"Easy and Always Advancing"

What do you like best?

I like how organized the invoice side of Chrome River is. All the information is neat, clean, and easy to navigate through. I was new to Chrome River when I got to my current company and everything was very easy to learn. All invoices come to me for final approval and Chrome River makes it easy to see the information all in one place.

What do you dislike?

Other than a few bugs I have run into (probably because we are still on the Platinum user interface) I wish you could sort invoices by due date. In the Invoice Management module you can sort by almost every category. If I could sort invoices by due date I would be able to manage the outstanding invoices a little better.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Take advantage of training Chrome River has available and use the help desk often as you need to.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Keeping everything in one place. Being able to search in Invoice Management by all the different filters makes finding a specific invoice very easy. I don't have to spend too much time researching.

"Paperless approvals!"

What do you like best?

Automated approval routing and paperless

What do you dislike?

Service desk tends to be slow. What used to take 1 week or less now takes 2 to 3 weeks minimum.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Chrome River is a rapidly growing company. They are very responsive when they get the same feedback from multiple customers. However, they are slow on a day to day basis when we need our routing rules modified. It takes 2-3 weeks to make a change, where it used to only take about one week or less.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Paper invoices used to get lost or held up on someone's desk. Now the secretary or staff person scans the invoice into Chrome River. Approvals are easy via e-mail. And our vendors are paid more timely!

Also, we were able to reduce our accounting staff by not replacing those departing the firm shortly after implementing Chrome River's Invoice product. We were able to move to a more decentralized approach where everyone in the firm that receives vendor invoices is ultimately responsible for getting them entered into Chrome River. Because Chrome River is so easy to use, that was not a difficult undertaking in the last.

"Invoice Automation made easy"

What do you like best?

Now that we receive paperless invoices we are able to monitor the approval process and provide prompt payment to our vendors. All of our approvers outside of our accounting department are able to approve everything they need through their email. This has saved so much time and allows users to approve from anywhere and on multiple devides.

What do you dislike?

The OCR technology is constantly improving but still misreads invoices from time to time making more work for accounts payable before the invoice can be sent for approval.

This product is great and Chrome River is constantly upgrading the functionality.

As a law firm many of our attorneys or paralegals would receive invoices from various vendors which would sit on their desks for months at a time. Using the automated invoice has allowed our company to monitor invoices better but also have a realistic value on pending invoices.

"Excellent Invoice Product for Law Firms"

What do you like best?

Paperless system; robust configurable routing and compliance rules engine; intuitive interface; full visibility into invoice statuses; scalable with existing staff, (as the firm grows there is less of a need to hire more staff); access to a fully functioning QA testing environment, making it easy to test how items may route or how exports are affected by GL mapping changes before making the changes in the production environment; self-service for most Admin level functions without needing to get support involved; analytics tool is powerful and the support is good (however see dislikes as well).

What do you dislike?

On the Admin side getting updates to or creating new rules for routing or compliance can sometimes take longer than expected. The Analytics system is often slow and can be frustrating when building Ad Hoc reports, standard reports are useful by the interface can be confusing and there is currently no way to save settings for standard reports that are used frequently, requiring you to re-do the set up each time.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Be sure to do your due diligence and check all options and don't be afraid to ask questions up front. Our experience showed a very competent team willing to go over items multiple times if needed.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Eliminated the need for paper and manual routing of requests; ensured proper backup is included before final approval is made; increased visibility of invoice status to end users; reporting that allows for better visibility of spend in different areas.

"Everything you need at your fingertips "

What do you like best?

Having the ability to run your Accounts Payable Process Remotely and designing a workflow that best suits your business has been a tremendous help to our organization. Annual Audits are now fully paperless thanks to Chrome River's Invoice Platform. Month End closes are much quicker now, due to less Journal Entries. The other thing that makes this software great is having the ability to make changes and setting up rules that will make your process run smoother and quicker.

What do you dislike?

I would like to see more enhancements in the Chrome River Invoice Reporting. Sometimes the OCR Function has been issue with extracting the correct data on the Invoice

"Outstanding system, would recommend to any type of business, big or small."

What do you like best?

The best thing about chrome river invoicing is the fact that there is NO room for double payments to vendors. Chrome river alerts the creator of this information. Additionally, chrome river automatically sets up your approval process so there are no more late payments.

What do you dislike?

I have not found a down side as of yet for our business.

I don't know what your waiting for. Chrome river is an amazing software. It helps to keep your business a float and your employees posted on their performance.

