**What do you like best about Justworks?**

What I like best about Justworks is how it brings everything into one place. It makes it really easy to manage onboarding, payroll, benefits, and compliance without having to jump between different systems.

The platform is very intuitive, so tasks like adding new hires, tracking documents, or handling payroll don’t take much time. I also appreciate how much it reduces manual work, things that used to take multiple steps or tools are now streamlined and automated

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

One thing that could be improved about Justworks is the flexibility of its features. It handles the basics really well, but if you need more advanced tools, like deeper reporting, integrations, or built-in time tracking—you often have to rely on add-ons or external systems. Also I would say that the feature to sign documents needs a lot of improvements (missing a lot of options like the ones we have in BoxSign or DropBox

Justworks solves the challenge of managing multiple HR processes—like payroll, onboarding, benefits, and compliance, by bringing everything into one platform. Instead of handling these tasks manually or across different systems, it centralizes them and automates a lot of the work.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

They have centralized certain HR features that makes it easy to onboard new employees and manage payroll.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

Despite paying a premium, I have not saved time using their services because their service support is either very slow (i.e. 7-10 weeks to resolve issues) or they completely fail to provide the correct documentation (i.e full W2 forms). We switched over to them mid-year and gave them all W2 info from the previous provider during onboarding, but they did not send full year W2 forms to employees. I asked them to correct this and they flat out refused. This is one example of an issue that will take me hours to resolve and likely cost me thousands of dollars.

I find Justworks easy to use and simple to understand, making it accessible even for new employees. It's also very cost-effective compared to other options. The platform makes it easy to navigate and share payroll details, which helps me track and manage tasks efficiently. Setting up Justworks initially was straightforward and meaningful, improving our business administration.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

Justworks is an amazing platform to use. However, AI integration will make it even better. If we have an AI Search bot and quick help bot, it will definitely make things faster.

Justworks handles our payroll and legal stuff. It's easy to use, simple, cost-effective, and new hires quickly adapt. It makes tracking payroll details fast and easy because everything is sorted properly, making it simple to navigate and share.

The simplicity of Justworks makes it easy to find what you're looking for. They also have a very robust customer support system so you are never lost within the product. It's been very easy to manage various HR related functions.

Justworks doesn't offer the best variety of benefit packages and sometimes you don't have the flexibility other platforms offer leading to increased costs.

Justworks streamlines the onboarding process, making it easy to bring new employees on board. It also lets existing employees manage things like PTO, reimbursements, taxes, and other related tasks in one place. It also allows for easy integration of other apps we use.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

This is my #1 choice for PEOs. The platform is easy to use and navigate, organized and well laid out. From onboarding employees, setting up and enrolling in benefits, 401k, to making personnel changes to salary, titles, etc. this platform is the absolute best. I also love that employers still have control and the ability to make changes on their own as opposed to other PEO platforms. Customer service often has same day turnaround, and the chat feature actually solves problems without submitting a case and getting back to you weeks later.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

Report function is limited and needs to offer more capabilities.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multi state compliance, benefits administration, HR support. This allows me to be hands off with most of these responsibilities.

I like using Justworks for its org chart, healthcare, and financial tool features. It enables easy-to-understand and use benefits features. The initial setup was easy. I also appreciate being able to access the benefits of a larger organization while being a small organization.

I would love if you could add contractors who are not employed through Justworks to the org chart feature.

What I like best about Justworks is how simple and intuitive the platform is. As a startup with a lean HR team, having payroll, benefits, onboarding, and compliance all in one place saves us a tremendous amount of time.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

The biggest challenge we experienced with Justworks was customer support. After we transitioned off the platform, it was extremely difficult to retrieve historical employee documents that were needed for our records. Accessing prior documents felt unnecessarily complicated, which was frustrating given how essential they were for compliance and HR purposes.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Justworks makes it easy to manage HR and payroll as a small company that needs the support of a PEO. It takes a lot of administrative work off our plate and keeps things simple while we’re in our early stages. The system is fairly basic, so once you grow and need more advanced HR functionality, you’ll eventually have to upgrade to a more robust platform but for a startup, it solves the immediate need for streamlined HR, payroll, and compliance support.

