I really like how LogicalDOC balances strong on-premise security, full document control, and ease of use. Many enterprise DMS platforms struggle to deliver this balance, but LogicalDOC manages it well. It feels modern and intuitive for everyday use. The most standout feature for me is the full-text search across all documents and formats. We deal with countless PDFs, Word docs, scans, and contracts, and LogicalDOC indexes everything, so we can find any file in seconds just by searching for a phrase, name, or keyword. That significantly saves our team hours every week compared to digging through folders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While search works well, the filtering and tagging system could be more intuitive. Setting up custom metadata and making it mandatory for certain folders takes extra configuration, and it’s not as user-friendly for non-admin staff. Also, better automation around document workflows and notifications is needed. We have to manually check for document changes, approvals, or overdue tasks, which could be improved with built-in, customizable alerts. Lastly, the initial setup of LogicalDOC is manageable but leans toward IT-admin friendly rather than a fully click-and-go consumer tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
