  ### 1. Straightforward Time Tracking and Remote Team Management Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David F. | CEO, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Apploye?**

The features we use most are the time tracking tools, employee monitoring dashboard, and remote team management functions. It is easy to review tracked hours, monitor work activity, and organize timesheets for different projects. The interface is straightforward, and onboarding new team members was relatively simple for our operations team

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

Some reporting and customization options could be more flexible, especially for teams that need deeper analytics or more advanced workflow settings. There are also occasional delays when syncing activity updates for remote employees.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apploye has helped our financial services team improve time tracking, employee monitoring, and visibility across remote operations. Before using the platform, it was difficult to accurately track working hours, monitor project allocation, and maintain accountability for remote staff members. The software gives us a centralized way to manage attendance, productivity tracking, and project-based time reporting, which has improved internal coordination and helped management review team performance more efficiently.

  ### 2. Apploye Makes Time Tracking and Remote Team Productivity Monitoring Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam W. | CEO, Professional Training & Coaching, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Apploye?**

We use apploye to manage and monitor our remopte virtual assistant team, and it has been very helpful for tracking work hours, productivity, and daily activity across different client projectys .one thing i like most is the automatic time tracking and screenshot monitoring feature. It gives our operations team better visibility into how tasks are being handled without needing constant manual follow ups. The dashboard is also easy to understand, even for non technical team members.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

What i dislike is that some report could be more customizable, especially when filtering team performance by project or clients. occasionally the desktop app may need to be restarted if tracking pauses unexpectedly.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At Virtalent, Apploye solved several challenges related to managing and monitoring a fully remote virtual assistant team. Before using it, it was difficult to accurately track work hours, monitor productivity across multiple client accounts, and maintain transparency without constant check-ins.

The platform helped us centralize time tracking, employee monitoring, and productivity reporting in one place. Features like automatic screenshots, app usage tracking, and detailed timesheets improved accountability while reducing the need for manual reporting from team members.

  ### 3. Accurate Time Tracking and Clear Productivity Insights with Apploye

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saranya B. | Operations Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Apploye?**

What we like most about Apploye is the accurate time tracking and employee monitoring features. As a software development company managing remote developers across multiple projects, the productivity dashboard, app usage tracking, and automated timesheets give us clear visibility into how work hours are being utilized. The interface is straightforward, and onboarding our team was quick and simple.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

Sometimes the desktop app takes a little time to sync activity data, and I’d love to see more integrations with development tools we already use daily. The reporting section could also be a bit cleaner when managing larger teams.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Apploye, we handled time tracking manually, which often created confusion with billable hours and task accountability. Since switching to Apploye, we’ve been able to track developer hours more accurately, improve transparency with clients, and better understand team productivity. It has saved us time on payroll and made remote team management much easier overall.

  ### 4. Clear Time Tracking Visibility Across Projects and Sprint Cycles

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian C. | CEO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Apploye?**

What work best for us is the time tracking dashboard combined with the app usage panel. We manage multiple dev teams across diffrent projects, and before this, it was hard to get a clean view of where time was actually going especially during sprint cycles.
Now, we rely on the project based time logs inside the dashboard to review how much time is being spent on specific tickets or modules. Its not deeply integrated with our dev tools, but it gives enough visibility to spot gaps.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

The biggest issue for us is the UI can feel a bit cluttered, especially when switching between users, projects, and reports. Its not confusing, but it takes some getting used to

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We moved to apploye from a mix of manual tracking and a previous tool that was more expensive and overly complex for our needs. That setup created inconsistencies developers would forget to log time properly, and managers had to manually verify entries.

  ### 5. Automatic Time Tracking and Timesheet Reports That Fixed Our Billing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shamil S. | CEO, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Apploye?**

The most useful part of us is the automatic time tracking combined with the timesheet productivity reports module.
In practice, what this fixed for us was a recurring issue, team members logging hours late or forgetting to track time o switching tasks between SEO work, ad management, and client reporting.
We now rely on heavily on the Timesheet view, where we can break down work per client and per project. It helped us clean up a billing issue where we were under invoicing one of our retainer clients because time was being split across too many tools before .

