Security is of the upmost importance these days with the focus on keeping
unwanted/unauthorized visitors out of your networks and services.
As we have all seen this approach is not always successful.
ADEPT's focus on controlling Egress is a great idea. ADEPT can easily detect any
realtime threats outgoing request and stop it before it can leave the network. Configuring
the service is easily done through the ADEPT web UI control panel.
ADEPT was very easy to set up via the supplied template. Adding new servers to the network
and ADEPT's coverage is also easily done with the use of tags.
Using ADEPT as a complimentary service in conjunction with our other security services
is a great addition and gives us more than one approach to network security.
Passive Mode / Learning Mode also gives useful insights into what activities are actually happening
within our networks, both acceptable and unwanted network activities. Having this information
has made it easy to determine what activities we need egress controls over and activities
that are globally acceptable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a new product and it will take time to evolve so nothing to dislike about it at this point
but it will be great to see how the
product expands its available services.
Some feature implementations I would like to see include:
Summarized/Aggregated reports on DNS requests by day, week & month.
Web UI graphs/reports on threats/unwanted outbound requests that were stopped. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
