What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?
My main frustration is that pricing can get fairly expensive if you use ElevenLabs often or need to generate a large amount of audio. The quality is absolutely there, but on higher-volume projects the costs add up quickly, which can make the ROI feel less compelling compared with simpler text-to-speech alternatives.
I’d also like to see more consistency from customer support. For straightforward questions it’s generally fine, but when the issue is more technical or account-specific, getting a thorough, detailed response can sometimes take longer than I expect. More proactive support, clearer troubleshooting resources, and faster response times for paid users would make the overall experience smoother.
On the product side, I occasionally notice inconsistencies in how certain voices handle pronunciation, emotion, or longer passages of text. The AI is very strong overall, but I sometimes have to regenerate output or tweak the wording to get exactly what I’m aiming for. These are relatively minor drawbacks, though, and they don’t outweigh the platform’s overall quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Recommendations to others considering ElevenLabs:
To enhance the user experience, I recommend considering a more flexible pricing model that accommodates both frequent and high-volume users. This could involve tiered pricing or discounts for bulk usage, making it more accessible for different user needs.
Improving customer support by offering more detailed resources and faster response times would also be beneficial. A dedicated support team for technical issues and account-specific inquiries could streamline the process and enhance user satisfaction.
On the product side, refining the AI's ability to handle complex text passages and emotional nuances would further elevate the platform's quality. Regular updates and user feedback integration could help in maintaining a competitive edge and ensuring the tool remains relevant and effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is ElevenLabs solving and how is that benefiting you?
ElevenLabs mainly solves the challenge of producing high-quality voice content without needing professional voice actors, recording equipment, or spending a lot of time on editing. I can take a written script and quickly turn it into a natural-sounding voiceover, which noticeably speeds up my content creation workflow.
It’s also useful when I need different voices, languages, or multiple variations of the same content. Rather than coordinating recordings and doing take after take, I can try different options and make adjustments almost immediately. The AI quality is strong enough that the final output often needs very little post-production.
For me, the biggest benefit is the combination of **time savings, flexibility, and consistent quality**. It makes voice production far more accessible and scalable, although for very high-volume usage I still have to weigh the pricing and whether the ROI justifies the additional generation costs.
