It really helps simplify day-to-day HR processes and keeps everything organised, which saves a lot of time and reduces stress.

One thing I dislike about BambooHR is that while it’s great for basic HR tasks, it can feel limited when you need more advanced features or customisation. For example, it doesn’t offer very strong analytics or built-in tools like a learning management system, which can be a drawback for growing or more complex organisations. Another downside is pricing and add-ons, costs can increase quickly, and pricing isn’t always transparent upfront.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR primarily solves the problem of disorganised, time-consuming HR processes. It brings all of that into one centralised platform and automates routine tasks, which helps reduce errors and saves time. For me, that translates into real benefits in day-to-day work. Instead of chasing paperwork or switching between tools, everything from employee records to leave requests is in one place and easy to access.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I found BambooHR really easy to use at a previous company, and I like features such as checking staff members' birthdays and having one place to see if someone's out for the day, like out on PTO. This is especially helpful because I often need to know who's working and who isn't to handle calls effectively. Setting up BambooHR was very easy, and it's helpful for tracking employees' PTO and pay stubs as the organization grows.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I wish I could see pending PTO requests that haven't been approved yet so I know who else on my team may be wanting time off at the same time I am.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find BambooHR helps employees keep track of their PTO and pay stubs. It's really easy to use and allows me to see staff birthdays and who's on leave, which assists in planning calls and setting up birthday celebrations.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

What I like best about BambooHR is its straightforward and user-friendly interface, which makes everyday HR tasks simple to manage. The org chart/tree view is especially helpful for quickly understanding team structure and reporting lines. I also find it very convenient to request leave and easily check annual leave balances in one place. Overall, it saves time and makes HR processes much more organized and accessible.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

One thing I dislike about BambooHR is that it can be hard to navigate to the Inbox, especially when trying to find sent requests. It would also be much better if it had a smoother integration with Slack for notifications and updates. In addition, BambooHR feels limited when it comes to tracking salary reviews, annual bonuses, and similar compensation-related processes. Improving these areas would make the platform much more complete and convenient.

What I like most about BambooHR is how simple and organized it makes HR work. I appreciate that all employee information is stored in one place, which makes it easier to find documents, track leave and keep records updated without relying on multiple spreadsheets or paper files. I also like the employee self-service features because staff can update their information and submit leave requests on their own, which saves time for HR. Overall, it helps streamline processes, improves organization, and makes day-to-day HR tasks more efficient.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

A drawback for me is that the payroll feature is limited to the U.S. The platform is not adaptable to other countries. It would be great that you would be able to use the payroll feature and customize taxes, social security etc. to fit the country.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem BambooHR solves for me is the inefficiency that comes with managing HR processes manually. BambooHR centralizes all employee data in one platform, which reduces errors and saves time because information only needs to be entered once and can be accessed easily when needed.

It also solves the problem of administrative overload in HR. Tasks like tracking leave, managing onboarding paperwork and updating employee records can take up a lot of time if done manually. With automation and employee self-service features, staff can update their own information and submit leave requests, which reduces the number of routine tasks HR has to handle directly.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

BambooHR is very user-friendly. The interface is clean, and both HR admins and employees can navigate it easily with little to no training. Features like employee self-service, time-off tracking, onboarding workflows, and document management are well designed and help reduce a lot of manual effort.

The onboarding experience is especially strong. It helps standardize processes and makes it less likely that anything falls through the cracks. Reporting is also solid for day-to-day needs, and the option to customize certain fields and workflows adds helpful flexibility.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

BambooHR starts to show its limitations when you get into more complex use cases. The reporting is solid, but it isn’t especially advanced if you need deeper analytics or highly customized reporting. The performance management and ATS features also feel somewhat basic compared to more specialized tools.

Integrations can be a bit limited depending on your tech stack, and if you’re trying to scale beyond a mid-sized team, you may end up needing additional tools or workarounds to cover everything you need.

I’d recommend BambooHR to small to mid-sized companies that want a reliable, easy-to-use HRIS that handles the essentials really well. That said, if your HR operations are highly complex or you need enterprise-grade analytics, you may eventually outgrow it.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

As an employee, I love how the dashboard shows my annual leave, so I can easily keep track of how many days off I have available. I also like that it lets me submit a leave request for my manager to approve. I don’t have to chase my leader to check the status or ask for approval, because Bamboo HR notifies the relevant stakeholders.

Our HR department has integrated courses on Udemy, so I can click the link directly and see which courses are available for me to complete. I can also see that many files are stored there, and I can find what I need quickly in one place without having to ask anyone else. When I need it, I feel I can trust Bamboo to handle the workload smoothly.

