Aptean Food & Beverage ERP Reviews & Product Details

It streamlines all systems from the beginning of your business to end. An amazing system covering all aspects of your business. The system can do so many things all in one program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As of right now I can't think of one thing that I dislike about this ERP system. It is so large and massive in its capabilities that we have not even touched the surface of what it can do for our business yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It helps us with our day-to-day transactions. There’s still room for improvement to make the tool more efficient and easier to use. But so far, what we have has given us the option to complete our tasks well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Updates usually don’t tell us exactly which process, or which part of the process, will change or what those changes are until we run into an error while doing our work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Product costing is mostly strong and easily facilitated by frontline production users through a well-designed Shop Floor Production app. Business Central base is good to have and makes finding answers to questions easy. Quality checks are flexible enough to meet our needs and easy to configure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are some gaps in the system. Labeling presents a lot of issues that Aptean support has not been able to solve. Box scanning with catch weight does not work well, so we do not use it. The backend math on catch weight when shipping can be wrong, requiring manual overwriting. Trade Management is not flexible enough, being based entirely on items, so we have to supplement with complex spreadsheets. Shop floor user count doesn't impact product costing like it should. Shop floor failures do not impact product costing like they should. You lose WIP item traceability when packaging multiple lots over the course of a production run, impacting recall exposure significantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the planning workbook, it makes building a schedule easier for upcoming orders. It’s nice to be able to see what will be short and what has enough inventory on hand to run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike the inventory management. Our company has had issues with the accuracy of our inventory, and as it currently works, item journaling seems to be the easiest course of action. We tried using the mobile physical inventory but run into issues when finding items in a bin that did not previously exist. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like Aptean Food & Beverage ERP’s user-friendly interface and how it brings different business processes together in one platform. It improves efficiency, provides real-time insights, and helps simplify day-to-day operations. The integration capabilities also make it easier to maintain a smooth workflow across different systems. The initial setup was relatively smooth with the right guidance and support from the implementation team, and overall the process felt manageable and straightforward. I find the interface a bit complex for new users, and some features come with a learning curve. If performance were improved and there were more customization options, the overall experience would be even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Aptean Food & Beverage ERP is that it is built specifically for the food industry. It offers excellent traceability, inventory control, and compliance features while providing real-time visibility across operations. This helps improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and support better business decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The biggest challenges I have experienced are the time required to resolve issues, the lack of coordination between some Aptean products and teams, and the difficulty of aligning schedules with support resources due to global time zone differences. This can sometimes lead to delays in communication and issue resolution, particularly for time-sensitive business needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about Aptean Food & Beverage ERP is that it is designed specifically for the food and beverage industry rather than being a generic ERP. It combines inventory management, production planning, quality control, traceability, purchasing, and warehouse operations into a single system. This helps businesses reduce waste, ensure food safety compliance, and improve operational efficiency. I also like its integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI, which enables better reporting and decision-making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One area I think could be challenging is that Aptean Food & Beverage ERP has many specialized modules, so new users may need proper training before they can use it efficiently. Like any ERP implementation, customization and data migration can also take time. However, these are common challenges with enterprise ERP systems rather than weaknesses of Aptean itself. I like Aptean Food & Beverage ERP for its user-friendly interface and the ability to manage inventory, warehouse operations, and reporting from one platform. It provides real-time stock visibility, improves accuracy, and helps streamline daily operations, making it easier to maintain efficiency and reduce manual work. The straightforward initial setup with support from the implementation team and the well-organized onboarding process were beneficial. I also appreciate the strong inventory management, real-time visibility, and useful reporting features that Aptean Food & Beverage ERP offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One area that could be improved is the system's performance when handling large datasets, as some reports can take longer to load. I feel the interface could also be more customizable, with simpler navigation and dashboards. Additionally, I think better integration with third-party applications and more detailed reporting options would make daily operations even more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Aptean Food & Beverage ERP provides a comprehensive solution for managing production, inventory, quality control, procurement, and supply chain operations. The real-time visibility into business data helps improve decision-making and operational efficiency. I also appreciate its industry-specific features such as batch and lot traceability, recipe management, compliance support, and reporting dashboards. The system helps reduce manual work, improves process standardization, and integrates well across different business functions, making daily operations more organized and efficient. While Aptean Food & Beverage ERP offers strong functionality, the initial implementation and configuration can be time-consuming, especially for organizations with complex workflows. New users may experience a learning curve, and some advanced features require additional training to use effectively. The user interface could be more modern and intuitive, and certain reports or customizations may require technical support. Overall, these are manageable challenges, but improvements in usability and faster onboarding would enhance the overall user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that Aptean Food & Beverage ERP brings everything into one system, so I don't have to switch between multiple applications. The inventory and order management features are very useful, and the reporting capabilities make it easy to track business performance. I also like that it can be integrated with other systems, which makes automation and data exchange much smoother. Overall, it helps simplify day-to-day operations and improves efficiency. It mainly helps us avoid manual tracking and repetitive work, having everything in one place makes it easier to manage inventory, orders, and production while reducing errors. It also gives better visibility into operations and generates reports quickly, which saves a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find the user interface a bit outdated, and it can take some time for new users to get familiar with it. Some reports and dashboards could be more customizable, and certain processes require more clicks than necessary. Performance can also slow down when working with large datasets or generating complex reports. Improving the UI, reporting flexibility, and overall speed would make the experience much better.
