**What do you like best about Ansys Meshing?**

It has both automatic meshing, and semi automatic for meshing variations. Easy to get the meshing with auto options. And I am using it for time bound meshing. Easy to imlement and integrate with Ansys Workbench.

**What do you dislike about Ansys Meshing?**

Control on the mesh transition is less compared to other meshing tools.

**What problems is Ansys Meshing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do use Ansys workbench for simulations, but whenever the refined mesh is required we use Ansys Mesh tool to modify and get the required meshing.

The best thing about Ansys Meshing is its user-friendly and easy-to-use interface compared to other software like Hypermesh. Ansys Meshing is the best pre-processing tool for beginners in the FEA and CFD fields.

**What do you dislike about Ansys Meshing?**

Since Ansys is not the software that specializes only in meshing, sometimes, for the simulations where we need a particular type of meshing in certain areas, it becomes challenging and time-consuming to work in it.

**What problems is Ansys Meshing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Meshing is a crucial step in any simulation activity, as deciding how much the simulation will have accuracy and how much time it will take to solve the simulation. Ansys Meshing help simplify the meshing process in a very efficient way.

**What do you like best about Ansys Meshing?**

The latest software version is very easy to use, produce accurate results and requires less simulation time.  Its Multi-Physics Meshing feature enables users to analyze complex real-worls problems.

**What do you dislike about Ansys Meshing?**

Generating meshes for large models consumes a lot time especially when meshes are of high-quality and fine meshes. For specialized simulations there are limitations on meshing strategies and complex design.

**What problems is Ansys Meshing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's automated meshing capabilities automatically generate meshes for a wide range of geometries, reducing the need for manual setup which saves time and effort.

**What do you like best about Ansys Meshing?**

We can have reasonable control of the Meshing of the components.
Whether it is a Single body or Assemblies.
With the require number of elements, type of elements or even user-defined elements

**What do you dislike about Ansys Meshing?**

In Ansys, the user should know what he is doing. Otherwise, we will end up complicating the final results or output

**What problems is Ansys Meshing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used ansys for structural and sometimes fatigue calculations, requiring a particular number of elements at critical locations. As mentioned in Internation standards. E.g., DNVGL.
Some of the Certifying bodies prefer Ansys Mesh.

This is very useful in designing and analysing before the product goes to live on production.
This is useful to take corrective actions before have major problems.

**What do you dislike about Ansys Meshing?**

Nothing to be classified in negative way for this ansys meshing software. Everything looks useful and required in designing.

**What problems is Ansys Meshing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is Computer aided drafting tool required for many problem solving. Calculate sfd and bmd on perticular beam. Etc.....

**What do you like best about Ansys Meshing?**

1. Watertight workflow is the best feature as it saves the analyst a lot of manual work
2. WTF files are a very powerful feature to help automate workflows
3. Python scripting work on the Watertight workflow, which is very powerful for automation
4. Poly meshing parallel computing i very fast

**What do you dislike about Ansys Meshing?**

1. Frequent saving of files in watertight, which takes a lot of diskspace and time
2. Requirement of the workflow to have a  very clean watertight geometry; there are other meshers I use that mesh relatively unclean geometries very nicely
3. Limitation of the watertight workflow in screwing up names of solids/fluids names in case of some changes in CAD
4. Limitation of watertight workflow  - to have a 100% share topology to the level needed by Ansys meshing can be very time consuming

Meshing complex geomtries before proceeding to CFD solution stage

There is no proper documentary, and we cannot use third party preprocessing.

**What do you like best about Ansys Meshing?**

Coming from ICEM-CFD, Meshing allowed to improve productivity significantly. It gives the possibility to automate processes within Workbench and allows parametrization and the possibility to access to other interesting meshing methods (sweeping).

**What do you dislike about Ansys Meshing?**

The tool is mostly a new front-end, while keeping many limitations of ICEM-CFD (very poor parallelization). In addition many warnings/errors are not clear and the tool was never updated to fix some bugs. For example, when you set an inflation on a named selection, if you change geometry the inflation will not work and you'll have to switch to geometry selection and back again to named selection. Another strong limitation is that you can apply a face sizing only on a geometry selection and a single named selection, not on multiple named selections.