I was onboarded through Bamboo, and it gave me very clear instructions on what to do first and what to do next. That really impressed me and showed how professional the company is. When I uploaded the required files, everything worked reliably and was genuinely helpful.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I think AI chat box not really helpful at the moment because I prompted some simple prompts but it didnt respond. Most of the time is "I'm sorry, I couldn't find specific guidance on how to view other employees in BambooHR." or similar to this.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think BambooHR reduce a lot of manual time and meaningless conversation, I dont need to communicate to HR Dept a lot for tedious things. I can be active from my side and just know that BambooHR will handle the rest. It also reminds me days off that I booked which helps me a lot.

The ease of navigation and the intuitive UI makes the application stand out. The people directory is one of a kind where the org-chart view is so simple for navigation and is one of it's kind in the market

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The widgets on the home page sometimes do not have data. This can be refined further by not showing any widgets for the data which i do not have access to or else just show the error that the data view rights are not present to show a visual chart.

Team and leave management is very simple. The navigation and performance of the application is very smooth. BambooHR provides me a view of all my details such as leave, direct reports, payroll information, duration of service by integrating with various internal applications as its data source.

I like that is  very user friendly, the lay out is good. I like that it allows to store password. I like that as a school we can keep connected. I also like that the documents are under one folder and I can review them whenever I need.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Nothing in particular. If I were to add one suggestion, it would be to organize days off, sick days, and unpaid leave a little better. I should be able to view both the days I have scheduled off and the days I’ve already taken off by month. Currently, I don’t see it laid out or organized very well.

It keeps us under one umbrella, and I can communicate well with the administration.

Clean, minimal interface that doesn't overwhelm you with options. The automated workflows save a ton of time on repetitive HR tasks — things like onboarding checklists and time-off approvals basically run themselves once set up. It's one of those tools that stays out of your way and just works.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The reporting and analytics could be more flexible — building custom reports feels limited compared to what you'd expect, and you often end up exporting to a spreadsheet to get the view you actually need. The mobile app is also pretty bare-bones for anything beyond checking PTO.

BambooHR keeps everything consistent. I can track all employee information in one place, which makes it much easier to stay organized.

I honestly can’t think of any operational issues. Pricing, of course, is always something to consider. There have been times when budgets were tight, and unfortunately BambooHR was one of the first things we considered cutting.

Requests for time off! It makes it easy to keep track of who is off and when, how many hours they’re using, and other details like that. It’s also very helpful for our social media director when she’s creating our calendar, especially for birthdays and anniversaries.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

What I like best about BambooHR is how simple and user-friendly it is. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, so it’s quick to find employee information, complete onboarding tasks, update personal details, and request time off. I also appreciate the self-service features, because they let me take care of routine HR tasks without having to contact the HR team.

I also like how well BambooHR integrates with other business tools, which helps create a smoother HR experience by reducing duplicate work and keeping employee information synchronized across systems.

The onboarding process is another highlight. Digital forms, electronic signatures, task checklists, and automated reminders make joining a company much more organized and less stressful. Even for employees who are new to the platform, it's easy to understand what needs to be completed.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

As an employee, I don't have many complaints about BambooHR. The main limitation is that some features are easier to use on the desktop than on the mobile app. I also wish the employee dashboard were a bit more customizable and that the AI / Intelligence features offered more personalized assistance for everyday tasks. Overall, these are minor issues and haven't significantly affected my experience.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I like BambooHR's easy setup process. It took me about ten minutes to create my account and complete all necessary paperwork for my new job, which streamlined the process for me. Usually, it takes around thirty minutes to complete paperwork in person on the first day, so this saved more time for training on the job. I also appreciate having a single place to look at all documents and the ability to see and connect with my fellow team members, making connectivity and communication very easy.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

So far, I’ve liked everything about the service. The system is very easy to use, and the overall experience has been straightforward and hassle-free. Occasionally, the page loads slowly when I’m trying to clock in or out, but I think that’s likely due to my Wi‑Fi connectivity.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find BambooHR streamlines my onboarding process by centralizing documents and contact details, making connectivity easy. It significantly reduces setup time, allowing me to start job training sooner. Having access to all required paperwork in one place is a big relief.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

The timesheet view is the thing I actually open every day. I can see my weekly hours in one shot, which matters because I'm part time and I'm watching my total for benefits stuff. Clocking in from my phone takes about 5 seconds. Time off requests don't need follow up, I submit and it routes to my manager on its own. The interface is clean, nothing buried five menus deep. Sounds basic but most HR tools I've touched feel like filing taxes.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Honestly my main gripe is the home dashboard feels a little empty for what I actually need day to day. i want my hours this week front and center, not three clicks in. Holiday accrual rules and pay date stuff aren't surfaced anywhere I can find, so I end up asking HR questions that the tool could probably just show me. The mobile app is fine for clocking in but slower to load than it should be, maybe 4 or 5 seconds before I can tap anything. Would also be nice if the integrations panel was easier to find without hunting through settings.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before this I was tracking my hours in a notes app and hoping I remembered to write things down at the end of the day. As a part timer that's a real problem because my weekly total affects whether I hit the threshold for holiday pay, so being off by an hour matters. BambooHR took that whole mental load off of me.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

What I like best about BambooHR is that it brings core HR tasks into one simple, well-designed system. The UI/UX is intuitive and makes everyday actions like time-off requests, document access, goal tracking, and viewing organizational information quick and straightforward. It feels fast and reliable in daily use, with smooth performance and no noticeable friction.