I really liked the ease of entering payroll hours at my discretion. Justworks gave me more than one option to enter hours, and incredibly easy to enter corrections.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

It would be nice to see Justworks communicate with more platforms than it currently does. At this time, there are competitors that act as more of a one-stop shop for payroll, benefits, compliance work, additional learning, alerts for system updates of the connected platforms. Thus making the competitor more appeasing.

At the time, Justworks was the source of record for all payroll activities and timekeeping.

What I like best about Justworks is how straightforward and reliable they are. Their platform is easy to navigate, and their team consistently delivers clear, accurate guidance, which is critical when managing payroll and HR compliance.

What is most helpful?
The most helpful aspect of Justworks is their 24/7 availability and quick response time. No matter when I reach out, I receive timely and knowledgeable support. Everyone I've spoken to has been professional, helpful, and well-informed.

What are the upsides of using Justworks?
The major upsides of using Justworks are peace of mind and time savings. I can trust that our company, SLM Architecture, is staying compliant thanks to their proactive communication and support. Their responsiveness and expertise make handling complex HR and payroll issues far less stressful. Overall, they make a critical part of our business operations smooth and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

While I truly appreciate Justworks and have had a very positive experience overall, one area that could use improvement is the training modules. Since some of the trainings—like harassment prevention—are required annually, it would be helpful if the content was updated or varied year to year to keep it more engaging for returning users.
What are the downsides of using Justworks?
There really aren’t many downsides to using Justworks.

Justworks takes a huge weight off my shoulders by handling payroll, benefits administration, and compliance all in one place. Before using Justworks, managing these tasks was time-consuming and stressful—especially staying on top of ever-changing HR and labor laws. Now, I have peace of mind knowing that SLM Architecture is compliant, and if I ever have a question, I can reach someone 24/7 who’s knowledgeable and ready to help. It’s allowed me to focus more on supporting our team and running the business, instead of getting caught up in administrative work.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

Justworks is a great service that makes managing HR processes really simple and convenient. It is easy to understand even for beginners: everything is intuitive, nothing superfluous - just what you need to work. The main advantage of Justworks is that it brings everything together in one place. Payroll, benefits, taxes, employee onboarding, compliance - everything is under control, without having to use several different platforms. I also love that Justworks makes it easy to manage all aspects of work: medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement contributions, and HSA/FSA accounts. Everything is set up so you don't waste extra time and can focus on what's important, the service takes care of everything that would normally take time. Plus, all financial information is presented transparently and you always know where your money goes. Separately, I would like to mention the support service. Guys are always on the phone, quickly answer and help to solve any question, this is especially important when urgent tasks arise. They also have an app for both platforms and it makes it easy to use from your phone. I had to go to the dentist to find a Member ID for my plan, good thing I had the app installed before and it was quick and easy to use.

I don't really have anything to criticize Justworks, I like everything about it.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

Being in an operations role within a small business means wearing many hats. Up until we onboarded with Justworks, payroll, contractor payments, 1099s, and overall payment administration was time intensive. Now, onboarding contractors and employees is simplified and streamlined with an intuitive interface. We've actually onboarded vendors who specifically provided feedback regarding how easy it was to setup their account.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

Finding areas I dislike is difficult, however the only very minor pain point is the link that folks are provided to onboard in the system. If they don't click to activate within 24 hours, the link expires. I've had to retrigger invited multiple times in the past, which is easy to do. But with a little more time than 24 hours, it would eliminate the need to have to resend links.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Justworks fills the necessary gap in both payroll and contractor arrangements. We don't have a lot of time to spend in administering payments and for what they offer, the price is right on point. It save us from manual payment processing headaches, gives us a central location to run reports and manage pay, and also the benefits offered through the platform are an added bonus. Really appreciate access to Mineral HR as well, which offers a wide range of HR resources for small business.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

