What do you like best about Amex GBT Egencia?

What I like best is how easy it makes booking and managing trips across multiple regions. The platform offers a huge selection of flights, hotels, and car rentals, all in one place — so we rarely run into availability issues. Egencia touts “consumer-like” simplicity for business travel and strong traveler support. For travelers, ease of booking, mobile access, real-time changes matter a lot — and this is emphasised. What do you dislike about Amex GBT Egencia?

While Amex GBT Egencia offers strong global coverage and great reporting tools, the least helpful aspect is that the platform can feel a bit limited and clunky at times. Some low-cost flight options don’t always appear in search results, and the interface for modifying or managing complex bookings isn’t always intuitive.

Customer support can also be inconsistent during high-volume travel periods, which can make resolving urgent issues a little stressful. Additionally, pricing through Egencia doesn’t always match what’s available directly through airlines or hotels.

What do you like best about Amex GBT Egencia?

I admire Amex GBT Egencia's ability to display all flight and hotel options with a single click, making the booking process significantly more efficient. This centralization allows me to choose and book directly without having to wait for a travel agency's response. The interface is intuitive, making it easy to use without requiring training for new employees. I particularly appreciate the traveler tracking tool, which gives me quick access to their travel details, even if I'm not involved in every choice they make. It allows travelers to book directly, which is extremely convenient, especially when I have to manage travelers across different time zones in Canada. This quick and optimized transition from traditional travel agency management to a modern platform like Egencia was also facilitated by in-person training, making the integration simple and fast. What do you dislike about Amex GBT Egencia?

It is sometimes not possible to change flights, or to cancel a flight. Or even to use a credit. There have been improvements but not yet optimal. I really like Amex GBT Egencia for its price comparison feature which allows me to easily compare different prices for hotels and flights. This capability helps us make cost-effective decisions without needing to sift through multiple bookings manually. I also appreciate the option to charge expenses directly to a company card, which is especially convenient since not all employees have their own company cards. This not only simplifies our expense tracking processes but also ensures that employees can book their travel without any financial hurdles. Moreover, the setup process was incredibly smooth and straightforward. Importing employee information was hassle-free because I could transfer data easily from our previous system, which was a huge timesaver. I find it frustrating that when using different airlines for outbound and return flights, I have to conduct two separate transactions, each incurring a $9 fee. What do you like best about Amex GBT Egencia?

Egencia is really all about a streamlined platform to optimize travel bookings and budget control. It was very easy to implement as you are guided through the process by multiple experienced Egencia gurus. The platform is user friendly and I like that you can book an entire trip, from flight to car to hotel so seamlessly while getting alerts about policy so that employees can make compliant decisions or make cases for out of policy trips and get approval before booking. What do you dislike about Amex GBT Egencia?

Not a lot of downside here, but there are almost too many features to try to understand in a relatively quick implementation period. We're still not using the platform to its fullest, but I hope in time we will learn more about it and make more use of all its features, including the analytics. What do you like best about Amex GBT Egencia?

I appreciate how straightforward the setup process was with Amex GBT Egencia, which was greatly facilitated by their well-established processes and highly skilled team. Their expertise made implementing the system a very easy task. Another feature I love is how Amex GBT completely transformed our travel management. Before using this service, it was a challenge to gather travel data and keep track of everyone's location, but now, anytime, I know exactly where all our travelers are and how much they have spent, which is invaluable. The reporting capabilities are exceptional as well; my accounts payable team loves how they can access any data they need with just a few clicks, making their job so much easier. I have a problem with the pricing discrepancy between Egencia and airline websites. Sometimes my travelers find tickets listed on Egencia, but when they check the airline's website, the same tickets are available for a little bit cheaper. What do you like best about Amex GBT Egencia?

I find Egencia easy to use to book all my business travel in one spot - flights, hotel, cars and within my companies' travel policies. It's super easy to add any of these or change for each trip. If you ever run into an issue pre or mid trip the support is fantastic. And I appreciate the trip reveipts. I also like being able to easily share trips and add to my calendars. What do you like best about Amex GBT Egencia?

* Egencia is a self-user travel platform where our employees can be responsible for their travel needs.

* Egencia has let us implement our travel policies that best fit our organization's travel needs so that we can continue traveling at the most economical fares.

* Egencia approval settings have helped us hold different department heads accountable for their travelers who do not follow our policy.

* Travel reports have helped us identify month-to-month and year-to-year travel increases or decreases and in what areas we travel the most

* Egencia preferred rates, along with our corporate-established rates for hotels, have worked to ensure the best nightly rates.

* When in need, Egencia customer service has been their to support not only our travelers but myself as the travel manager over our account.

* Our organization uses egencia everyday we have over 2000 employees traveling on a regular bases each quarter.

* Egencia has improved every year to include more features and make our travel booking needs easier on the platform.

* When egencia has done site updates, it has been very easy for us to continue booking without confusion.

* At times, we do get customer service agents that are new and are still in the training process so our call times when calling customer service are long to make changes on an itinerary. For example an hour
