"Fuel50: User-Friendly, Flexible Career Development with Outstanding Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Fuel50?

I think Fuel50 has been an excellent platform for supporting career and skills development. Our account manager, Kristen, has been fantastic, and everyone we’ve worked with at Fuel50 has been consistently supportive, responsive, and easy to partner with.

The platform itself is very user-friendly, with strong UI/UX that makes it straightforward for both employees and managers to navigate and get real value from the features available. This has helped drive solid engagement and adoption across the business.

I personally love the journey's feature, it helps people to view other roles in the business that they may be a good match for, which they've never thought of before. I also think the goals and objectives feature is one of my favourites as it's helped me with my own personal development.

We’ve also found the platform to be highly flexible. It’s been easy to make changes so it aligns with our values and purpose, rather than feeling like a one-size-fits-all solution. The Fuel50 team is always open to feedback and willing to adapt based on what we need.

Our integration with SuccessFactors has worked well overall and has enabled us to scale effectively. While we do occasionally run into small issues, the support team responds quickly and resolves them, which makes a big difference.

Support more broadly has been a real strength. Kristen and the wider team are collaborative and proactive, and they consistently help us find solutions. The onboarding process and the ongoing partnership have also made it much easier for us to implement the platform and continue evolving it over time.

Finally, it’s been great to see the continued development of AI within the platform. The AI-recommended skills, in particular, have been a real time-saver and help surface skills we might not have identified otherwise. The planned enhancements in this area are genuinely exciting. What do you dislike about Fuel50?

While we’ve had a very positive overall experience with Fuel50, we’ve also run into a few challenges along the way, mainly around integrations and data accuracy.

At times, we’ve experienced integration errors with SuccessFactors that can pause the data flow and affect how roles are updated in the platform. This can be disruptive, especially when we’re relying on those updates to keep everything current. That said, it’s something we’ve been working through together, and it continues to improve.

We also encountered a recent issue where skills blueprints weren’t updating correctly. As a result, some roles were published without skills assigned, which had a knock-on effect on features like journeys and the overall user experience. Employees in those roles weren’t able to see the skills needed for their position. This has now been resolved, but it did highlight how dependent certain parts of the platform are on accurate backend updates.

Overall, while these issues have been impactful at times, they’ve typically been resolved quickly with support from the Fuel50 team, and we’ve seen continued improvement as the platform evolves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fuel50 Unifies Skills, Mobility, and Workforce Planning in One Platform"
4/5
What do you like best about Fuel50?

Fuel50 provides a strong foundation for supporting our intent to move to a skills‑based org by giving us a common skills language and clear visibility of capability across the organisation. It supports personalised development, internal mobility, and workforce planning in a single platform, with solid integration into our core HR and learning systems. Importantly, it enables employees to take greater ownership of their development while giving leaders better data to make informed talent decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fuel50?

Fuel50 requires a meaningful upfront investment in skills architecture, data governance, and change management to realise its full value. The platform is powerful, but not a plug‑and‑play solution—organisations need to be clear on their talent and mobility strategy and support adoption over time. Some advanced use cases (such as gigs and broader mobility) take longer to mature and depend heavily on organisational readiness rather than the technology alone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of Fuel50

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review of Fuel50 on G2!

We’re delighted that Fuel50 is helping you build a skills-based organisation, giving you a common skills language, clearer visibility of capability, and a single platform for personalised development, internal mobility, and workforce planning. It’s great to hear that employees are taking more ownership of their development and that leaders have better data to make talent decisions.

We appreciate your feedback about the upfront investment in skills architecture, data governance, and change management - these elements can indeed be complex and often take time to fully develop, and we’re committed to providing the guidance and resources needed to support that journey over time.

We’re thrilled that you’re seeing outcomes like stronger internal mobility, more targeted development, and better workforce planning. Thank you again for your partnership and for sharing your experience.

"Comprehensive Career Pathing with Robust Skill Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Fuel50?

I love Fuel50 for so many things, but best would be Skill Inventory, and the alpha products within it, like Skill Harmonization, which have been especially useful. Fuel50 has become the only platform where staff can see their career progression options. The new Skill Inventory has been an amazing tool for updating and adding skills. I also appreciate how the Skill Harmonization feature has made consolidating our systems easier, especially given our specific skill requirements across different disciplines. The integration capabilities with tools like Salary.com, iCIMS, and Oracle are effective, allowing seamless role data exchange and skill updates. We initially bought Fuel50 for its enterprise-level mentoring platform and have significantly expanded its use to include a full skill library and detailed role mapping. Starting small made the initial setup smooth, and our expansion over time has been successful. I highly recommend Fuel50 because it's been meeting the needs of our institute from day one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fuel50?