Website loads quickly, has a simple layout, is easy to use, has the features we need, was pretty easy to implement, offers great customer support, and integrates with our online accounting software.  I use it regularly, and when I do, it's actually an enjoyable, smooth experience.  Compared to more complicated DIY systems, or other types of payroll companies where you have to coordinate everything through their payroll specialist, Justworks is the best option I've used.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

There are a few small features that could be added, like the ability to set recurring expense reimbursements, but they are minor features.  No dealbreakers.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous payroll company didn't have salary on autopay, so every pay period, you still had to go through the payroll process to get everyone paid.  With another company we worked with, we had to run everything through one person who helped us, but when they were busy or things were urgent, problems happened.  Justworks presents an easy-to-use opportunity to do it yourself but have the support of a great, responsive customer service team there for support.  Previously, we had to navigate confusing, hard-to-navigate menus or deal with back and forth between our main point of contact.  Now, with Justworks, we can take care of things ourselves easily and quickly with intuitive software and customer support when we need it.

Not aggregating taxable income before applying W4
Not having one paystub with one direct deposit
Not being able to handle a 9-5 workday with paid lunches and process Salaried Non-Exempt employees correctly
Passing all expenses through one P&L account instead of mapping Expense Report categories to P&L accounts
No ability to print out a readable invoice
No dedicated Customer Support

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Health Insurance - removing us from the small business market to the large business market saving on HI costs.  However, the issues we have in using Justworks has reached a point where we are actively looking for another PEO.  They simply don't respond to product issues, most notably not aggregating taxable income before applying the W4.  This causes major tax issues for employees when they receive other taxable income like a HI reimbursement or car stipend on top of their bi-weekly salary.

One small thing I’ve noticed is that the mobile app can sometimes be a bit slow to load paystub details, which can be a minor annoyance when I’m checking things on the go. It’s not a dealbreaker, though, as the platform’s overall ease and stellar support more than makeup for it!

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

I appreciate the ability for my employees to control their time tracking, PTO requests, benefits, etc.  It's easy for me to approve hours and PTO.  I also like having it all under one site that's easy to access.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

For weekly pay periods, there is a tiny window of time to approve hours.  If there's a holiday somewhere in there, I have to submit approvals before the week is even finished... leaving me to guess the hours for Friday and Saturday.  It's very stressful working around holidays.  If the weekly payroll could be offset by one week, that would make my job much, much easier.  Also, two of us have been told to expect modified W-2s, but it's May, and we still have not received them.  This is costing me money with my accountant, which is disappointing.

Timetracking is done through an app that my employees manage.  I like not having to do anything other than approve them at the end of the week.

I love that Justworks is an all in one platform that is extremely user friendly and makes the HR process a breeze! Entering time every 2 weeks takes less than 5 minutes and I am able to view all my important documents, holidays, time off requests, team members in one place. I especially also like their training modules on important workplace topics because they are engaging.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

It is hard to find a downside to using Justworks as it is such a helpful platform. I dislike having to sign in using Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), however I know this helps protect my security and I like that I can remember the device for a set period of time to avoid the frequency of having to do MFA

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to enter time easily is one solution that Justworks offers to our organization as well as being able to have an easy way in which to have documents signed by our organization's users is helpful. Justworks also affords us the ability to approve time off and make requests for them on there as well.

Justworks has significantly simplified our payroll process. Salaried payroll runs automatically, saving time and reducing manual work. The platform is extremely user-friendly and easy to train others on. Implementation was such a breeze.

Their customer service is outstanding—whether I reach out via Slack or email, the team is always helpful and quick to respond. We made the switch from Paylocity to Justworks and I wish I would have done it sooner!

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

We use the USCIS website for E-Verify, so our I-9s are completed outside of Justworks. I do wish there were an option to disable the I-9 workflow within the platform, though I understand that might not be ideal from a compliance standpoint. That said, Justworks is very responsive about removing system prompts once we upload a completed I-9, which helps keep things clean and organized.

