## About ENCY
ENCY is a CAD/CAM for a new generation that combines advanced CAM technology with an intuitive user interface and natural workflow. Serving industries such as aerospace, automotive, and consumer goods, ENCY provides powerful tools for 2D/3D modeling, toolpath generation, simulation, and G-code verification, specifically tailored for CNC machining applications. As an integrated CAD/CAM solution, ENCY gives CAM programmers and engineers precise tools to control each machining step. This control ensures highly efficient workflows and consistently accurate parts, tailored to specific production requirements. Main Features and Benefits: - Advanced Toolpath Calculation: Generates optimized, machine-specific toolpaths for various processes, including 2D, 3-axis, 5-axis, and mill-turn operations, maximizing machine capability and precision. - High-Fidelity Simulation: ENCY CAM offers both solid and voxel-based simulations to replicate material removal, additive processes, and painting. These simulations detect potential issues like collisions and out-of-gauge conditions, helping avoid costly errors. - NC-Code Verification: Comprehensive G-code simulation and validation catch errors and discrepancies early, reducing machine downtime and minimizing risk. - Stock Tracking and Material Management: Tracks material removal throughout each machining operation, preventing redundant cuts and optimizing efficiency by ensuring purposeful toolpath creation and shortened machining time. - Machine Setup and Digital Twin Creation: Allows users to build digital twins of CNC machines, including tools, fixtures, and setup configurations. This capability improves setup accuracy and enables seamless transfer of setups across projects. - Integrated Collaboration via ENCY Clouds: ENCY Clouds provides real-time communication between programmers and operators, enhancing project sharing, NC-code fine-tuning, and troubleshooting. ENCY empowers industries focused on high-precision manufacturing with the tools needed to create accurate, efficient, and reliable machining workflows, enhancing productivity and minimizing downtime.

## ENCY Reviews
  ### 1. High quality toolpaths with exceptional linking control

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edvin S. | CEO / Machinist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about ENCY?**

ENCY has a very complete set of operations for advanced five axis milling and surfacing. The operations generate extremely quickly and produce smooth, high quality toolpaths. The speed of the interface and toolpath calculation allows me to focus on the work instead of waiting on calculations.

My favorite feature is the ability to control efficient transitions between operations, especially those involving changes of the rotational axis. On production jobs, this saves seconds if not minutes for every part.

Their proprietary 3D engine is second to none, outperforming the biggest players in the field, producing crisp, super fast graphics updates.

As a software developer I appreciate their open APIs which are free to use, enabling integration between our CRM system and external tooling catalogue system.

The feature based milling (FBM) is a game changer especially for hole operations. Programming threaded or multi-step holes in seconds in a consistent manner, allowing us to improve the process over time and never missing out on lessons learned.

Creating our own machine simulation kit with post processor was a breeze. They even provide an integrated development environment for free. No more paying tens of thousands of euros for simulation kits and post processors. Their support has been extremely helpful in ironing out details for us.

**What do you dislike about ENCY?**

It has integrated CAD, but currently it is not a replacement for a full CAD package.

I miss a better feeds and speeds library that takes workpiece material into account, but we work around it through external integration until it is available natively in ENCY (was told it is in the works).

Currently lacking real component constraints, so I use my CAD software to configure complex setups and bring in the part files already positioned towards each other as a workaround until ENCY improves their constraint support.

**What problems is ENCY solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manufacturing of parts in an efficient and safe manner.

  ### 2. Ency makes robotic milling of sculptures an efficient and reassuring experience.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joakim M. | Model maker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2024

**What do you like best about ENCY?**

Toolpath calculation is quick which makes it easy to test a setup with full preview of all the robot kinematics during simulation. Axis mapping allows for fine tuning a number of motion variables. I also like the freedom to switch parts and workpieces anywhere in the operation hierarchy and work with auxiliary geometry for precise control.

MachineMaker lets you configure any conceivable machine combination and the post processor is open to experiment with. If you get stuck you just send a support request!

**What do you dislike about ENCY?**

The operation preset interface needs a bit of work and I would appreciate being able to configure hotkeys for common routines to reduce working so much with the mouse.

**What problems is ENCY solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ency to generate toolpaths for two industrial robots doing subtractive milling of sculptures, models and moulds in the art and design business. I would not have succeeded in such a short time span without a consistent toolpath generation/simulation tool. It has the milling strategies I need and it doesn't get in the way of my preferable workflow.

  ### 3. The perfect tool for digital fabrication and milling shops

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edgar M. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2024

**What do you like best about ENCY?**

What I like best about ENCY, is its allows for efficient and detailed programming without needing the robot to be online, which minimizes downtime and increases productivity.

**What do you dislike about ENCY?**

The price point still high for small businesses, I would recommend to find a way to create a suscription based option for lite versions, allowing small businesses to learn and thrive.

**What problems is ENCY solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most helpful feature is the ability to thoroughly test and optimize robot programs before running them in real-world scenarios. This reduces errors, saves time, and provides greater control over the process.
