Delta DNA is a good alternative with amplitude and Firebase. It's focused on game developers and contains events and parameters focused on games.
There is a trial for DDNA for 30 days which developers can try out to experiment with the features. Apart from basic events analysis DDNA also provides A/B testing and segmentation for users. The dashboard is still comprehensive with data for quick view. DDNA also provides segmentation for test users, paying users, or anything specific for targeting.
Unity support is a big plus. Documentation is comprehensive and easy to navigate with screenshots and code based references which is easy to follow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI is very messy and hard to navigate. UI feels very glitchy and not aligned Creating custom dashboards is difficult, the best strategy is to export the data and use external tools to make sense of the data. Event browser has a big delay time of 15-20 minutes which can be frustrating for a few users or QA.
Invalid events are not logged into the dashboard and discarded until the event parameters are fixed.
Resetting user data or switching user profiles within the game might break the analytics flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