From a user perspective, it also fits well into our broader workflow alongside other tools like Excel, and everything feels consistent rather than fragmented. I wasn’t involved in onboarding or setup, but it was very easy to start using without any training. I can’t comment on pricing or ROI directly, but it clearly adds value by reducing manual coordination and simplifying routine HR processes. I haven’t used any AI features, but the core functionality is strong and dependable.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Navigation and search could be improved, especially when trying to locate less frequently used documents or older information, as it sometimes takes more steps than necessary. Integration with commonly used tools like Microsoft Office and Excel could also be stronger, particularly since teams still rely on spreadsheets for certain tracking and reporting tasks. Improving this would help reduce duplication of work and make workflows more seamless.

It solves fragmented HR processes by centralizing time-off, documents, goals, and organizational data in one system. This saves time, reduces manual coordination, and makes it easier to quickly access the information I need in my day-to-day work.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

The time off request feature is super simple to use. I love the "job" tab that marks pertinent info like raise bumps for record keeping. The org chart is helpful, as well as knowing who is out of office. Quick document signatures, easily accessible newsletters in one location, job descriptions in one location, bday notices are a nice addition, as well as notices of new hires starting.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Maybe this is a feature request, but the "calculate balance" button in the time off request section I thought it would help calculate where your PTO is projected to be at by a certain date in the future at the current rate you have given the dates you already have locked in for time off to help you determine if you would have enough PTO by that date to cover a day off. Also, independent contractors are not listed in bamboo--I don't know if this is a company practice by not including them, but it would be helpful to know if they are still employed with us before I try to reach out to them.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clarification with org chart easily accessible on who to report certain issues about. Easily accessible time off information to refer to and easy to submit requests. E-signatures for company-wide documents needed like acknowledgment of policies yearly. And again, tracking of raises and job title changes is SO nice to keep for my records.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

Very user friendly and easy to use. Our implementation was pretty seamless and it's been easy to use ever since.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

It's not very advanced and there is limited ability to add tools or features that you need. You kind of just get what is there and then have to find a work around if a feature is not available. 

For instance, I mainly use the Applicant Tracking System. I wish there was a way to pull an open requisition report, but there isn't and I've submitted requests to have one created, but it hasn't happened so I have to manually create mine every month for leadership. 

I also wish there was some AI compatibility for the Applicant Tracking System to rank candidates, help with database searches, etc. Many of the other ATS systems on the market have this.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use the Applicant Tracking System. By far the best feature is that it is very user friendly, for both me and the candidate. It's hard to get candidates these days so if they have a complex application process or the system is not easy to use, they'll just give up and move on to another company. BambooHR is very simple and easy to use which helps a lot.

As an employee I am able to see my whole profile, any one from my colleagues have access to reach out to me if I am out of office, the UI is great, I can see my leaves balance clearly. the Integrations are refined and it runs without any lags

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I have not found any dislike yet about Bamboo HR but I  can surely give a feedback that it should have a unique portal where an employee can upload the resume of the reference for a job, so the HR team can support and helps in onboarding the new employees.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an employee, I can getting my all the details at one place. Is is beneficial so we don't need to reach out to HR of the company for every single problems.

I also appreciate being able to see all my benefits from one place. The initial setup of BambooHR was super easy and efficient. I like that the website has a lot of different tabs that are easy to access and performs well. I also enjoy that the website intergrates different celebrations for you to be able to stay reminded of things. The best of all this it is that it is free to use

I feel like a more vibrant look is needed.

As a developer, I mostly use BambooHR for my own stuff — PTO, profile updates, and finding people on the org chart — and it’s straightforward. Requesting time off takes a minute, I can see my balance before I submit, and I get notified when it’s approved, so I’m not pinging HR or checking email threads.

The employee directory is genuinely useful when you’re new or working across teams: you can see who owns what without digging through Slack or Confluence. Onboarding tasks were clear too — documents, policies, and setup steps in one place instead of a scattered inbox.

The UI is simple and loads quickly. I don’t need training to use it, which matters when HR tools are usually the last thing you want to think about. Self-service is the main win: small changes I can handle myself, and HR only gets involved when it actually needs a human.