As a one-person team, I had little time to spare—and our previous payroll provider only made things worse. I spent more time fixing platform errors than actually completing the work. Since switching to Justworks, I’ve been able to automate key tasks, freeing me up to focus on higher-impact priorities.

Justworks has been a lifesaver for our team. It's honestly just way easier than juggling a bunch of different systems - we get our payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s,  PTO tracking, etc. in one spot. Their support team actually responds when you need help (what a concept!), and we don't have to stress about compliance issues. The whole experience from getting new people set up to handling departures is pretty smooth too. I use it several times a day!

Some of the admin tools feel limited or clunky — for example, bulk actions, document management, or org visibility aren’t as flexible as we’d like.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Justworks is helping us consolidate and streamline several core HR functions including payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee onboarding. This reduces manual work and context switching between tools, which saves time and reduces errors. It also ensures we stay compliant with state and federal regulations as a remote team across multiple states.

The built-in support for benefits enrollment and renewals simplifies what used to be a complex and time-consuming process, and the automated payroll and tax filings give us peace of mind. Having a centralized place for team info, org charts, and time off tracking also makes it easier to manage day-to-day operations and support employees with fewer internal tools or spreadsheets.

Justoworks handles all of our payroll needs. We did sign on to the  PEO format and that gives us some peace of mind that Justworks is responsible for some of the regulatory and HR requirements. Their platform is extremely easy to use and myself and my employees are able to navigate easily through the payroll platform to find reports, data, and change various forms etc. They also do a great job with renewal of our benefits making so easy for me and my employees to complete the process.

What I really appreciate about Justworks is how everything I need is centralized in one platform. So Everything is organized with just works, i can see the people who i work with, calendars marked with events, holidays, and knowing if one of our workers takes a PTO. And also Sick days is easily accessible with just setting the dates and will be sent to your supervisor or boss easily. I use to check JUST WORKS everytime to see the calendar and holidays.

Software: Software is slighlty more usable than all other PEO's. It doesn't do much, but it's not difficult to navigate.
Pricing: Pricing is much more transparent than most PEO providers.

In general, it's not the WORST PEO ever, but I would not recommend JustWorks to any of my peers.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

- Poor Benefits Quality: Depth and breadth of benefits offerings, especially medical, is poor.  
- Poor Support Service Stratgy: All of our account managers have been dedicated and professional. However, JustWorks' service model is such that your representatives are service/sales people, not experts in payroll, tax, benefits or compliance. You cannot directly connect with relevant experts when you need help. Tax issues are often unresolved as a result. Thankfully we've had few other issues with sensitive areas, but I have no confidence that JustWorks has staff with deep expertise in these areas if an issue did arise.
- No real HRIS functionality: Most PEO's don't have decent HRIS features, but my predecsccors selected JustWorks because the software looked/felt better than other PEO's. This is true, but there is very little onboarding and reporting functionality.
- Poor Benefits Implementation: Open enrollment and other benefits implementation is self-serve. No expert support in modeling benefit coverage options. I had to fight to get the minimal support I received, which was far below the basic level of service I expect from a PEO or benefits provider.

Compared to other HR platforms I've used in other companies, it is much easier to access my information in Justworks (wages, PTO, etc.). The app is very easy to use (and I had limited success with apps in the past as well). The times I've needed support, response times have been very fast as well. When I was brought into the company, setting up Justworks was very straightforward. Since I'm a new hire, I've had to log into Justworks fairly regularly, and the amount of things I can access from within their system has made my onboarding relatively painless.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

Periodically, the app/site is down, but I'm likely noticing that more than most simply because I'm a relatively new hire still nailing down some things. It's not often and doesn't last a long time.

Justworks' UI/UX is very intuitive, requiring minimal effort from the user when in search of different resources or pieces of HR information. The app is especially helpful, allowing me to easily access these things even when I'm not on my business computer.

That everyone doesn't have them. But actually, I mistakenly signed up for the wrong commuter benefit instead of transit benefit. The money paid isn't transferable and have no way of using it. But it was probably my error when signing up.

