I love the ease of use! The program easily attaches to an extension on my browser. I simply click which tab and it does everything else for me! It creates my how to guides almost instantly. The only downside to Scribe is that it is very verbatim. Make sure to double check your scribe as you may have repetitive clicks. But also, it is nice in case you are so used to pulling a report, it points out exactly what you do! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I do not care for the auto-adjustment of the program (ie AI, condensing of steps). I work with older user who require multiple iterations of the same movement so they can become familiar wtih the process. It assumes that it is repetitive with no fuction and condenses them.

Initially, I was intimidated by the power of Scribe. PRO is the way to go since it provides so much more power - being my apps are both Desktop and Web based. Spending a number of hours over two or three days I was able to figure out how to capture the Scribe. I've noticed a couple of gaps in functionality with Scribe. The quality of click targets when exporting to any format, except when directly publishing the Scribe, turns out really pixelated for some reason, which is annoying. Scribe automatically captures each step with screenshots, so documenting [process name] went from taking an hour to taking minutes—and people actually read it. The drag-and-drop editor is what I use most: when a system changes, I can reorder or swap a step in seconds instead of re-recording the entire guide. Capture itself is fast and the extension stays out of the way; the only slowdown I notice is with very long guides, which can take a moment to load.

Embedding guides where people already work matters more than I expected. We drop them into [Slack / SharePoint / Notion] and they render inline, so nobody has to leave what they’re doing to go hunt down a process. Onboarding was quick—I had my first usable guide out the same day, without training—and support has been [responsive when I've needed it].

The AI features are a mixed bag. Generating a guide from a written prompt gives you a clean-looking skeleton, but the steps read as generic and didn’t match how our systems actually work, so I still start from a real capture. The auto-written step text from a capture is genuinely useful, though—it’s usually close enough that I can keep it with only minor tweaks.

Grouping related guides into a workflow means a new hire can follow a process end to end instead of hunting through scattered documents. The unexpected benefit is that I send a link now instead of scheduling a call, and the questions that used to come back every few weeks don’t.
