**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

After about two years using BambooHR, the thing I'd give it credit for is being easy for employees to pick up. For basic things like finding people data or navigating the org chart, it didn't require much hand-holding. Onboarding was manageable and the interface wasn't overwhelming — for a team that isn't particularly tech-savvy, that accessibility matters.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The main frustration was onboarding customization — or the lack of it. The process felt quite rigid, and we couldn't tailor it to reflect how we actually work or what different roles needed. It wasn't a dealbreaker on its own, but over time it became clear we needed something with more flexibility. BambooHR was fine for what it was, we just reached the point where 'fine' wasn't enough.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved the basics well — centralized people data, got onboarding out of spreadsheets, gave us a foundation. But in hindsight it was a stepping stone. It did its job for the stage we were at, and when we outgrew it the decision to switch felt natural rather than urgent. No bad experience, just a platform we moved past.

I use BambooHR as a better way to keep up to date with my work at the company. I love that it offers easy access to work information, training programs, and paystubs. Sharing information with my coworkers is very easy, which I really appreciate. What I like most about BambooHR is that it is very easy to use and find important information on it. It helps me independently request PTO and check my performance at work, showing me where I need improvement. The initial setup was pretty easy as well.

I love how intuitive the BambooHR platform is. Even if you haven't used it before, it's easy to understand where everything is. It helps me quickly know if I have logged my time, which is very important due to Spanish law. I also like being able to see at a glance which colleagues will be out of the office, allowing me to organize my work if I depend on them. Additionally, the initial setup was very simple and I had no problems.

I think the platform could be faster. I would also like the aesthetics to be updated, as sometimes it feels outdated or old-fashioned.

What I like most about BambooHR is how easy it is to use. Time-off requests, employee information, documents, and other HR tasks are organized in one place, which saves time and keeps everything straightforward.

Some features and settings take a few extra clicks to find, and the navigation is not always intuitive at first. A clearer menu structure, more customization options, and Outlook Calendar integration for vacation and time-off requests would improve the overall experience.

BambooHR makes it easy to maintain and keep our employee data up to date. Its integration with Okta SSO streamlines access across our various platforms, and we can send required onboarding documents and store them securely within each employee's profile. The intuitive UI makes every task simple to complete.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Nothing really comes to mind. BambooHR works very well for all of my use cases, and I haven’t run into any issues worth calling out.

I’m my company’s Security and Compliance Manager, so BambooHR is where I go to access most of our employee data for compliance audits, such as HITRUST and SOC 2 Type 2.

In some parts, it is difficult to understand how the feature fully works. For example, how holidays roll over. In the system it deducts the days for the full holiday on the day that it begins, which matters at the end of the year

Bamboo makes it simple for me and my company to have a centralised platform that stores all required HR information. I especially like that it stores all the contracts, and the holiday booking system is very intuative.

I like the security the most, especially the two-step verification, which helps me feel confident that my personal information is protected. I also appreciate the ease of navigating around its features, which makes the system valuable because I can quickly find what I need without wasting time. The app version is useful too, as it gives me access to BambooHR even when I'm away from my PC. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy.

There are a few times when I'm logged out, and the two-step verification text doesn't come to my phone, forcing me to ask HR to reset my account. Also, it would be helpful to receive notifications from the app on my phone instead of needing to go on BambooHR to know what's happening.

I like that BambooHR keeps track of everything very easily, and I can get back into it whenever I need. It's the best part about it. The leave balances feature is helpful as it shows me the specific balances of what leave I have left, and I really appreciate being able to access my payslips from any time. The initial setup was pretty easy, actually, I found it real easy.

Signing in seems a bit slower sometimes. The verification can be a little bit slower than other things. Maybe there's a quicker way to verify yourself rather than text messages and things like that.