I've had excellent experiences with Justworks customer service.  Recently, I needed to make a change to my benefits.  It's nice to have real people along the way walking you through the process.  Christy was an excellent help on the phone explaining the process.  The portal was really easy to use and clear about what was required.  After I submitted, Kate emailed me almost right away explaining the next steps and giving me a timeline for resolution.  I replied to her email late at night, and she responded within 20 minutes (even though her email stated the normal business hours of their live customer service).  I really appreciated that.  They've made this process of adjusting my benefits much easier and less intimidating than it seemed initially.  Thanks, Justworks team!

Logging back on to add that another experience with the customer service team was AWESOME!  Was working to take advantage of some of the additional benefits- including retirement planning and wellness benefits.  Really eye-opening to see all of the resources at our disposal- and really appreciate the JW team for walking me through it!

I really like using Justworks as a platform. It’s incredibly easy to navigate and has a very user-friendly design. One of the features I find most helpful is how well it handles employee document storage and distribution—being able to send documents out to all employees efficiently is a huge plus. I also appreciate how easy it is to track W2 information and pay stubs, not just for myself but for the team members I manage as well. Overall, the interface feels clean and intuitive, which makes day-to-day HR tasks much smoother.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

One recurring issue is with our temporary employees—PTO is automatically added to their accounts on their one year anniversary even though they receive all their PTO as a lump sum at the start of their term. Since they shouldn’t be accruing PTO over time, this creates confusion and extra administrative work. Additionally, I wish the platform was more integrated. Currently, I have to approve timesheets through Justworks Time Tracking and then log in separately to the main Justworks site to approve PTO. Even though both use the same login credentials, having to switch between two different platforms for related tasks feels inefficient. It would be much better if everything were unified under a single interface.

That was a bit of a weird situation because the account manager at Justworks could only speak directly with my account manager, not me, about the issue. Just made more work for our internal employee to have to go-between and it was awkward.

The implementation process was straight forward and quick. The platform is intuitive and really helps reduce the time spent trying to get answers for our team. **What do you like best about Justworks?**

I like that it has everything that I need, and that includes a way to access any necessary trainings that I need to complete. It's very easy to use and navigate. I've also had to contact them to re-open my enrollment because I picked the wrong plan, and they quickly fixed the issue for me so that I could start over. I check it regularly to see upcoming holidays and days off, as well as pay days. Love that I can export the Justworks calendar to google calendar, too.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

The only issue that I've had is when I visit on mobile (without the app), it's not responsive and designed for a mobile experience. I don't always want to download an app for everything.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At previous jobs I've had an issue finding documents, holidays and days off, and pay day was not always following a specific schedule, so sometimes they would come by surprise or I'd have to ask. With Justworks I don't have to ask about any of these things because the information is readily available.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

Justworks is a platform that operates with a high level of integrity and consistency. There are a lot of technical offerings to choose from now for companies.  Justworks is a platform that gives a company peace of mind and needs no hand holding or managing in the process.  They are also are very responsive when needed and all of their employees are extremely knowledgeable.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

There is not much I can think of. In the 6 years I have worked with them, I have had little to no headaches.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps streamline a variety of HR processes since we hire people globally. We use them both for the EOR and PEO.

**What do you like best about Justworks?**

- Easy, clean interface. 
-Seamless integration with our existing system (very easy to off-board our previous system)
-Customer Support has responded to me via email super quickly every time I've had a question or concern. 
-I use Justworks every day, we clock/out using it and submit our time off requests via Justworks. 
-We administer benefits via just works and the amount of options we are presented with are great.

**What do you dislike about Justworks?**

-One of the benefits we had abruptly ended and we didn't get any information about it ending or warning that it was happening.

**What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to adhere to local laws in terms of breaks and hours worked etc. 
Allows us to pay employees in other countries. 
Allows us to clock in/out 
Allows us to offer benefits to all of our employees regardless of state/location/country