As an employee, I don’t like that compensation information (salary, package, bonus) appears on regular screens without any extra protection. This is sensitive pay data, and I feel it should require a password or stricter access controls to view.

Sometimes I have issues with clocking out. The app will tell me I’ve clocked out, but then the next day, when I go to clock in, it shows that I didn’t clock out. Because of that, I often have to ask my supervisor to change my timesheet.

I also don’t like that the Bamboo app doesn’t let my company clock in and out easily, so we have to use the web browser on our phones and do it the long way. I’d really like the app to work for us, because it would save a lot of time.

Integrations: I’ve tried to link Bamboo to other interfaces, but it isn’t that easy, partly because of personal information. In practice, I mainly use it to connect to my Google Calendar so my team’s vacations appear there, which helps me manage my work each week.

Pricing/ROI: Honestly, I don’t know how much my organization pays for this tool.

Onboarding & Offboarding tasks appear to be organized for the admin view into different categories but for new hires or people leaving they are not in any categories and can only be found in their notifications. I wish they would improve this feature.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I really like the feature of suggesting goals that align with your job description, as sometimes it is quite difficult to identify things you'd want to achieve as goals with a company, especially if you are new. BambooHR has this thing of coming up with nicely broken down goals for you that makes a lot of sense. The initial setup was pretty easy and smooth, and I had an onboarder that made things very easy. Overall, it's a really good platform.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I dislike their mobile app functionality, it usually slags which is why I usually use the website

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR helps manage employee data by tracking progress and goals, and it effectively controls time off, managing various leave types. I particularly like how it suggests job-aligned goals, making it easier for new employees to identify achievable objectives.

I love using this to keep track of my vacation time, as well as the 1:1 notes from my manager.

Mmm, at the very beggining of the year i was having issues about my vacation time that i didn't like but i guess it was just rules from my employee

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think it helps solve my employees’ issues when it comes to keeping track of the status of each employee, and I think it’s great. It keeps them organized and makes it easier to stay on top of where everyone stands.

Easy for employees to use as many or as few features as needed. Employees can clock in and out easily and without confusion, sometimes that really is all that's needed.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

BambooHR has done a great job of helping us keep up with new hiring needs and employee management. 

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before BambooHR our personnel files were a mess! Keeping up with expiring documents for 100+ employees was a nightmare. BambooHR's customizable employee info and email alerts have made keeping up with documents and background checks incredibly user-friendly for admins, managers, and the employees themselves.

Access to available vacation/leave hours as well as 1:1 follow-ups allow for easy and quick tracking of my HR file. Access to the company's leave calendar also makes it easy to see who is absent in order to redistribute the workflow.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Honestly, nothing. Bamboo is a tool that is simple to understand/use and it allows for adequate performance tracking.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The distribution of certain HR documents during the onboarding of new employees, as well as the ability to schedule follow-up tasks, makes it easier to facilitate the integration of newcomers.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

It is very digestible and easy to follow along. You can identify the categories and locations you need to access with ease. It also highlights any to-do items (such as for onboarding) which is helpful. Having designed areas for performance and goals also helps push employees forward as opposed to just a place to look at your pto.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The least helpful thing about Bamboo is the Files section. It uses one main header, but the documents aren’t grouped into smaller subfolders, so having 35 files in the “401k” folder can make it hard to narrow down what I’m looking for. It would be helpful to have more AI support for organizing or searching, or other options that integrate with other platforms.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I use BambooHR mainly for two things: signing compensation packages and requesting time off — and it handles both really well.

The compensation package signing process is smooth and straightforward. Everything is clearly laid out, and I never have to chase down paperwork or wonder about the status of a document.

Requesting vacation is equally simple. Just a few clicks and my request is submitted. I can see my available balance and track approvals without having to email HR back and forth.

Overall, BambooHR makes these HR tasks feel effortless. It's intuitive, reliable, and saves a lot of time for both employees and HR teams. Highly recommended!

I dont use it that much for important tasks on my day to day

Visibility in terms of requesting vacations, being able to check the org chart, sign comp plans, etc

What I like best about BambooHR is its clean UI and ease of use. It’s simple to find people, access employee information, and manage HR tasks efficiently. 

The integrations, especially with Lever, help streamline workflows, and overall the platform performs reliably. The onboarding experience is also smooth, making it easy for teams to get started quickly.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

One thing I dislike about BambooHR is that some features feel a bit limited, especially when more customization or detailed reporting is needed. A few tasks still require manual work that could be more automated.

BambooHR helps keep employee information, onboarding, leave tracking, and HR processes organized in one place. It saves time, makes it easier to find information quickly, and helps the team manage day to day HR tasks more efficiently.
