I like how organized everything is and how the UI looks. It feels built with purpose: it opens straight to the timesheets and only shows me what I need there. If I need to do other things for a project, I can easily find where they are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I sometimes find it hard to locate a specific project I need to log time for in the timesheets. This mainly happens when there are already a lot of projects listed, because I have to read through each one to find the right one. It would be much easier if there were a filter or search option. Since our Quickbooks is on a cloud-server, we have to constantly have one of our Quickbooks' admin accounts running in order to enable the BigTime Sync Agent to successfully sync. We also noticed that sometimes project description names in BigTime will not stay the way they were entered (ie, it's named as "ABC123" in Quickbooks, but when it syncs over to BigTime, the entry won't have the full project name, forcing us to rename the projects each time. BigTime lets me access everything from a browser or the mobile app, with no VPN or software to install. I also like having timesheet and budget information in the same view, so I don't need to jump between tools to check project status, and being able to bill time down to individual tasks and subtasks gives us much more granular tracking than just billing at the project level. The time entry flow (hours, task selection, description) has to be filled out in a specific order — if you go out of sequence, it can silently fail to save without any warning. Our labor codes are also two-tiered (a general category with individual names underneath), but the app doesn't show which top-level category a code belongs to until after you've already selected it, which makes finding the right one more cumbersome than it should be. In the week view, it is very bothersome to have the project’s day columns misaligned from the header row’s date columns. These should align. If this alignment issue didn’t exist, I would bump my rating of BigTime up. When I have a long list of projects (sometimes I will have 20-25 lines of different projects) that I haven’t entered time for, it is a real pain in the butt to have to count in the columns to make sure I am entering my time on the right day.

I have two suggestions – one would be to off-colour every second column, OR the other suggestion would be to fix the misalignment.

My other gripe: I don’t like having to navigate my browser windows and tabs for my time tracking. (I know… third world problems. And it is definitely a me issue.)

A small desktop widget would be perfect. One that I can tuck into the corner of my screen, just above my clock or my windows search bar, and not have to search my internet browser and tabs for access:

• Something that floats that can be moved around and adjusted. (a concept similar to what I have in mind is like the mini players for Apple and Spotify)

• Can be minimized to a bar that shows the bigtime name/logo, or into a smaller time tracker/timer (similar to the timer in the daily view), and can be half-ways maximized to a ¼ to a ½ sized screen floating widget to enter task list/billing description

• Has a button to return you to the web browser page so I don’t have to search for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Update: Still rolling with the punches but dissatisfaction is growing. More and more the things we should be able to do are add ons or simply not possible at all with the software. While some of the help features have improved, I don’t think it is enough to justify using the software longterm. What's holding us back is migration and what that may look like. It appears that additional staff will be needed along with duplication of entries to ensure that nothing is lost. Frankly, do very deep research before you commit to the software. I like BigTime's layout, it is very organized and simple, allowing for customization with different job codes and labour types. I also like the day view, which shows the descriptions as well for a quick snapshot of the day, and the simplicity of the print layout, straight to the point without wasting ink on anything unnecessary. I dislike that there isn't a way, at least for employees, to filter out certain project hours during a specified period, to help track hours spent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As an end user, I have found the technology to be very easy to use and reliable. The platform is intuitive and straightforward to navigate with minimal training or troubleshooting. We rarely encounter technical issues, and when using the platform, the overall experience is consistently smooth and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As an end user, much of the platform’s functionality and control resides with the administrators. As a result, we sometimes have limited visibility into certain processes, such as the status of submissions or the addition of users to specific projects. Additionally, entering time or tasks can occasionally become tedious when an activity needs to be split across multiple entries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

BigTime makes it easy to track time, manage project budgets, and monitor project progress in one place. The interface is straightforward, and the reporting features help our team stay on top of project hours and deadlines. It has improved visibility into project performance and resource allocation. The user interface can sometimes feel dated, and certain reports require multiple steps to generate. Some customization options are limited, and the mobile experience could be improved to make time entry faster when working away from the office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how easy it is to report hours and expenses, even when I'm working on multiple projects at the same time.

Making changes after submitting a timesheet is also very convenient. Since everything is online, I can access my

timesheets whether I'm at work or at home. I also appreciate being able to review older timesheets whenever I

need to check previous entries, such as confirming whether I've already used my floating holiday. Overall, the
