I like that CoConstruct is online. It's helpful at it allows project management to program efficiently. Communication with customers without being on-site, selections is product, choices in paint color, when a sub contractor is going to be on site. There a bit of a learning curve to it. There is training which is seeding. But there is multiple ways to do the same things, not not always shown in a report if not done the particular way it needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

CoConstruct is a very useful tool. The software is very thoughtfully designed. The Budgets, Purchase Orders and Change Orders are all relatively smooth and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Unfortunately, once you start using CoConstruct, you are essentially locked in, as it is hard to export data. Our small business used CoConstruct with no complaints until last year, when they jacked up our rates exponentially (by about $5,000). We were blindsided by the outrageous increase in price. Because of how software-centric CoConstruct is, it is not easy to take your data and go to another company. You are pretty much stuck with them if you aren't willing to walk away from your project data. I would avoid CoConstruct entirely unless you are in a position to walk away from your project data. Having the ability to bring all project elements into one place: so estimating, build plans, communicating with sub-contractors and capturing all relevant documentation. The estimating tool is very clunky. It doesn't allow you to load all the various estimates received from subs into the system and choose which options to select and automatically update the budget. That is challenging when considering different approaches to roofing, siding, kitchens etc. Estimating is positioned as one of its primary differentiators and it wasn't very flexible in aligning of how you might cost out a project. Making the estimate in CoConstruct and having that tie into the specs and determinations segment keeps all the data in a single place, in an exceptionally sorted out way. The clients can see precisely what we intend to build and the materials we will use, reducing the chance of last-minute surprises for both us and the client. We can easily show clients ways to save and provide them with options for upgrades. The scheduling being global, our suppliers and contractors are enjoying the access the estimating and specification integration is too a great piece of equipment which the workers use. It can take a long time to set up a project - specifically a list of mostly unrelated items. I estimate a lot of home inspection reports so it's hard to create a template that I can import for each job. The client view of some stuff is a bit less straightforward than I'd like. When I work out the cost lines for each item, I'd like to be able to show the description of each cost line to the client. It's also tough to go through the list of things to be completed while you're on-site since they're grouped into larger categories instead of a single list showing all the items. However, you can add anything you want to the schedule and track its progress through the calendar. It'd be great if I could import the specs and determinations items into the schedule.
