## GameAnalytics Reviews
  ### 1. User-Friendly Integration and Customizable Dashboards for Launch Success

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nitin J. | Technical Director At CYMPL Studios, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2026

**What do you like best about GameAnalytics?**

GameAnalytics is very user-friendly and easy to integrate. Its default dashboard provides all the critical information needed for a product at the initial launch. Later, we can customize and manipulate it according to our requirements.

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

There are some limitations when sending events, such as a maximum of five parameters per event. I’m also looking for a way to create templates that can be applied to every new project.

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gameanalytics provides accurate data that helps us evaluate the game at an early stage and quickly update the build accordingly. It also lets us send device-specific events and error events, which helps improve overall build quality.

  ### 2. Easily Track User Behavior and AB Testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rasmus V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about GameAnalytics?**

I love GameAnalytics for its easily usable analytics dashboard, which is quick and easily understandable. The SDK is also very easy to use. Everything works very well, and I appreciate that they constantly test new experimental features, showing they continue to innovate in the space. The setup was very easy, and I've found myself always coming back to GameAnalytics due to its effectiveness.

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

I would like to see an easy-to-use 'journey' tool that can showcase the journey players take, particularly to pinpoint exactly where most users stop playing.

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GameAnalytics to track retention, monetization, and A/B testing in our mobile game, and it helps determine roughly where users stop playing and compare in-app purchase users with ad users.

  ### 3. Essential Tool for Solo Game Developers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nursultan N. | Game Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2026

**What do you like best about GameAnalytics?**

I like the real-time data and up-to-date SDK for Unreal Engine that GameAnalytics offers. These features help me track and improve my game's performance and revenue efficiently. The initial setup was relatively easy, which made integrating it into my process a smooth experience.

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

I'd like to see more features available in the free plan. Specifically, more data about retention would be great.

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GameAnalytics to track my Android game’s stats, particularly for retention. It provides real-time data and an up-to-date SDK for Unreal Engine, helping me track and improve the game and revenue. I switched from Firebase to GameAnalytics to avoid ad SDK conflicts.

  ### 4. Essential Tool for Indie Game Studios

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eshan N.

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025

**What do you like best about GameAnalytics?**

I appreciate that GameAnalytics is free to use, especially being an indie developer. It significantly helps us by allowing us to access its functionalities without any cost, enabling us to analyze multiple games and gather good insights across various platforms like mobile, web, desktop, and Xbox. The ability to understand user behavior across these platforms is invaluable. The integration with Unity is particularly seamless, as the SDK provided by the GameAnalytics team is very streamlined and simple to use. This ease of integration is a crucial factor for us. GameAnalytics offers real-time data without causing cross-platform errors, which is a major advantage over other analytics tools we previously used. The product’s capability to deliver insights on player retention, user behavior, and revenue projections assists us in improving our games and creating better user experiences.

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

I find the funneling system in GameAnalytics needs improvement. It could be more streamlined and should not require the current method to create a funnel, as it can be confusing when starting with the platform.

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GameAnalytics to track user behavior, retention, and revenue, providing crucial insights. It helps me improve game mechanics and user experience across platforms at no cost.

  ### 5. Effortless Setup and Insightful Analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arslan A.

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2026

**What do you like best about GameAnalytics?**

I am using GameAnalytics for tracking DAU and MAU for my apps and games, and I find it easy to understand user behavior, especially when it comes to the uninstall rate, which reflects user experience. I like the clear graphs showing structured data. The setup of GameAnalytics is much easier and faster compared to other systems like Firebase, where I experienced fewer build errors, making production faster.

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

I am quite satisfied about GameAnalytics. There is nothing to dislike.

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GameAnalytics makes understanding user behavior easy and highlights uninstall rates. It provides clear graphs with structured data. I find it easier and faster to set up compared to Firebase, reducing build errors and speeding up production.

  ### 6. GameAnalytics has been an essential tool for understanding real player behavior in my indie project.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thiago V. | Solo Developer of indie games., Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about GameAnalytics?**

After integrating GameAnalytics into my Steam demo (Chains on Sand), I was able to see detailed player flow—how many people launched the demo, how long they played, and where they dropped off. The biggest insight? Most players were leaving the demo in under 10 minutes. Without analytics, I would have assumed people just weren’t interested. Instead, I realized there were onboarding and UX issues turning players away early.
This data directly influenced my development approach.
Instead of focusing only on new features, I prioritized:
-Smoother tutorials and onboarding,
-Better feedback for common points of confusion,
-More polish in the first 10 minutes of gameplay.
Being able to see real player behavior—not just rely on gut feeling or rare feedback—made my updates far more effective. For any indie dev, GameAnalytics is an invaluable, easy-to-use way to focus your limited dev time where it actually matters.

