Often crashes when cleaning the model again after making some changes to geometry **What problems is Ansys SpaceClaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** 3D Cad model on which FEA / CFD analysis has to be performed has to cleaned properly for meshing. So in spaceclaim we can reduce the complexity of model by removing fillets, sharp corner , edges and create topology for mesh. ### 2. I appreciate that it allows for checking interference and removing extra edges with just one click. It's currently the best tool for cleanup and was very easy to teach my team. **What do you dislike about Ansys SpaceClaim?** Sometimes it automatically slows down, that should be improved. **What problems is Ansys SpaceClaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Ansys SpaceClaim for geometry cleanup, checking interference, and removing extra edges effortlessly. It's very easy to handle with lots of intuitive options, making it a preferred tool over other design modelers. ### 3. Great drafting process that gets the job details out to the fabricators on the shop floor. We use spaceclaim to make tooling for sheet metal stampings. once you've mastered it, Changes are a breeze to make, and in the prototype business thay comes in very handy. **What do you dislike about Ansys SpaceClaim?** The sheet metal un-folding package is not very robust when it comes to blanking parts with beads in them. and will not unfold parts with contour, Like VISI can do. **What problems is Ansys SpaceClaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** The speed in which we can develop tooling around a customer supplied part. ### 5. The basic functions like dividing a face into a no. of splits, making a group of faces, etc should come very handy. **What problems is Ansys SpaceClaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps in reducing the simulation run time a lot by helping us in simplifying the complex and real-world engineering conditions into much simpler and practical conditions such that there is no effect on the accuracy of results. ### 7. Steep down curve for isers using loft and sweep feature. Used for extracting mid surface as well used for analysis purpose. Various modeling options makes users to reduce modeling time ### 8. Requires practices to get used if using otger modelling software. You can simply delete or add a feature or change a size of a part. It also helps with parametric study by shifting e.g. length of a part, you can study a dependent result variation. **What do you dislike about Ansys SpaceClaim?** Modeling a brand new geometry from scetch is something I could not intuitively figure out like I did in Solidworks or Inventor. It is in the level of difficulty as Autocad or Catia. Its interface could be more user friendly **What problems is Ansys SpaceClaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** I solved big machinery problems either prepared and simplified model for static structural analysis or rigid dynamics analysis.