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

The interface feels slightly crowned once you start managing multiple projects and users. Its functional, but not always clean to navigate when switching between reports, timesheets and activity logs.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We moved away from a previous tools mainly because it was becoming too expensive per user and too heavy for a mid sized agency setup like ours. It also required more manual correction in timesheets, which defeated the purpose of automation

  ### 6. Clear, Simple Time Tracking That Boosts Accountability for Remote Teams

**Reviewed by:** William C. | CEO, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

We run a remote marketing team, and apploye has helped us improve employee monitoring, and time tracking without making things overly complicated. The dashboard gives a clear overview of active hours, app usage, and project time, which makes reporting easier for managers and clients. It also helped reduce missed hours and improved accountability across campaigns.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

The interface can feel slightly crowded at first, especially when managing multiple teams. some reports also take a little longer to load during peak usage

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Apploye we relied on spreadsheet and manual updates, which caused tracking inconsistencies and delays in reporting. Since switching, our team tracking process has become more organized, and we spend less time verifying work logs. Its been especially useful for managing remote employees and monitoring productivity across different marketing projects.

The automatic time tracking, screenshot monitoring, and app usage reports are very useful for managing remote employees without creating unnecessary complexity. The dashboard is clean, easy to navigate, and gives managers quick insights into team performance.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

The desktop application occasionally experiences minor syncing delays during peak working hours. Additional integrations with developer tools and project management platforms would make the workflow even smoother for technical teams.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apploye helps us manage employee productivity, billable hours, and attendance tracking across remote software development teams. It improves accountability while also helping team leads identify workload distribution and project efficiency. **What do you like best about Apploye?**

I've been using Apploye for about three months now to track my remote marketing team's time on client work. The Top 5 time logged feature gives us a clear view of who is logging the most hours, and the most hour logged project is super useful when assessing the amount of effort p[ut into each project.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

The reporting took a little getting used to at first. I found it tricky to filter data by team member and project, but once i got the hang of it, it became easier to analyze time across different clients.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Apploye, we didn't have a reliable way to track time spent on client campaigns. Now, we have visibility into how time is spent daily, which helps with better planning and client billing.

The time tracking and screenshot features help us verify progress without interrupting developers during work hours. The dashboard makes it easier to review productivity trends and manage project timelines. Payroll preparation is also more organized because work hours are recorded accurately.

The reporting section could provide more filtering options for larger projects with multiple departments. Some integrations could also be expanded.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apploye solved workflow visibility issues for our remote team. Before using it, project managers spent too much time following up manually for updates. Now we can review proof of work, monitor workloads, and manage deadlines more efficiently while avoiding unnecessary micromanagement.

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Apploye?**

I mainly use Apploye to track my working hours, and it's pretty nice. Just open it, start, and I can forget about the timer. It tracks my time, gives me a reminder to take a break, and shows me how focused I was with my work. I like the interface and how easy it is to navigate everything. I also appreciate that it's mostly accurate and provides a detailed report on my work on a daily basis. The initial setup was very easy, and I didn't have any issue with setting things up.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

I think they should improve their analysis and suggestions part, like when I'm not too focused, the app could nudge me to work in a different way for better productivity.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

One drawback of **Apploye** is that some of its monitoring features — like screenshots and activity tracking — can feel a bit intrusive for employees if not communicated properly.

Additionally, the interface and integrations are simpler compared to larger enterprise tools, which may limit advanced customization or workflow automation for bigger teams.

Overall, it’s effective and easy to use, but it may lack some flexibility and comfort for teams that prefer a lighter, trust-based tracking approach.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We moved from manual tracking, which caused inconsistencies and disputes. With Apploye, timesheet reviews are faster (cut down by around 30%), and tracking is more transparent and reliable.

  ### 14. Streamlined Hour Validation and Faster Payroll Cycles

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob B. | CEO, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

It made it easier for our operation managers to validate hours without going back and forth with team leads. previously, we had to rely on manual confirmations, which slowed down payroll cycles.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

The interface takes some time to get used to, especially for managers handling multiple teams. It's not overly complex, but it's not immediately intuitive either

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We moved to apploye from a combination of manual timesheets and a legacy tracking tool that required too much oversight and frequent corrections. That setup creates delays in payroll processing and occasional disputes over logged hours.

It works as it should in a basic manner for tracking users time.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tara M.

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Apploye?**

I really like the idle time tracker because it tracks neutral versus idle time, and I can personally adjust what I want the idle time to flag. This has been really useful for me to identify employees who are abusing time and not working, and also to praise employees who are effectively using their time. I love how I can personalize the idle time versus neutral time settings, and it's not rigid. I also enjoy the screenshot features and the tracking, and payroll feature which are a big help for my small personal company with less than five employees. The initial setup was incredibly easy too; my team just downloads an extension, logs in, and they're good to go to start logging in and tracking time.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

I tried to link Apploye to ClickUp tasks, and that user interface for me was difficult to navigate, and I ultimately did not use that feature. But I feel like if the user interface was simpler, I would use that feature and link it to Apploye.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Apploye to track my employees' work times and ensure they are productive. It solves time and attendance tracking issues with easy sign-ins and outs, automatically capturing screenshots and idle times. The payroll feature helps me manage payments correctly and on time.