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

It would be nice to have more granularity in the real time timelines.

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting feedback from players is a difficult task for begginers in the industry like me, so having a tool that allows toi gather information on player bevavior is invaluable.

  ### 8. Powerful Analytics and Effortless Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2026

**What do you like best about GameAnalytics?**

It offers solid data analytics tools, with the ability to create custom dashboards in a very easy way. Technical integration is easy, and can cover pretty much any platform. I've been using GA for more than 10 years now on almost every project!

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

Their A/B testing and remote config features have always felt like an afterthought, and as a result, are subpar compared to the rest of the market.

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collecting data is almost never an issue in an organization. The problem is more often: how do we make sense of it? By having a lot of built-in metrics and the ability to collect custom data as well, GA allows us to create dashboards that are specific to particular questions or product features. This helps create a culture of data analytics, no matter the level of understanding one might have of data in general.

  ### 9. Effortless Setup, Excellent Retention Tracking

**Reviewed by:** phuc p.

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2026

I like how GameAnalytics helps me ensure user retention and provides statistics that are useful for following my game. Although I mentioned wanting more from Crest Analytics, I feel everything is perfect now. Setting it up was straightforward; the tutorial on the help phase had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend GameAnalytics with a score of 10 out of 10.

Easy to understand and setup in Unity, it starts working right out of the box. Integration only requires a few steps, also i didn't encounter any build time issues with it.

I used it on my mobile and pc titles more than a 100 projects over the years.

Easy and intuitive UX, easy to learn for none data scientists. Extensive functionality as Remote Configs, Dashboards, Explore, AB Tests.

Lack of mobile version on iOS), not intuitive control on browser version on mobile. So far nothing much to add about functionality itself as it serves our team needs.

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data insights to prove hypotheses and improve project KPIs.

  ### 12. Attractive intuitive KPI display, but unfortunate that engagement cannot be saved.

  ### 13. Great to have donzens of metrics for game play

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2023

It is super to show to clients our games performances

  ### 14. A great tool to understand the profitability of your game

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rakib J. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

It's clarity of data visualization and how it clearly shows the retention and playtime numbers. I also love the funnels using which you can analyze in depth

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

I don't like the fact that tracking custom events is hard and it takes a lot of understanding to get a little out of it

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gameanalytics is solving the problem of understanding the profitability of a game by tracking certain indicators. We can use that invest more in high potential games

  ### 15. A really good analytics tool for games

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eduardo A. | Game Programmer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2019

**What do you like best about GameAnalytics?**

First of all, it is free; then it has everything that you can need for analyzing the data for a game (like graphics, funnels, cohorts and now with a beta of segments)

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

This tool doesn't suit for games with a large amount of users (it has a limit of 100,000 events per day per game).
It only has events for Android and iOS, other platforms are not directly compatible (although you can trick it by adding your custom events).
It doesn't have other features that paid tools have (for example A/B testing).

**Recommendations to others considering GameAnalytics:**

The technical implementation is straightforward so that a programmer won't have a problem doing it. The tricky part is to create the needed data inside the analytics dashboard; it is recommended to have a plan on what data the game needs beforehand.
Game analytics is powerful, but you need to set up many things manually inside the dashboard, and if you are not sure what is needed, then it can be a bit of a pain.

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is hard to know just by watching how the games are performing; you can have an idea by checking downloads and some data that stores give, but in the end, you need deeper information to know what is happening, how they are behaving in the hands of players.
That's where the game analytics come to help, you can have a deep analysis through the sent events, that way you can see places where your game can be improved. Everything to give a better user experience to the players.

  ### 16. Best analytics tool for games.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

Daily reports that can be understood by everyone, Consistent retention calculation, ARPDAU & ARPPU calculation, easy and short SDK integration for mobile applications for all platforms

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

Data export is a little hard issue, in-app purchases data is not consistent

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reading of metrics to solve understand the audience and monetize our game

  ### 17. Best Tracking Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harini S. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2021

**What do you like best about GameAnalytics?**

It helps to track the behavior and insights of the game. We can know the details and analytics of our game securely. Developer can manage their games easily.

