I’m a system analyst, and I really like this project management tool. We use it every day to track projects, and I can see all my tasks across multiple clients in one place. Allowing specific fields for each project or task. We are using these fields to capture specific details for each project. An example of a custom field we've included in projects is "Topics associated with project". Each project will have a list of topics to choose from e.g. Youth, Older Adults, etc.). We then pull a report to see how many projects are associated with a specific word to find opportunities and gaps. Other features include Fin which is very useful. Unfortunately, we've come across quite a bit of pushback from some of our staff due to the user access we have provided them. Looking back, I hope Birdview provided a more thorough consultation of our organization structure, workflow and need to ensure we purchase the right licenses. Additionally, I wish Birdview provided a more thorough overview of the features (custom field purpose and use), Resources, how to create reports and dashboards, and licenses, specifically which role would be best recommended for each license. This may have avoided the current pushback we are having. We are also now realizing that additional integrations (Microsoft 365) are needed for Birdview to be usable for some of our staff members. Unfortunately, we did not budget for these additional costs and so we are unable to make these integrations, therefore some staff members will not be using Birdview. Lastly, I was hoping Birdview would have provided a more detailed plan for onboarding staff, including a list of supports after launch, structure for how to provide training, detailed how to guides, how to use Fin, Help Centre, where to find webinars, how to submit requests and future features, etc. It would not allow me to upload a screenshot of my Birdview account.
