I loved the fact that the staff was super-responsive to my questions, honest about their limitations, and assisted with getting alternative methods to get what I was looking for. **What do you dislike about DocuGen?** There are some limitations in the generation of documents that might have more than two tables in them. I was trying to create an agenda beyond the example they have on their page. (Anyone familiar with agendas knows their company has a way they like to see them). It would be nice to be able to directly format or call sub-items in the way you can with <>, something like <>. This would allow for greater control of the document generation and using multiple tables on a page when needed. I am currently generating the document, having it sent to my email, cleaning it up and then adding back in as a version, which is cumbersome. **Recommendations to others considering DocuGen:** Just give it a try. It's free to start testing it out, and their support is very, well, supportive! **What problems is DocuGen solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was trying to increase the visibility of projects within my organization and came across DocuGen while looking for export functions. Not everyone is on-board with project management software, so I have to communicate across multiple departments using formats they are familiar with (Word, Excel, pdf). I have found that I can still utilize my tool and quickly generate formatted documents for other stakeholders. Using an existing company template while populating it with the data I already have in my system is a great time-saver. ### 3. I briefly looked at other options to integrate with Monday.com but they didn't seem to have the same amount of design flexibility. **What do you dislike about DocuGen?** Unfortunately, some column types and formula types are not supported. Some of this I've found out the hard way - and learned to use generalcaster as a workaround. Still, I sometimes have issues getting the formatting I'd like in my document, such as with phone numbers. **What problems is DocuGen solving and how is that benefiting you?** So far, I've been using DocuGen for sample requests, approval labels, and commission forms to pull information directly from our Monday.com setup for colleagues/departments that still require paperwork to execute their tasks. My intention (once I recongifure some of my Monday.com structures) is to use it for client paperwork like quotes and contracts. This will be key for improving collaboration and efficiency, ensuring brand standards/consistency in paperwork ---- and, most importantly, helping my colleagues see the benefit of Monday.com by making it indispensible to their work. If we generate our quotes etc directly in Monday.com with the click of a button thanks to Docugen, the data entry is already done and won't be a clunky extra step. ### 5. Once you figure out how the placeholders are generated, it's really easy to create your own template in Word and create a personalized doc in one click. The integration with monday.com is pretty simple to execute too. And if you have any issues, the support team is really friendly and super responsive. **What do you dislike about DocuGen?** I wish I could set up an automation to send the generated doc as a file attachment, but I think that's a shortcoming of Monday.com, not Docugen. And certain types of fields are not supported, but again, that may be on Monday.com's end. **What problems is DocuGen solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used to generate all of our prep docs, bios, and other related documents manually....which is so time-consuming. Even using form fields in Word, it would take forever. Now, I can generate a personalized draft in just one click. ### 6. Docugen has solved a serious gap in the Monday platform to export data in a clean professional way. It has added a huge amount of value to our deployment. We use it to generate internal, and external documents in an automated dynamic fashion. Their UI, and stability help them stand out from the rest of the so-called "PDF" apps, however, what makes them soar as a true business partner is how they work with you to implement it. My support tech Neda, has gone above and beyond, answering all my questions, building out my templates and even helping certain features get prioritized providing me even more value. I've never had a company do this before—especially for free software. I had multiple problems on my end (not their fault, everything was documented and setup perfectly I just have a hard time learning new software) and they walked me through every single issue I had. And they even followed up with me when it took me a day or two to get back with them. The actual software itself is amazing! It is SO flexible and robust! I used it to create an Expense Report for the books we produce and it complied perfectly! And I love the one-click integration for the reports! **What do you dislike about DocuGen?** The interface was a bit difficult for me to use. It wasn't intuitive for me. I don't usually like to read instructions on how to use a new piece of software. I like to just jump in and figure it out as I go. I had to read the documentation for this one. But their documentation was the best! Easy to understand. So maybe it's just me... **What problems is DocuGen solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows me to generate an expense report from Monday.com with literally ONE CLICK. All of my data is already housed in Monday so with DocuGen I don't have to export the data from Monday and repurpose it. It stays in one place and with one click it exports a Word doc with the expenses formatted the way we need them to lok. ### 8. Our team funtions almost entirely on Monday.com, and the integration with the two is quite the benefit- especially when you can take relevant information and put it on forms, documents, and office material at the click of a button. **What do you dislike about DocuGen?** The most notable downside I've encountered in my experience with DocuGen would be the format that's required to take information from one platform and put it into a specific document. An example would be our warehouse labels. When we get deliveries, we like to label all pieces in a bright neon-colored label; unfortunately, these labels aren't as big as a document. Often, the text needed to indicate the correct Monday column to take the information from is too large to translate properly into a seamless auto-injected result. Instead of <> it would be much further space preserving to type for example. **What problems is DocuGen solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problem DocuGen is directly eliminating for our team is the ever-omnipresent Administrative Redundancy. For a small charge, we save hours and hours of time; which at this time and climate, personnel work hours is quite valuable. ### 9. And for each event the producer is required to take specific hardwares. I would like to create such a checklist from Monday. These documents are in my inbox moments after clicking the button to create them and ready to send to clients or departments. Great tool! **What do you dislike about DocuGen?** When I am creating contracts from Monday.com, I have trouble getting the dollar values to fill in with 2 decimal places (e.g. $10.52). I spent an afternoon trying to solve that and gave up, but I am sure there is a solution available. If just means I have to do a little editing once I get the emailed version, but this could speed up efficiency. **What problems is DocuGen solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am saving a ton of time by using DocuGen to create the documents I need. As Project Manager, it was my responsibility to investigate how we could do this in the simplest, most user-friendly way. Being able to generate a document that pulls all the necessary information from the Monday platform into the required document has been a revelation. Docugen is simple, straightforward, intuitive and has enabled us to create an efficient and diligent way of onboarding our Agents without the complications of any other applications within the process. We have, in turn, been able to integrate docugen with scribe to be able to send contracts straight to an Agent to be signed digitally. From a process that previously required the posting of documents once signed, this has reduced processing times significantly. Our team has also been very impressed with the support we have received. It also helps automate so many processes that might take much more time when combined with the proper Monday integrations and automations. Also the customer support is truly amazing! They have been there along every step of the way with a quick response and have helped to solve many of the issues we faced while setting it up. **What do you dislike about DocuGen?** The setup can definitely be challenging. This is especially true if you have a complex Monday board but it is totally worth it in the end. While it is a great app, there is certainly room for improvement. Some features that are currently unavailable that would be useful are: Support for formula columns, as well as, all the other unsupported Monday columns. The ability to filter a specific item on the mobile app and have it work with the integration. (we currently just use the status integration and move the pulse to an empty group as a workaround to the above) Allowing the user to select a specific folder in the google drive that the document gets generated in. (This would allow us to just share the folder and everyone can have their own google accounts instead of a bunch of people on one account) The ability to automatically send the generated document to someone's email and possibly request a signature or upload it to a specific Monday pulse. **Recommendations to others considering DocuGen:** It's free!