**What problems is Ansys Meshing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Possibility to automate processes within Workbench by linking Geometry, Meshing and solvers. In addition it is significantly faster compared to ICEM-CFD (especially when creating prisms)

**What do you like best about Ansys Meshing?**

ANSYS Meshing is a great tool for a wide variety of applications. Whether the mesh is structured, unstructured, or a combination of both, the software offers great flexibility and is able to generate high-quality grids with little input from the user.
The user interface is well designed and gets updated with every product release.

**What do you dislike about Ansys Meshing?**

The only thing that comes to mind is the limited options to size elements along lines. For now, only Bias Factor and Growth Ratio are available. It would be extremely helpful if more functions are added.

I have used ANSYS Meshing for a long list of problems. From simple geometries to complex systems, this software has allowed me to generate high-quality structured and unstructured grids.

Mesh generation is easy  and intelligent for both 2D/3D and highly accurate

If mesging is not done correctly the design validation will be a nightmare.system requirements are bit needy.

**What do you like best about Ansys Meshing?**

Thanks to its ability to make fast meshes, it shortens project times in complex geometries.

During the meshing process, all parts can be controlled at the same time. Quality controls can be made to ensure the appropriate mesh criteria for the solution.

**What do you dislike about Ansys Meshing?**

Updating the geometry disappears meshes from other independent parts. It is necessary to start over again.

**Recommendations to others considering Ansys Meshing:**

There are ANSYS documents to make it easier to use from the beginning to the end for new users.

There are mesh settings to bring a common solution in different application areas. This allows you to do your work faster and safer.

**What problems is Ansys Meshing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of dealing with complex surfaces one by one in plastic parts, I created a very easy and accurate finite element construction with ANSYS MESH.

I usually use multizone mesh for solid parts and quad4 mesh for shell geometries. However, in some places I use tria3 element due to geometrical irregularities.

**What do you like best about Ansys Meshing?**

ANSYS meshing is integrated into ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS APDL, and ANSYS Mechanical designer. It offers different meshing types and allows users to choose specific meshing size. Customizing meshing size and type is always helpful in engineering simulation. Meshing is also needed to be complete before getting into analyzing the deflection and stress level of a product/structure. ANSYS meshing chooses the most appropriate options based on the analysis type and the geometry of the model.

**What do you dislike about Ansys Meshing?**

Sometimes if the mesh size is very small and the meshing computational time would be loooong. And if you want to stop meshing at that moment, the only thing you can do is kill the meshing server from the Task Manager, which can affect other processes in ANSYS too.

**Recommendations to others considering Ansys Meshing:**

ANSYS Meshing works perfectly with most engineering simulations. It does the discretization job for a product/structure very well whichever meshing type/size you are using.

Analyzing the responses of a steel structure under different loading conditions. ANSYS meshing is suitable and works well to give automatic and customized meshing depending on the analysis focus.

Not many options like ICEM meshing Software. I like all icem options with ansys meshing interface.

I like everything except the fact that modeling is not good and we have import models from other softwares.

The plethora of best-in-class solvers.  Also, the meshing tools are very robust.

The disarray/disjointed-ness of the many technologies.

Learn your simulation needs well before investing; ANSYS is very powerful and you may not need all the functionality it offers.

-Simple and quick meshing tools for simple analysis and validations. 
-Great tool for Design Optimization Projects.
-Variety of Contact formulations to effectively simulate the physical system
-Comprehensive software user guide

-Cannot create cells and split geometry to apply BCs to specific sections.
-Cannot add few BCs on .IGS format geometry files.

**What do you like best about Ansys Meshing?**

Everything. Right from the detailed meshing process to the analyses results that we get, ANSYS has always stood out as my preferred choice to perform mechanical and thermal analyses. Also, their user defined feature is pretty useful.

**What do you dislike about Ansys Meshing?**

Meshing process for complex assemblies and designs can be really difficult. I dont know if thats a problem with the software itself or just the method, but that is definitely something that could be improved.

**Recommendations to others considering Ansys Meshing:**

Its already the most popular software thats being used in the industry. The benefits of using this software are well known =, so all I would say is that it stands true to the test.

**What problems is Ansys Meshing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am creating a new beam element formulation for crash analysis. this beam will be able to better predict the progressive failure of elements in the automotive sector. 

The user defined feature of ANSYS has been extremely useful in this regard.
