Easy to maneuver, search, manipulate for our reports, etc, etc. Love the connection to AppleMail. Super user friendly and any time I've had to reach out to customer service, it's been fantastic. Making these changes is intuitive which make is more likely that employees will actually use this feature, and the results are very useful. **What do you dislike about Daylite?** I don't like not being able to see all user calendars in the mobile version. One example among the others is the Smart List feature of Daylite. I have had some issues with Daylite in the initial few weeks. Although it is not web based, it makes up for this with the very high level of integration particularly with Mail. Whenever clients see me using the product they always ask what it is and comment on how seamless it looks. I also use a number of the plugins which further help integrate the product into my business life. The app works great, there's 3rd party plugins to extend functionality and the support is great too. **Recommendations to others considering Daylite:** The additional investment in a consultant to help set you up with the right data architecture is really worth it. Daylite is so configurable and customisable that you can configure in ways that seem to make sense but with more experience you realise you've set off on the wrong path, however sensible that path seemed at the start. Linking data in an intuitive manner is great and does save a lot of time and effort. The manner of accessing screens is very intuitive also and takes much of the hardship out of managing the various processes that one uses Daylite for. I originally purchased Daylite for objectives management but I use it in other innovative ways to manage information now. Email integration is a huge factor for me and really does make my life much easier **What do you dislike about Daylite?** 1 - No dark mode - I work from 4am and while all else on my iMac desktop is easy on the eyes (in dark mode), I have to put Daylite on a separate screen that I can switch off - or get a headache. 2 - Lack of a report or journal that allows me to select a day or week, and see everything that I touched in Daylite for that time period. 3 - Integrations.... -- Why do I have to pay for Merlin to get a Ghantt chart for organising and projecting timelines going forward? -- Email marketing, tracking and management? -- Signing contract documents? Making handwritten notes or at least scanning in a notebook page and having OCR process it? -- Some of these solutions are open source so why do I need to take on other third party app's to 'talk' to Daylite? == Every time I have to upgrade one of these third party app's, I need to go away and test it before putting it on a production server = time + money + a few headaches and God forbid.... some work arounds that become obsolete when the next upgrade of either Daylite or the app with the workaround comes along. I tend to write notes because in what I do, banging words through a keyboard is not really and option when carrying a sensitive interview with a person for example. So I scan the notes and an app OCR's them and I then have searchable notes - but not in Daylite. I can save the image of the notes but that of itself is useless unless I type the notes out. An so I use a different app for this but that means using a different workflow with different results that do not harmonise with Daylite. This is a problem for me and only Daylites excellent data management attributes has stopped me from moving to another app because of it. The issue for me is not convenience - it's the sensitivity of having to use multiple app's to manage data that may be subject to GDPR or is part of a legal process, and where data custody and tracking accountability becomes an issue. **Recommendations to others considering Daylite:** Daylite is a simple to use product once you grasp what it can do, and how you can make it work for you. Look at the short and concise learning materials online and take in the product's configurable options and get an insight into how you can use them to solve everyday workflows, and the ways that it can also solve those one-off projects that require unique solutions to be executed. Daylite is very intuitive and one can get to grips with very quickly. Its limitations in data management and organisation terms are only constrained by the thought and time that you have to dedicate to getting it configuration right for what you need to do. **What problems is Daylite solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a researcher and investigator, I need different workflows for different tasks and Daylite gives me the ability fine tune these elements of the process to individual jobs. Client management is par for the course and one would expect that Daylite is well designed for such tasks. I love being able to create smart lists to track anything under the sun. I'm always discovering new features to make my job easier. I do a lot of sales tracking and connecting the dots on who we've worked with, what jobs we've won and lost, what regions we're most successful in, and Daylite is great for all of that. The mobile version is less dynamic, but it has everything I need on the go, like an easy to sort contact database so I can keep work contacts separate from my personal contacts easily. I also love the mail app integration for organizing all my emails into contacts and projects so I can get them out of my inbox. **What do you dislike about Daylite?** Simple features are missing, like having multiple 'people' or 'company' fields within a project. I'd love to be able to have a 'person' group for clients, in-house team, etc listed under each project. Luckily, Daylite team is pretty good at tracking feature requests and implementing them over time. The calendar could also use some work. You can't create a smart calendar just for 'tasks', only for appointments. You also can't create a calendar using custom dates from projects, like a due date. I've also had trouble integrated my Google calendar into Daylite, which is supposed to be a feature. There are also definite glitches that happen weekly, causing my program to crash. Usually they roll out fixes quickly for major crashes, but it isn't the most stable program. **Recommendations to others considering Daylite:** I recommend having one person helm the initial onboarding process, and work with a Daylite consultant to begin if you are new to the program. It's important to customize projects/people/additional fields/etc into the way you'd like to have it moving forward before adding more users. Best to establish common practices/forms/note structure/etc and have new users adopt those methods going in. **What problems is Daylite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping track of who I've worked with and when. I've recently been using 'Forms' a lot to create easy-to-export/print project sheets. I've also been using the contacts database as a substitute for my phone's contacts section since you can add so much useful information and easily see what jobs we've worked with people on already. My team has just started to integrate Daylite into their workflow as well. It's been an excellent tool for morning 'stand up' meetings (especially while we're all working remotely) to track what projects and tasks everyone has on deck. We can also view active tasks each person is working on, and add any updates. We're gradually workign toward the goal of zero-emails between the in-house team if possible. ### 35. My calendar, customer history of every email and document we've exchanged, next steps, groups, projects, etc. With a dashboard to help me prioritize every day it is seldom things fall through the cracks. It's only my own human error or lack of diligence that causes it. **What do you dislike about Daylite?** I wish working with companies was a little easier. I don't necessarily have a specific relationship with each company. The emails come from support or info@ so it takes a few extra steps to make that link. It doesn't call up the company automatically like it does the person. Not a big deal, but something I notice when trying to link at email. **Recommendations to others considering Daylite:** Daylite has continued to become more user friendly and intuitive over the years. I have also found it a lot easier to use since moving to the cloud. **What problems is Daylite solving and how is that benefiting you?** I like a paper daytimer as well. Walking away from the computer and reflecting on my day and schedule is nice. I simply know that I won't lose track of things when I set a next task for everything including things to read, follow-up on etc. ### 49. The Email Integration, it doesn't matter what your job description is these days...it will involve Email, so Seamless Integration with DL is of utmost importance. **What do you dislike about Daylite?** 1st........Reporting...it is not User-Friendly to create Printable Reports from all the different Fields for Contacts, Tasks, Forms, etc. 2nd......DL only allows 12 Custom Fields for the Person (Contact). That needs to be increased. 3rd......When viewing "People" have the ability to add Color to a Section or Keyword....so when you first land on the Person that info jumps out. **What problems is Daylite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Seamlessly keeps you organized and on top of your Tasks, and allows for quick Delegation to another User. ### 50.
