I like the search functionality of Aprimo, I think it's very detailed, and being able to customize that is very nice. I also really enjoy using the user groups in spaces to separate out who gets access to which assets in our database. I think the overall design of Aprimo is pretty straightforward, and I do enjoy the newer updates with utilizing AI more and the search capabilities, like remembering your last search and finding similar images related to the ones you're searching for.

I wish there were the ability to have folders within collections or more detailed organization of collection spaces because right now, if it's in a collection, it's just there and that's it. I'd like there to be different subsections within collections.

As a top-rated copywriter, keeping track of all my own and my clients' content is a huge task, and Aprimo simplifies this. I really like that Aprimo is one of the first marketing automation platforms, which makes the user base broad and their support very good. They also have a very strong engineering and product team. The platform is a centralized marketing hub and great for marketing asset approvals. I find the integration with other platforms like Salesforce CRM, SAP ERP, and Kodak Design2Launch particularly useful. Aprimo was a significant innovation for our Marketing department; it taught us a lot about setting up automated segmentation and interactions with our contacts along journeys. I think the platform's move to the cloud has also made setup easier, and the Aprimo consulting team is really helpful during configuration.

It can have some problems with large workflows getting stuck but this has improved over time with product development and moving to the cloud and User training. I can search by campaign code, color, file type, or even part of a file name from two years ago and it pulls the correct approved version every time. The workflow automation is simple but effective, we went from 8–10 emails per creative review to just a couple of clicks and automated reminders. Our regional teams love the self-service brand portal because they can grab localized assets without pinging me at weird hours. Integrates cleanly with Adobe Creative Cloud and Salesforce too.

**What do you dislike about Aprimo?**

The fact that it's expensive. Reporting looks nice but I still end up exporting to Excel almost every week because I can’t get the exact breakdowns I need in the dashboard. Onboarding took longer than expected, probably 4–5 weeks before everyone was comfortable. Mobile app doesn't work well compared to desktop. Despite all these, it’s still worth it!

It does have a steep learning curve and sometimes I face navigation issues and very rarely performance issues and the customer support is good but slow in my opinion and the cost is not competitive

Our Content Operations Manager conducted an extensive platform comparison, evaluation, and review process to identify the best DAM platform for our specific needs. The Aprimo team helped set up and implement the platform, and they are constantly sharing what more we can do. Great customer support. 

Aprimo has been so easy to add assets, tag them, and create curated views for specific teams. They have some pretty sweet AI capabilities that make it easy to find exactly what you are looking for.

Nothing to report. Aprimo has been a great tool. We previously had Seismic and BTC, but they didn't work for our needs. We've been a multi-year Aprimo cusotmer.

Aprimo has been an amazing addition to our tech stack. We've implemented company-wide and use it for all of our brand assets to enable consistency, our customer story library for enablement, we've created a partner portal, the list goes on and on. It's been a great shift for us as a company to have one central tool that is used far and wide. It's easy to use, easy to understand, easy to share, and easy to track.

I'd like more AI capabilities shipped, but some great functionality is already here. AI is moving so fast and it's hard for anyone to keep up with that in the best ways.

**What do you like best about Aprimo?**

It works. It is professional. It is intuitive and EASY to use. On the very rare occasion that something is not working, you are informed of a timeline. Account managers answer any questions we have. We implemented our DAM in 6 weeks with the assistance of an outside vendor. I am in this DAM multiple times a day. It is quicker and easier to use than finding images on hard drives or servers.

**What do you dislike about Aprimo?**

One downfall is that it is so customizable and complex "under the hood" that it is not for the faint of heart. Sometimes just implementing something simple is a big deal. Fortunately, the Account Managers are there to help.

**What problems is Aprimo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before our DAM with Aprimo, our assets were sprinkled across many internal servers as well as external vendor partners. Now all of our current marketing assets are in one, "easy-to-view, access, and share" location.

- The range of features is impressive and can be overwhelming
- Numerous customizable settings and automatable processes
- CDN also in China for efficient data delivery
- A leading solution and thus future-proof, also regarding the provision of new features
- Personal support during setup and introduction
- Extensive documentation, self-training website, and community
- Single Sign-On (SSO) allows users to quickly access the front-end without a password

**What do you dislike about Aprimo?**

- No best practices, not even in personal exchanges, that would facilitate the setup or initial set-up
- Since the system has to be configured from scratch, we had a very long introduction phase
- AI tagging suggestions are mostly unusable
- Some (basic) functions are missing, e.g., n:n asset associations, so that not every asset has to be manually linked with all others.
- Admin backend is visually unappealing and confusing
- For many settings and automated processes, deep knowledge of the system and preferably programming skills are required.
- Page loading with filtered result display unfortunately often takes longer
- Support tickets often take longer and these inquiries also require a deep understanding of the system's functionality.
- Although there are cloud connectors (e.g., for Contentful), they are not readily usable. Aprimo openly points this out, but it would be much more helpful to offer these connectors for a small fee and keep them functionally and technically up to date.
- Import tools to manage large amounts of data automatically via batch import cost extra

Data silos -> A single source of truth for all digital assets. 
Multiple but no unified place to share content -> All digital content in one central location. 
Share content meaningfully -> Every authorized person can provide content and access content from other colleagues. 
Limited capacities for sharing content -> Unlimited scalability of storage space in a SaaS environment. 
No reasonable management of access and permission rights -> Extensive options for managing access rights and roles. 
Manual conversion of digital assets -> Automated provision of content such as images and videos in the best format and resolution. 
Time and effort to find the right content -> Extensive search functions via text fields, tags, metadata, AI image recognition, etc. 
Update and data maintenance -> Data cleansing and archiving through expiration dates or automated workflows.

Aprimo is more than just asset/content storage. It helps you democratize and leverage your content to help your org extract the maximum value from it. My favorite function is the native AI agent "Content Coach". From a customer marketing perspective, it's so easy to just prompt the Content Coach to find a customer quote looking through our entire storage of video transcripts & written stories using specific keywords. The time saved is monumental!

**What do you dislike about Aprimo?**

Aprimo is very good at providing for its intended use. One thing that does cause some frustration is Content Coach's ability to provide timestamps and links to videos.

AI-Enabled Features: Aprimo’s AI functionality has helped automate tasks like caption generation, and metadata prediction. We are already seeing efficiency gains, with teams spending less time on manual audits and more on strategic value.

Bulk Upload & Metadata Entry
CSV uploads and bulk ingestion workflows are not always smooth. Validation errors can be hard to troubleshoot, and agencies often need extra support.
Integrations & Automation Gaps

Reporting/insights dashboards are powerful, but building custom reports requires training and feels less intuitive compared to other BI tools.
