it will work and performance has been great.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

Could have more connectors to cover more apps on the market, I think this should be expanded without compromising the detail of the schema. Then we could justify a better ROI, otherwise we need to use other services. I'd also like to see a direct integration with data analytics platforms like Metabase and Graphana to analyse the warehoused data.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting our data out of vendors via their APIs so we can run our own reports and generate accurate business stats without rebuilding the infrastructure in house.

  ### 14. Effortless Data Integration with Wide Connectivity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Satya Prateek B. | Director of Data Science, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I use Fivetran for end-to-end data integration and love how easy it is to get data into our warehouse for analytics, especially as a small data team. It takes little effort, which is crucial for us. I appreciate the wide list of connectors they offer, which really expands our integration capabilities. HIPAA compliance is imperative for us as a healthcare company, and Fivetran meets this need. I also found the initial setup to be very easy.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

The pricing model is unpredictable. We had an Excel connector where someone double-clicked a column till the end of the file, adding a million extra monthly active rows to our Fivetran costs. Also, their support team is not easily reachable, and they default to just the same responses from the support documentation.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fivetran simplifies data integration for our small team, easily aggregating and transforming data from multiple sources. Its ease of use and HIPAA compliance are crucial for our healthcare needs.

  ### 15. Reliable Data Sync That Keeps Everything Up to Date

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa S. | Business Intelligence Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I love that it keeps our data in sync and up-to-date as often as we need it and it's very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

That I have to pay for it, but the price is reasonable considering the value it provides.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has allowed us to sync our Salesforce data, Google Analytics data and data from other systems very easily and we don't have to think about it and we didn't have to build API's or SSIS packages to do this.

  ### 16. Efficient Data Integration with Cost Concerns

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I use Fivetran mainly for managing data ingestion from SaaS systems into our warehouses like Snowflake. The system's main value is its speed and reliability, which allows me to avoid spending engineering time on building and maintaining custom connectors for systems like Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, and Intercom. This leads to a stable pipeline with much less overhead, enabling my data team to focus more on modeling, analytics, and business use cases rather than debugging jobs and failures. The initial setup of Fivetran was very easy, fast, and intuitive, with a user-friendly UI and dashboard that allows understanding of consumption and the choice to sync specific tables. Fivetran is intuitive, flexible, and easy to use, which makes me very satisfied with the tool.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

I think the biggest issue is the cost. It's kinda convenient, but it can get very expensive as usage scales. If you have many connectors or high data volume, it's great for speed but not always the most cost-efficient option for the long term. There are also some losses of flexibility compared to building the data pipeline on your own.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fivetran to manage data ingestion from SaaS systems into Snowflake. It provides speed and reliability, reducing time spent on building custom connectors and lowering personal overhead. Fivetran allows data teams to focus on analytics rather than debugging, and the setup is very easy and intuitive.

  ### 17. Simplifies Connector Management, but Manual Fixes and Observability Still Hurt

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

We switched to Fivetran in order to stop maintaining our own ad-hoc connectors, which was brittle and time consuming. Fivetran definitely helps with hiding the complexities of connectors, retries, mapping of fields, etc. It makes it painless to add new connectors, too.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

For a product aimed at reducing complexity, we still experience regular problems (once or twice a month) with connectors requiring manual intervention. Also, observability is not straightforward: there used to be a log which could be accessed from the UI, which was then moved to a destination that can be queried with SQL; while the latter is more flexible, for quick checking of problems the UI-accessible log was better. Furthermore, the destination-as-log can be impacted by outages, resulting in situations where you are blind to what the actual problem was.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fivetran solves one specific problem for us: fast integration of third party data sources into our data platform.

  ### 18. Intuitive UI and Versatile Connectors Make Setup a Breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pablo L. | IT Finance Systems Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I like their UI and the variety of available connectors. They’re really easy to set up, even if you have limited technical knowledge.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

Sometimes, their notifications can be a bit brief, specifically when daily data syncs are failing.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving our connection between our HRIS and Snowflake. It's benefiting us by creating a SOX-compliant alternative for our financial reporting.

  ### 19. Powerful Unified Dataset, but Sync Scheduling Needs More Flexibility

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I like how it transforms data from multiple databases into a single, resolvable, SQL-like dataset, including data coming from NoSQL databases.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

By default, it should allow sync intervals of less than 15 minutes and offer more granularity in how data is synced. The current three options (only new columns, new data, etc.) aren’t very helpful. We should also have the ability to periodically run a full data sync.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a lot of data spread across multiple databases that needs to be consolidated and prepared so we can run analytics on it.

  ### 20. Sampling Data We Love

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** alpana c. | Search Engine Optimization Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

The sampling data helps me prepare Press releases, case studies, data-driven stories, study patterns etc. It gives me insight into cultural shifts happening geographically. When I was working for a sustainability site, Census helped me find information about funding, allocation, and more. It is also a very reliable benchmark source for studies and surveys.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

Sometimes data can be outdated. Census data is collected every 5 or 10 years so one might question if the data is even reliable or not. I cannot think of anything that I dislike about Census.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepare highly relevant press releases and data-driven stories that have a high chance of getting published on journalist pages.

  ### 21. Easy Integrations and Great Support, But Expensive

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jami O. | Chief Technology Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

It was easy to set up and get up and running quickly for integrations. Support was also great, especially when we ran into performance issues.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

It’s expensive, and the pricing became confusing after the merger with Census.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating legacy platforms into Snowflake.