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

I don't think any dislikes. It is a free tool, and get more details through this.

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a developer, we have to know the player's point of view, which will help find the good and bad of our game. This analytics tool is beneficial and satisfies that purpose.

  ### 18. Not a bad free solution

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2021

**What do you like best about GameAnalytics?**

The cost is very reasonable (free) but with free you may not get the support you need right away. So expect the tools to be buggy, especially around analysis and they seem to be migrating a lot of their tech so some things will not work each day.

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

You kind of get what you pay for, so if you're okay with more DIY style and going through on trying to figure some things out then it's not a bad choice. Community and support is hit or miss.

**Recommendations to others considering GameAnalytics:**

It's an inexpensive tool to get some good game analytics, but be aware it's free and your data is likely being used in aggregate.

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Have been using it as a secondary data source, they are pretty good at proposing a good data structure to measure economy flow which has been nice.

  ### 19. Interactive analytics tool

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about GameAnalytics?**

It allows us to manage our apps easily.
A fully loaded dashboard is the highlight of this tool, and It provides user management capability.

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

The dashboard is an advantage for this tool but also a disadvantage for some cases. People easily keep out of track because there is vast data loaded up.

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to determine the active users and how the app is getting consumes. It split up and put all the datas in one place for the user's convenience.
Revenue tracking.
The main thing is it keeps track of the stack of issues thrown by the app with detailed report.

**What do you like best about GameAnalytics?**

In addition to all the statistics it handles, it has many options to measure and analyze the performance of your games.

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

I wish it had sections for specific solutions, since it has so much information it can get confusing to find the one you need.

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to make changes to our application based on statistics, which has improved it.

  ### 25. interesting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Alternative Dispute Resolution | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about GameAnalytics?**

good quality, interesting approach, nice, good, i like it

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

simple, can be made much more innovationg,

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

benefits like time saving, mind focusing, increased brain capacity, nice approach

  ### 26. For free can’t complain

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2020

**What do you like best about GameAnalytics?**

Cost is free! The sdk is easy to integrate. It’s designed with gaming in mind so they have already predefined data structures. Liked their resources data model to track sources and sinks for monitoring your economy. They also offer benchmarks against your peer set which is interesting to see how you compare with other games in your genre.

They offer the following dashboards:
- Engagement
- Benchmarks
- Resources (economy)
- Monetization (rev)
- Progression (leveling up)
- Ads
- Quality (can report errors in the game)
- Remote config
- Funnels
- A/B testing capability

**What do you dislike about GameAnalytics?**

Since it’s free, support is weak to non-existence. You can email support but it will take awhile to get a response.
There’s several bugs on the dashboard when drilling down on analytics which make it sometimes frustrating to use.
There’s some data export capabilities but not always in the format or granularity needed.
It’s going through revamps so parts of the dashboard is old whereas other parts are revamped and sometimes the transitions between sections are jarring if not just broken.
It’s a work in progress where it feels there’s good stuff there but does need some more investments to be really great.

**Recommendations to others considering GameAnalytics:**

It’s worth evaluation and integrating but don’t rely on it for your sole data source (you really get what you pay for). For game specific metrics it’s not bad but they do need to fix some of their analytics explorer bugs to be useful and be able to drill down to identify issues.

For overall dashboards and a secondary source it’s a good choice.

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall dashboards are good and can be useful for:
1) a secondary data source as a sanity check on key metrics
2) resource tracking, the data model offers several layers of granularity which is good to identify any leaks or issues in the economy
3) they also offer industry comparison benchmarks which may or may not be that useful
4) the monetization dashboard offers automatic IAP tracking as well as key high-level KPIs, however to do deep cohort/segmentation on payers is difficult or not possible
5) progression is a useful tool to understand players progression in the game and areas players maybe getting stuck or areas of the game which requires re-tuning

  ### 27. Awesome analytics service for our games !

**Recommendations to others considering GameAnalytics:**

We suggest trying it out and seeing the result for yourselves !

**What problems is GameAnalytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to have actionable statistics about key performance indicators within our mobile games. GameAnalytics allows us to track these KPIs such as retention, DAARP and a lot more, which helps us makes better games as a result.