I like being able to see who on my team is out on PTO. I also appreciate how easy it is to submit PTO requests. Finally, it’s helpful to be able to view important messages from management in one place.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I don’t like how the available PTO hours are calculated. It’s really confusing, and it feels like I have to manually figure out how many hours I actually have available. As a parent, I schedule my PTO ahead of time, but those future requests don’t seem to be reflected in the available PTO hours I can use.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem it solves is letting us see how many people are actually out on PTO, so we know whether they can be contacted during the day or not. It also keeps all of our employee resources in one place, which makes it easier to find what we need.

I like how the BambooHR app makes it simple and easy to request time off, with clear instructions on the main page. I can see all my details like holidays left, sick days, compassionate leave, and more, all in one place without having to email my manager. It's very clear and transparent. I appreciate the training courses accessible through the BambooHR app, which I've used to complete a couple of training courses. The app allows me to see my personal details, job information, emergency contacts, documents, and location conveniently. I also noticed that onboarding information and other tasks are laid out clearly, which is very handy for managing my requests.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I'm just not sure if I can suggest some new volunteer days or if there are any options available for that.

I think the 1:1s feature can be made a bit better - when my manager and I upload tasks to the list, we can't see who added what and so sometimes there's some confusion in that end in case we've added something before and can't remember.

I love that as a manager, I can approve hours directly from email without always logging in. It's pretty simple to request time off and track professional goals using BambooHR. I also find it great and pretty unique that I don't have to have a lot of tabs open or constantly log into things, as the approval process can be managed from my email client. Additionally, doing the basic tasks is pretty quick.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I think the UX design is a little confusing. I constantly have trouble figuring out where to go, and sometimes when I press a button it directs me to the correct button to press instead of just going to the place I obviously want to go. An example is when I click on the request time off button, it does a pop-up showing me that I can do that from the home page... which I am already on. That's confusing.

I use BambooHR for requesting time off and tracking professional goals. It makes these tasks pretty simple. As a manager, I love approving hours directly from email without logging in, which saves me from having too many tabs open.

It's convenient and expeditious, streamlining the process by having everything in an easy-to-navigate list. I particularly like how the self-serving UI eliminates the need for constant email exchanges with HR, as it saves me from printing, filling, and scanning documents. BambooHR even saves my place in a document if I need to pause, which is a real timesaver.

Some of the fillable sections limited the amount of text, so I wasn't able to print my entire name or job title. The password kept expiring before I would even get around to using it.

What stands out most about BambooHR is how simple and clean it is to use compared to a lot of traditional HR systems.
The interface is intuitive, so things like tracking employee information, managing time off, and onboarding new hires don’t feel complicated or time-consuming. It’s easy for both HR teams and employees to navigate without much training.
Another big plus is that it centralizes everything—employee records, performance tracking, and documents are all in one place, which cuts down on manual work and scattered systems. The self-service features are also strong, letting employees update their own info or request time off without needing HR to step in.
Simply put. I love the simplicity of storing everything on one platform. Everything HR-related lives in one place, and it’s easy to use

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Its a bit pricier - we have a smaller company. A
s you add features (like performance management or advanced tools), pricing can climb quickly, which may not feel worth it for smaller teams.

Before tools like BambooHR, HR teams had to juggle spreadsheets, emails, and paperwork for everyday tasks such as time-off requests, onboarding, and maintaining employee records. BambooHR streamlines and automates these processes—handling time-off requests, document signing, pay information, and personal details—so employees can update their own information themselves. I like that BambooHR is the portal my company uses for scheduling PTO and listing all employees. I find the process to request PTO very straightforward, which allows me to easily request how many days and which specific days I want off. It conveniently informs me how many sick hours I have left and sends a notification to my manager without needing to contact them separately. The user interface is easy to navigate, and I also appreciated that the initial setup was easy, as my company had it ready on my first day of employment.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I think you should be able to search a filter when you are using the employee directory, rather than navigating to find a specific check box. When you press the filter option in the employee directory, add a search bar option.

BambooHR makes it easy to find employees and their contact info. Requesting PTO is straightforward, notifying my manager automatically, which saves me from separate contact. The user interface is easy to navigate.