Chrome river has allowed us here at the NET to ensure we are not double paying vendors, that we are paying vendors within our NET 30 days and it allows all of the VP's here to see what spending is going on with their daily operations.

"Chrome River Invoice"

What do you like best?

I like the fact that you can easily see the movement of the invoice flow and that you can move the invoice for approval electronically while maintaining compliance with corporate policy. This has the ability for us to turnaround invoices in a much quicker fashion than the current practice allows. There is a common feel between Chrome River Expense and Chrome River Invoice which is an added benefit for users.

What do you dislike?

At this time there are not any dislikes with the system that I can comment on for this review.

Ask for a demo to see the potential benefits to your current invoice process. Good people to work with!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Greater awareness of the invoice status and compliance with policy. It gives greater ability for AP to spend time on other projects instead of tracking down paper invoices. Invoices do not have to be interofficed for approval and can now be approved via email if the user desires. Chrome River is able to integrate with our ERP system making the flow of information easy.

"Easy to use"

What do you like best?

Chrome River Invoice is very easy to use, the gui is navigation friendly, and they have Capture that will fill in details for you.

What do you dislike?

What i disliked about Chrome River Invoice is the routing rule spreadsheet that controls all the back end rules. It's too confusing, spreadsheet is enormous, and hard to understand.

make sure all departments agree on the approval structure approach. keep it simple

What do you like best?

The system instills accountability of approvals and tracking of invoices in the system

What do you dislike?

The system can be a bit rigid in that in can only handle certain types of requests. However, the CR team is helping us to build out the system to be able to handle new vendors, helpful hints for users, short key strokes for allocating invoices and other features to make it more user friendly.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Make sure you do your due diligence when considering this product. We were told we'd have to do an extensive system build out which would cost several thousand dollars in addition to the CR invoices just to get our accounting system (MS dynamics) to speak with the CR software.

Currently we have an AP inbox that is voluminous where invoices and approvals can get lost.

"Better overall control of invoice processing and backup management "

What do you like best?

Chrome River has given us the ability to provide direct backup needs for billing to all staff; manages duplicates on the front end and provides payment data to staff when needed.

What do you dislike?

There is currently nothing I really dislike re Chrome Invoice.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It's the perfect workflow to help manage all your Firm and Client-Related invoicing. Very transparent.

Time savings for the AP staff and also better access to data for the overall staff.

"Great Experience as a First Time Chrome River User"

What do you like best?

This product is simple to use, and it has saved us an incredible amount of time and effort.

What do you dislike?

Could use better training at first, but once you get going it's fairly intuitive anyway.

What do you like best?

One stop process for invoicing. Streamlines the whole system and that translates to saved time and money.

What do you dislike?

App can be buggy, once in a while a picture will fail to upload. Despite that it is a huge improvement compared to the prior system

Initial expenditures will yield great savings in the future. This pays for itself.

Identifying costs that can be consolidated or eliminated. Increased audits of invoices have reduced costs significantly.

"CR Invoicing"

What do you like best?

Although we do not utilize the entire invoicing platform, we do use a portion to direct pay vendor in relation to travel.

What do you dislike?

Still having a few issues with functionality in relation to student travel.

"Nice expense reimbursement tool"

What do you like best?

user friendly, I like OCR technology since it makes easier to prepare an expense report.

Sometimes, scanned copy of receipt is cut off to two separate pages

"Chrome River works very well"

What do you like best?

I enjoyed working in Chrome River for 4 years. In my previous positions, it was always paper, never electronically. I liked being able to enter the invoices electronically and be able to see all of my history.

What do you dislike?

The one major thing that I disliked about Chrome River was that if you had someone else enter one of your invoices, you couldn't get that history anywhere. You have to have the system administrators provide you with that information.

"Chrome River invoice is paperless and user friendly!"

What do you like best?

I love that Chrome River is paperless! I no longer have files filled with invoice copies and approval emails. It's so fast to scan your invoice and able to track your invoice through the approval process.

What do you dislike?

I'm finding that the helpdesk does not have a quick turnaround with some situations we are finding.

PAPERLESS!!!

Able to see all approvals for any invoice and being reassured that the invoice was approved.

Chrome River INVOICE provides faster and more direct submission, increased security through workflow, and enhanced expense approval communication.

What do you dislike?

Chrome River INVOICE is limited in customization.

Benefits to Chrome River INVOICE are increased security as access to information now requires login credentials and submission timeframes have been decreased on average by a couple of days.
