As a service provider we rely on the AvePoint Confidence Platform to handle our backups and also our data governance for 365 environments. I find that the one location to manage all these things has proven to cut down on the number of screens we have to cycle through to get the information we need. We've also found that when working with the AvePoint team we have been able to expand our use cases for supporting customers. We've also found that when working on day-to-day activity, things like their Ava AI agent have helped in providing us troubleshooting steps or even recommendations on making the environment better. More recently we've been working on the integrations with our distributors, which have allowed for us to provide a single portal for customers to manage your 365 environment and license. If I have any complaint about the AvePoint Confidence Platform, it’s that there aren’t APIs available for everything the platform can do, especially if you want to handle certain tasks in a third-party solution or outside the platform. That’s probably my biggest gripe. Aside from that, I think they’ve done a really good job of making the platform intuitive and easy to follow. What I value most about AvePoint Confidence Platform is its dependable point‑in‑time snapshot function for our Microsoft 365 SharePoint and OneDrive files at Boston Heritage Dairy UG. Since we have no dedicated in‑house IT staff, all our farm supplier contracts, raw‑material procurement spreadsheets and wholesale‑partner price sheets rely on this tool for protection. Microsoft’s native recycle bin only holds content for a limited window and gets purged automatically, which used to keep me constantly worried about irreversible human‑caused data loss. Working with AvePoint Confidence Platform, several pain points create extra manual overhead and have created close‑call risks for our Boston‑based dairy operation. To start with, there is no option to add custom business tags to backup snapshots. Sometimes users and data show up even though the users dont need to be backed up etc. Some of the users that show up at times are shared accounts or generic ones that are not being used. There isn't anything specific about the platform or products that I go so far to say I "dislike". There are always limitations to how things can be configured. Whenever there is a feature limitation or missing option, the AvePoint team always notates our preferences.