  ### 22. Active Support and Easy UI, but AI-Powered Pipeline Creation Is Missing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

The support is very active and help to make the POC work. They help to understand the business usecase and provide assistance. UI is easy to navigate, understand and try things out. During working with Fivetran the performance seems good, having schedule options, multiple pipelines at time. It does not have AI intelligence features but making efforts for DBT to me integrated which will help to more forward easily for transformation. Price is market competitive for similar integrations for other vendors.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

No AI or easy to quickly make pipelines, AI can help about to create it. Not much other integrations vendors to ingest the data which was needed.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ingesting data from different sources for reporting and analytics.

  ### 23. Reliable Monitoring and Quick Support, but Rising Costs and Shopify Connector Limits

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

Seamless connectivity and quick support. We haven’t had many incidents or much downtime, which has been great. The alerts and monitoring are solid and help us stay on top of things.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

The costs have increased significantly. Also, the Shopify connector doesn’t let me select or deselect columns, which is a major limitation.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It lets us connect to multiple data sources and bring everything into an ingestible format for our data warehouse, without having to build new connectors ourselves.

  ### 24. Fivetran has been our

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

The best thing about Fivetran is the wide range of connectors with almost every data ingestion service and the ease of use. Automated schema handling and incremental syncs make it particularly strong for scaling ingestion across many systems.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

We have occasionally seen unexpected full reloads, which can be disruptive for high volume tables. MAR (Monthly Active Rows) pricing also lacks transparency and can quickly escalate for frequently updated datasets. In some cases, the fully managed nature of the platform limits deeper customisation.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fivetran benefits us by giving us reliable, low‑maintenance data ingestion with minimal engineering effort. Its wide range of connectors lets us onboard new data sources quickly, while automated schema handling and incremental syncs reduce breakages and manual work. Overall, it speeds up our data pipelines, improves reliability, and frees our team to focus on analytics rather than managing pipelines.

  ### 25. Effective Data Capture Tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I like Fivetran for its effectiveness at change data capture and the HVR agent has been very valuable in quietly harvesting the data. It gathers data while putting zero load on the source database, which is really beneficial for loading near real-time data into our enterprise data platform on Snowflake.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

The user interface and error messaging could be more modern and user-friendly. Error messages can be less than helpful sometimes, and the UI is a bit archaic.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fivetran for loading near real-time data into Snowflake, gathering data with zero load on the source database. Its change data capture is effective, and the HVR agent quietly harvests data, which is valuable.

Nothing major as of now. I’ve just noticed that a few niche tools aren’t available.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CDC replicating jira primarily. Team said they had several issues with salesforces setup hence switched to databricks pysparkk jobs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke M. | Senior Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

I like that Fivetran requires low maintenance and ensures data integrity and recovery with minimal custom scripting. I appreciate how it abstracts much of the 'EL' work, letting us focus more on delivering solutions. It saves us time from fiddling with extract and load processes, so we can concentrate on solving problems for our stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

More detailed errors and log history would be ideal. Clearer root cause rather than generic error messages would help us debug or triage.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fivetran is low maintenance, ensures data integrity and recovery, and requires minimal custom scripting. It abstracts much of the 'EL' dirty work, letting us focus on solving stakeholder problems instead of fiddling with extraction and loading.

  ### 48. Amazing product that makes data syncing effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis C. | Head of Business Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

Fivetran excels at doing one thing incredibly well: reliably syncing data from multiple SaaS tools into a central data warehouse like BigQuery. The setup is remarkably fast—most connectors are essentially plug-and-play, with minimal configuration. I especially appreciate the wide connector library, automatic schema management, and robust alerting system. For a small team without a full-time data engineer, it’s a game-changer. It eliminates a ton of manual work and lets us focus on deriving insights rather than wrangling APIs.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

Pricing can be a barrier for early-stage startups or companies with unpredictable data volumes. Since Fivetran charges based on monthly active rows (MAR), costs can spike unexpectedly as your data grows—even if you’re not increasing the number of sources. Additionally, some niche connectors are still in beta or lack full functionality, and the granularity of scheduling could be more flexible (e.g., custom cron instead of fixed intervals).

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fivetran helps us eliminate the manual, error-prone process of building and maintaining custom data pipelines. As a consultancy supporting startups and SMEs, we often deal with a wide variety of SaaS tools—HubSpot, Google Ads, Stripe, Facebook Ads, and more. Fivetran makes it easy to centralise this fragmented data into BigQuery with minimal effort, enabling us to deliver faster, more reliable insights for our clients. It also removes the need for ongoing connector maintenance, which is a massive time-saver for lean teams. The automatic schema updates and built-in monitoring reduce data downtime and ensure our dashboards and reports stay up-to-date.

  ### 49. Seamless data integration with fast setup and responsive support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hayk C. | VP of Data, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

Fivetran makes data integration incredibly easy. Setting up connectors takes only minutes, and the automated pipelines handle schema changes seamlessly. The sync process is fast and reliable, and the documentation and UI make it straightforward to monitor jobs. Whenever I had questions, the support team was responsive and helpful, making adoption smooth.

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

There’s not much to dislike given the overall value. Pricing can be higher than some alternatives, especially for smaller data volumes, but the ease of setup, speed, and excellent support make it worthwhile.

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fivetran eliminates the need to build and maintain custom data pipelines. It automatically replicates data from numerous sources into our data warehouse, which allows our analysts to focus on generating insights instead of managing integrations. The platform keeps pace with schema changes and ensures data is synced quickly and accurately, saving us significant engineering time and enabling more timely reporting.

  ### 50. Reliable, Fully Managed Experience—But Pricing Limits Flexibility

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bas W. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Fivetran?**

The reliability of Fivetran exceeds community-driven solutions, it's a more full-managed service experience

**What do you dislike about Fivetran?**

Pricing and lack of open source hosting solutions to reduce overall cost

**What problems is Fivetran solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy ingestion layer for data pipelines which saves us time on both configuration / creation of the pipelines and the ongoing maintenance for any changes in the data