I like BambooHR for its convenience in helping me communicate with my employer. I can handle my training, documents, and issues that I need HR for. It's helpful for when my employer needs a document, updated ID, or if there are issues with my pay, as I can do it or look it up anytime.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I sometimes wish it could be easier to use. It's hard to get to what I'm looking for sometimes but once I do the directions are helpful. When I need to do some training and upload proof, it usually has a link that takes me somewhere else and those directions drive me in circles. I would prefer to do the trainings there without having to log in somewhere else through another link.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use BambooHR to communicate with my employer, manage training, access documents, and resolve HR issues. It's convenient for looking up necessary information anytime.

The web app is fairly intuitive, as is the mobile app. I personally value the PTO tracking and approval process because BambooHR makes the time-off request process easy for everyone involved and keeps everyone in the company informed when someone is out. Moreover, it makes it easy for our employees to see when someone is out and allows our remote workforce asynchronous payroll access, which is great for requesting time off or checking benefit information. We used to use Deltek Costpoint, and it was a pain compared to the simplicity and user-friendliness of BambooHR.

I wish that employees could bulk-update their time sheet. If a salaried employee just needs to put 'I've worked a full day (8-hours) every weekday under the same pay-code' they have to click into all 10 weekdays of the pay period and enter an 8 plus the pay code. If there were a way to edit all the affected days at once it would be nice, but it's not a big deal.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I like BambooHR because it has quite a few options that I didn't know in other tools and that are important for a company, such as the ease of searching for a person in the company to get to know them better. I also appreciate the search by skills or certifications that people have acquired, as well as the ease of making changes to the payroll and recording salary increases. The initial setup is extremely simple; a profile is preloaded and access is given to the personal account to upload documents, and then skills and education can be manually updated in the corporate account.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Perhaps the possibility of reviewing how a profile looks to others, so you could hide things you wish not to be seen.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use BambooHR to request vacations, manage annual performance reviews, and facilitate the internal publication of my studies and experience. It helps me avoid personal contact for permissions and evaluations, and allows searching for colleagues by skills or certifications.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

It’s very easy to use. In my current job I’m only an end user, but in my previous role I had admin access, and I can confidently say it’s straightforward from both sides. It’s also easy to customize to a company’s needs, whether you’re using it just for requesting time off or also to manage benefits, compensation, and more.

I can’t say much about pricing because it isn’t part of my job description. That said, since both places I’ve used it were smaller businesses, I assume it has to be reasonably priced and therefore worth every dollar. I’ve never had any performance issues; it runs smoothly, and onboarding was quick and easy both times. As for integrations and AI, I can’t speak to those directly because we don’t really use them.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I honestly have no issues with bamboo. I think it does exactly what it has set out to do. I think overall it is really well made.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being easily able to see not only how many days I have left to take off, but also able to have the calendar for everyone's days off is so helpful. Especially as a receptionist who answers phone calls all day. Also, having everyone's information in one place and having our yearly reviews easily accessible is wonderful.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I love that BambooHR is very user-friendly and allows me to see all of my colleagues' status, including their time off plans, who's in today, and whose birthday it is. This really helps in making us feel like a team. I also love that it makes requesting time off easier and more systemic, eliminating the need to go through an informal process. It's great to have an HR tool that consolidates everything in one place. I didn't set it up personally, but I've heard it was chosen because it's an easy option with out-of-the-box functions.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I mean, I would love more of, like, a customizability function. So, like, able to add some of our brand styling, like the color and logo, but being able to maybe add more images, maybe a little bit more customizable, maybe more fun. Like, I think if anywhere we can have fun, it would be something like this. So it would have been nice to have more of that.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love that BambooHR is user-friendly and lets me see colleagues' time off, birthdays, and milestones, making us feel like a team. It simplifies requesting time off with everything in one place.

I think it could include employee benefits, like subscription discounts for services like Netflix, Amazon, Uber, as well as catering, food, coffee, insurance, and gym memberships. That could all be in there.
