Easily configurable allows you to evoke your policy rules to help ensure Invoices are submitted correctly the first time. Error-free submission of Invoices helps companies avoid costly back and forth between submitters, approvers and or compliance officers. With electronic routing, there is no paper being sent from office to office either by inter-office mail, companies save money on printing processes (paper, copier supplies). Additional savings can be achieved when your staff no longer have to leave their office to walk paperwork from office to office to obtain wet signatures. It's not intuitive to know how to track invoices in the system. Emburse Chrome River shows us how to follow our invoices but not invoices submitted by others. There is too much white space on the form. Emburse Chrome River helped us become more efficient with electronic routings, eliminating the need for multiple copies. Lost paperwork is now a thing of the past because invoices route electronically, returns (disapprovals) are managed in the system no need to send the "paper" back to the creator to fix, re-print, and send via inter-office mail. ### 14. I was hoping it would be helpful for processing invoices and quickly went back to more manual processing rather than using the scanning feature (where Chrome River "reads" the invoices and sets up the invoice without much user input. This has been disappointing. I think that it's also unfortunate that Chrome River doesn't "remember" much for invoices. I am often processing the same kind of invoice, or even a variation on an invoice for the same client, repeatedly - every other month for some clients. It's still pretty straightforward, but every step saved is helpful. This is a detractor as well for a pretty well functioning program. It saves us time, paperwork, and resources in the form of personnel hours spent processing them. **What do you dislike about Emburse Invoice Enterprise?** From an end-user standpoint, the main thing we have encountered is regarding the return feature. When we try to return an item, the recipient is often unable to make edits with the same ease they can with the Expense module. As an admin, my biggest dislike is not having the capability or access to proxy in as other users to see all of the same things they can for Invoice, including drafts, submitted, and approvals. It makes it more challenging to assist users with problems when I can't quickly proxy in to see everything the same as them. Expense permits more accessibility for that than Invoice does. Though we still can't see approvals regardless of if they are expenses, invoices, or pre-approvals. **What problems is Emburse Invoice Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?** This program helps to streamline our Invoice approval process quite a bit. It allows users to approve invoices via e-mail even when not near their computers. It also helps with coding charges allocated to a GL, removing most guesswork for parties outside the Accounting department who are not as familiar with the accounts. The integration between Chrome River and our main financial software is a significant timesaver. The work hours spent scanning backup documents alone were extensive before our Firm implemented the Invoice module. ### 19. We upgraded to Mercury within the last year, and our PM Julie was a joy to work with. Also love the e-invoice feature for invoices with many lines to allocate. Capture is also new for us - with this service, our vendors can e-mail their invoices to our dedicated Chrome River Capture e-mail address where the invoices are automatically uploaded and OCR'd (and reviewed by a "human") which minimizes our data entry. **What do you dislike about Emburse Invoice Enterprise?** Service desk tends to be slow. What used to take 1 week or less now takes 2 to 3 weeks minimum. OCR still needs a lot of improvement. I am getting a bit impatient because of how long it is taking for Emburse to improve OCR. Additionally, customers are encouraged to pay for service that used to be standard with their subscription. **Recommendations to others considering Emburse Invoice Enterprise:** Chrome River is a rapidly growing company. They are very responsive when they get the same feedback from multiple customers. However, they are slow on a day to day basis when we need our routing rules modified. It takes 2-3 weeks to make a change, where it used to only take about one week or less. **What problems is Emburse Invoice Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?** Paper invoices used to get lost or held up on someone's desk. Now the secretary or staff person scans the invoice into Chrome River (or better yet - the vendor e-mails the invoice and the invoice is "dragged and dropped" into Chrome River). Approvals are easy via e-mail. And our vendors are paid more timely! Chrome River also offers an OCR feature where elements from the invoice are optically extracted, which cuts down on data entry significantly. Also, we were able to reduce our accounting staff by not replacing those departing the firm shortly after implementing Chrome River's Invoice product. We were able to move to a more decentralized approach where everyone in the firm that receives vendor invoices is ultimately responsible for getting them entered into Chrome River. Because Chrome River is so easy to use, that was not a difficult undertaking in the last. ### 22. Things are easy to find, and the design is intuitive. It makes submitting expenses and invoices less of a chore, much easier than filling out a manual form (like in the "old days"), and creates a seamless workflow that helps everyone get the job done. I also love the Receipt Gallery, which makes it super simple to add receipts to an expense report, however, there is an issue with uploading receipts into the Receipt Gallery, which is discussed in the next section. **What do you dislike about Emburse Invoice Enterprise?** When uploading pdfs to my Receipt Gallery, the program splits the invoices in half and creates 2 documents from one file. I'm hoping this issue can be fixed in future updates so that I don't have to go back and upload each receipt one-by-one into the expense report, which seems to work without splitting the file in half. However, the added benefit of using the Receipt Gallery is diminished because I'm unable to quickly add my receipts to the report. **What problems is Emburse Invoice Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?** This program helps us streamline processes and get invoices and expenses through the approvals processes quickly. ### 38.
