**What do you like best about Canvass - Asynchronous Video Interviewing?**

Everything is incredibly straightforward with Canvass. I've used video interviewing tools for years and expected to receive hundreds of emails from candidates with technical issues around the application window deadline, but was so surprised to see none and all of our candidates' completed interviews! The set up is incredibly easy, Levi kindly took the time to talk me through the platform but it's so simple that you could easily figure it out on your own. The customisable email options are great and it's been wonderful to be able to send automated reminder emails easily.

**What do you dislike about Canvass - Asynchronous Video Interviewing?**

There's nothing to dislike, everything is really easy and does exactly what we need it to do.

**What problems is Canvass - Asynchronous Video Interviewing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canvass allows us to interview candidates on a timeframe that works for us. The system makes it easy to review multiple applications in one black of time. The issue I'd had with other platforms were various technical access troubles that candidates were experiencing. Canvass does not face these same issues and the experience is seamless.

We love using the pay as you go option. All other software options are expensive and they want to delete your account if you stop subscriptions. with Canvass, its a really well priced option

Its probably not as feature rich as other platforms in this space, but the main features are all there and it works perfectly every time. I would not use additional features anyways, so its not reallly that bad that they dont have 1000's of extra features.

Its an easy to use asynchronous video interviewing platform. We do all our first round interviews on Canvass and watch it later. It saves a ton of time to not waste time bad candidates that could be filtered out through an asyn interview.

**What do you like best about Canvass - Asynchronous Video Interviewing?**

From the beginning, canvass has been an intuitive easy to use tool for our recruiting team.  There is no over cumbersome setup, large system fees, or complicated user interface. We were set up and using the tool within 24 hours. They’ve built a product that solves a very specific need in the recruiting process without forcing additional products or steps into your process. It integrates perfectly with our greenhouse recruiting system and seamlessly became part of our process. The support team is very responsive and solution oriented. There is a tremendous amount of passion for what they do and they want to ensure every user has an ideal experience. It’s refreshing to work with a company that truly cares about the success of their clients and the experience they have.

**What do you dislike about Canvass - Asynchronous Video Interviewing?**

The support team is very responsive, but it may be helpful to purchase new credits directly in the system without emailing support.

**What problems is Canvass - Asynchronous Video Interviewing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many recruiting decisions are made based solely on a résumé. This product allows for a more holistic view of the candidate. It has also been super easy for candidates to use and allows them to share more about themselves.

**What do you like best about Canvass - Asynchronous Video Interviewing?**

Canvass is super-lightweight and easy to use. If you can use Google Docs, you can use Canvass. It's also a fraction of the price of other systems like this. We started off thinking credits would be the way to go but ended up changing over to unlimited... then we were able to cancel after just a couple of months, no long-term commitment. 
Async video interviews have helped us scale by focusing our attention only on candidates who are actively engaged with our hiring process, rather than chasing after people who aren't interested. 
Levi at Canvass was very helpful for us during setup and throughout collecting interviews. 
Easy Greenhouse integration is also a plus.

**What do you dislike about Canvass - Asynchronous Video Interviewing?**

The help center is focused on integrations, and all FAQs are handled via email support. It would be nice to see a couple of FAQs answered.

**What problems is Canvass - Asynchronous Video Interviewing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When hiring for a remote phone-based customer support role, we receive a LOT of applications, many of which have relevant experience. However, a resume can't talk! Video interviews provide us with a way to narrow our attention on engaged applicants and understand their skills in oral communication without having to put either party through the hassles of scheduling a live, synchronous interview. 
Canvass is also affordable and didn't lock us in to any specific time commitments.

**What do you like best about Canvass - Asynchronous Video Interviewing?**

Canvass turns a 30 minute traditional phone interview with a recruiter into a 10 minute process. It also gives us more valuable insight into if candidates are able to navigate technical prompts like logging in and recording a video. We also require candidates to have a secure and quiet place to work due to HIPAA and this gave us insight into that as well. Anytime we had issues the customer support team was able to quality resolve the issues we were having.

We had not infrequest issues with tech and candidates audio not being heard on the recordings but this could also be user error vs it being on Canvass's side.

It cut down on tradition interviewing time
It allows for triple or more the amount of interviews a recruiter could normally handle 
We can see if candidates can operate tech easily to open and record themselves 
We could see if candidates had a secure working space

The Canvass team is extremely responsive to feedback and often implements relevant use cases quickly. The platform itself is simple to use, reasonably priced, and promotes efficient communication and scheduling across recruiters, candidates, and hiring managers.

When adding scripted questions into Canvass, there is a short text limit that sometimes causes my questions to be cut off after copying them into the platform.

Canvass improves time management efficiency by freeing up time for me, my recruiting team, and our hiring managers. It allows candidates to complete interviews at their convenience, which may improve their overall experience. It also provides hiring managers with better insights into candidates before deciding who to bring in for full interviews with the project management team.

We switched from a different provider to canvass primarily due to cost reasons, but since using them, we have realised there are multiple other benefits. The platform is simple and easy to use, it has flexible functionality options that allows us to create bespoke processes for each role. It is also very cost effective.

It doesn’t sync with our new HRIS platform.

Canvass is great for a budget conscious organization that also has high demanding needs during peak months. We adapted it this year and it's been so helpful in cutting down unnecessary interviews with candidates that were not a match from the start!

It is quite basic, but for the cost you cannot complain that much.

**What do you like best about Canvass - Asynchronous Video Interviewing?**

As a new business with a sizable amount of employees to hire, we were looking for a video component that integrated into our robust ATS. After hoards of investigation and demonstrations, we found Canvass best met our needs. I am a novice ATS administrator and we were looking for a way to video record candidate responses to several prompts. Canvass’ usability, intuitive layout, and outstanding customer service all are worth noting. We have been blown away by their responsiveness to our questions and attentiveness to needs. We highly recommend Canvass, two thumbs raised way up high.

All of our concerns/questions have adequatly been addressed by customer service.