  ### 21. Modern, Bug-Free Productivity Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Apploye?**

I really like that Apploye seems to be the best productivity tool for teams in the market. Having used Time Doctor before, I find Apploye to be more modern, fast, and it doesn't have any bugs at all for me, which is great. Plus, the setup was very easy for the team.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

I'm not sure if there is a way to change the salary and for it to reflect from the point of when I change the salary. So future payroll would reflect that change if I give them an increase. I'm not sure if that feature is built in but I can't seem to find it.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Apploye to ensure staff productivity and prevent slacking off. It lets me question their performance if they're inactive.

  ### 22. Managing remote team made much easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kazi M. | Content Manager, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Apploye?**

The monitoring feature is hands down the most valuable part for me. Since I run a fully remote team, being able to see activity levels, which apps are being used, and occasional screenshots really helps. It gives me a clear picture of what’s going on, so I can make sure everyone’s on track and offer support when needed, even from a distance.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

I was a bit hesitant about how my team would feel about monitoring. Once they saw it wasn’t invasive and was meant to improve trust and accountability, everyone was on board.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Apploye, managing my remote team felt like guessing. I didn’t really know who was working on what or how things were going. Now, I can see how my team is working, which helps me plan better, set fair deadlines, and make sure no one is getting overwhelmed. It’s made us more productive and completely solved our problem with tracking remote work.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apploye tracks team hours and productivity easily, saving us time on reporting and helping us stay organized and focused.

  ### 31. Affordable Time Tracker for Remote Teams

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad A. | Associate Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Apploye?**

The most remarkable thing about Apploye is it has too many features with a very minimum monthly subscription fee. Apart from time tracking, it also provides a Task Management feature that helps organizations monitor employees' productivity. I don't need to use any other project management tool like Trello or Asana when Apploye came with all the features in one single step.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

They promised that some of the features are coming soon but yet they haven't been published. Attendance And Leave Management system is vital for any remote team, another feature is Task Schedule. I hope they will make this feature available very soon.

**Recommendations to others considering Apploye:**

Apploye is still the best time tracking and remote team management tool in Market.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Apployee, I couldn't maintain some of the remote team members effectively. Hence, I used Trello and Asana type project management tools but these are not heavily featured and the UX was not awesome like Apploye.

  ### 32. Hidden gem for Timesheets

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Apploye?**

A very nice tool to keep track of timesheets and tasks with an incredibly clean UI and fast learning curve.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

Some features are still under development, but it is not a deal-breaker.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am keeping track of work tasks and working time.

  ### 33. Efficient for Team Management

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter P. | President/Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Apploye?**

The thing I loved the most about Apploye was its time tracking/hours + screenshot ability to monitor my workers. It helps to ensure accountability and keep track of hours/scheduling on an easy-to-read dashboard. The tool improved productivity by saving time on manually tracking hours, creating reports, and motivating workers to stay on task.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

There were some downsides to Apploye, namely, the screenshot tool, which some employees felt invasive. There needs to be a level of trust between employer and employee, since no one (even the superstars) works at 100% focus during all working hours. Everyone needs a mini break to surf the web or do something not work related, so if a screenshot captures that, it caused friction.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With remote working, ensuring workers were on task and productive as much as possible, as well as tracking hours and scheduling were major sticking points. The app allowed me to manage all of that from my dashboard.

  ### 34. Easy to gain visibility of the entire team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarthak A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Apploye?**

The array of functionalities Apploye provides. The work accomplished by Apploye would easily require two separate products. Since it allows me to view the end to end lifecycle right from time spent by each employee per project till payments, it helps us keep a check on all the ongoing projects.

**What do you dislike about Apploye?**

Nothing specific, but since the app is packed with features, I would love to see an explainer at the beginning of sign up - Atleast for the admin.

**What problems is Apploye solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To keep a track on all the ongoing projects

  ### 35. Really helpful app!

**Recommendations to others considering Apploye:**

Great visibility and increasing productivity at a really competitive fees.

1- Apploye takes random screenshots to remote teachers allowing us verifying their work and increasing the trust and productivity
