"Modern, Automated Direct Mail with Excellent APIs and All-in-One Analytics"
5/5
What do you like best about Lob?

What I like best about Lob is the performance visibility and the ROI.

We have much better insight into what happens after a piece of mail is sent, including whether postcards were delivered or were undeliverable and why. That visibility used to require a much more manual process for us.

Before Lob, we also relied on another company to process returned mail, count the undeliverable pieces, and provide us with an Excel report. That was costing us around $500 per month. Lob has that functionality built directly into the platform, so we’ve been able to eliminate that additional cost while also saving a significant amount of manual work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lob?

There really isn’t much we dislike about Lob.

If I had to pick one area, it would be that some of the more advanced features and reporting can take a little time to fully understand when you first start using the platform.

It definitely has a learning curve for the more advanced features, but once you learn everything the possibilities are endless! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Real-Time Campaign Visibility That Keeps Us on Track"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Lob?

I love the visibility into our campaigns and seeing our progress in real time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lob?

I would love if the custom elements didn't take so long to order as we like to move very quickly. However, once we have our custom pieces in stock, the printing and processing piece moves very quickly. As well, it would be amazing if Lob was more of a one-stop shop where we could get data in house instead of using outside vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Physical Mail, Fully Automated and Reliable"
5/5
What do you like best about Lob?

We use Lob to handle our physical mail programmatically. Instead of dealing with printers, postage, and manual mailing, we send the request through their API and Lob takes care of the print and delivery side.

It's become the piece we don't have to think about anymore. We generate the documents on our end, hand them off, and they go out reliably. That's exactly what we wanted from it. The API integration is seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lob?

Honestly, not much. If I had to name something, there was a bit of a learning curve early on getting everything dialed in the way we wanted. Once it was set up, though, it just ran. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cost-Effective Mass Mailings with Easy Content Uploads"
5/5
What do you like best about Lob?

I love how cost-effective it is for our mass-mailings on behalf of our agents. Very easy to upload your content as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lob?

It's more on the accounting side, it takes forever for our credits to process. Sometimes we barely use them and sometimes we fly through them. Nothing worse than not having credits when we need to send out a time-sensitive mailer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Automating Physical Mail Made Easy with Lob’s Powerful API"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Lob?

What I like best is how it turns physical mail into something developers can automate like any other API. You can programmatically send postcards, letters, checks, etc., without building the printing, addressing, and mailing infrastructure yourself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lob?

What I like least about Lob is that it isn’t very user-friendly for new users. When I first started using Lob, it took me a while to work through each layer of the interface to find what I was looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Navigate and Fast, but Name Search Needs Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Lob?

The system is easy to navigate, meaning we can locate customer mail faster and reduce wait time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lob?

At times, when I am searching for checks, the UI does not always recognize the customers' names. However, when I manually look through each check, I am able to locate it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Vital Integrations and Effortless Automation for High-Volume Letter Sending"
4/5
What do you like best about Lob?

The ability to integrate Lob with our custom database and software is vital to how we operate. Being able to automate huge amounts of letter sends is amazing. There are some key aspects that Lob provides we have not been able to take advantage of yet, but I appreciate all of the feedback we are able to call directly from Lob systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lob?

I don't really have much that I dislike about Lob. When discussing HTML with a contractor that has more expertise in the language I was informed that the current abilities in Lob are outdated. I am not an expert though, and I've found I have been able to do everything I need and want to do and have been learning HTML quickly using the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective Platform Integration, Needs Better Documentation"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Lob?

I really like Lob's API, which lets us build directly into our existing marketing platform. It saves us from having to learn and deal with an additional platform, making the whole process much more streamlined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lob?

I find the API documentation could be more robust. I had to guess and check to get things to work the way I wanted and do test sends. While there might not be a better alternative, I still felt the guess and check approach was something I had to do. Also, the idempotency feature that prevents duplicate sends made it hard to do test sends because the logic wasn't clear when it considered something a duplicate. "Engaged, Responsive Team That Makes Platform Transitions Smooth"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Lob?

Our team with them is very engaged, easy to work with and quickly identifies areas of opportunity as well as issues which could cause larger problems. When we made switches within their payment platform they were quick to respond and work through the transition. For our mailing use we have not had to look at those features as our letters and most contacts are templates and approved internally For our mailing use we have not had to look at those features as our letters and most contacts are templates and approved internally For our mailing use we have not had to look at those features as our letters and most contacts are templates and approved internally For our mailing use we have not had to look at those features as our letters and most contacts are templates and approved internally Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lob?

The move to credits over the traditional monthly billing has been difficult as our mailing/usage is not as consistent as we would like which can make governance and working internally with finance partners difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Post-Pay Billing That Simplifies Budget Management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Lob?

What I like best about Lob is the post-pay billing model. As a Marketing Operations Manager, I’m responsible for closely monitoring our budget and managing spend across multiple vendors and campaigns. Lob’s post-pay structure provides significantly more flexibility than pre-funded accounts because it allows us to scale our usage as needed without having to estimate and allocate funds in advance.

This approach simplifies budget management, reduces administrative overhead, and makes it easier to align expenses with actual campaign activity. It also improves cash flow by ensuring we are billed only for the services we use. Overall, Lob’s post-pay system is a practical and efficient solution that supports better financial control and operational agility for our marketing team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lob?

Haven't found anything yet but we are pretty new to the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