We had trouble implementing Gigs several years ago, but that was mainly due to internal issues with the time commitment for a gig host. However, this was before gigs went through a redesign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of Fuel50

Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful review of Fuel50 — we truly appreciate it!

We’re so glad to hear that the Skill Inventory and Skill Harmonization are helping you manage your unique skill requirements, simplify system consolidation, and give your people one place to explore their career progression options and keep their skills up to date.

It’s also great to hear that our integrations with Salary.com, iCIMS, and Oracle are working smoothly and making role and skill data updates easier for your team.

Thank you again for sharing your experience with Fuel50 and how the platform is supporting your staff — we really appreciate your feedback.

4/5
What do you like best about Fuel50?

I have a career consulting business, and I have found Fuel50 an invaluable tool for helping people recognize their inherent talents and abilities, their career drivers, and their deeply held values. It's an easy, user-friendly tool that people engage with quickly and relate to well. It expedites the career coaching process, enabling people to gain useful insights in a much-reduced period of time. I highly recommend Fuel50. It's engaging for people to use and the reports are insightful, making the career coaching process clearer and expediting understanding for the user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fuel50?

I find the talents and skills tool the least valuable one. I'm not sure how that could be improved, but that is the one that I get the least value from with people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use HRIS Integration with a Rich Skill Taxonomy and Responsive Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Fuel50?

The Fuel50 platform is easy to use and integrates well with our internal HRIS system. The curated skill taxonomy includes a diverse range of skills that a complex business like ours can accommodate. The team at Fuel50 is also always ready to help with questions and to build on our thinking as we continue to develop our approach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Game Changer for Career Growth and Development"
5/5
What do you like best about Fuel50?

Fuel50 is a fantastic career development platform that truly helps individuals understand their strengths and translate them into meaningful career growth opportunities. It makes it easy to identify the skills you both excel at and genuinely enjoy, then connects those insights to potential lateral moves, stretch assignments, or future career paths within your organization.

What I love most is how it encourages real conversations — not just self-assessment. It helps you identify people within your company to connect with, so you can learn firsthand about their roles, challenges, and what it takes to be successful in them.

The platform produces easy-to-read reports that you can share and discuss with your supervisor, making it much simpler to align on career development goals, learning priorities, and projects that showcase your transferable skills across departments.

Fuel50 turns career conversations into actionable plans and opens up visibility into opportunities that may have otherwise gone unnoticed. It’s an invaluable tool for anyone serious about career growth, internal mobility, and creating a culture of continuous development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fuel50?

Currently, there is only a one-way API from our HRIS system. I would prefer if the output could be automatically integrated into each employee's record, especially for mandatory performance reviews and development plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of Fuel50

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review and for sharing what’s working and where we can improve.

We’re thrilled that Fuel50 is helping you identify strengths, spark meaningful career conversations, and turn those into clear, actionable development plans with your manager. It’s great to hear the reports and in‑platform connections are supporting mobility across your organization.

We truly appreciate your partnership and your input — it helps us build a better experience for you and your people!

"Great platform overall but could use some work on the UI"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Fuel50?

What I love about Fuel50 is how it personalises career development. It’s like having a friendly guide showing you potential career paths and the skills you need to get there. It aligns personal goals with company needs, making employees feel valued while helping businesses grow a motivated workforce.

The platform encourages proactive skill-building. For leaders, it provides valuable insights into employee interests and skill gaps, making it easier to make informed decisions about training and mentorship.

Overall, Fuel50 fosters a culture of continuous growth, helping retain top talent by nurturing their potential and driving performance. It’s all about creating a win-win scenario for both employees and organisations.

The F50 team were great during implenentation, keeping us informed all the way. Regular meetings meant that both parties knew exactly where they were.

The custom support team is very good. Easy to contact and quick to reply. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fuel50?

One aspect I dislike about Fuel50 is the navigation. It often feels like there are too many clicks required to get to where you want to go. The path to finding specific features or information isn’t always clear, making it sometimes frustrating to use. Simplifying the user journey would significantly enhance the overall experience.

For example, to review one of my skills, from the home page, it's Personalise (tab) > Personalize (button) > scroll half way down and click a tiny "Review" link. If you don't know what you're doinf, finding this would be pretty difficult. As the platform is aimed at user skill review, this should be front and center. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of Fuel50

Thank you for sharing your thoughtful review of Fuel50! It’s fantastic to hear how our platform is helping personalise career development and align employee aspirations with business needs. We love that you’re finding value in the proactive skill-building and leadership insights Fuel50 provides, and we’re especially pleased to hear that our team supported you effectively during implementation.

We also appreciate your feedback regarding navigation. User experience is a top priority for us, and we’ll be passing your comments along to our product team as we continue to refine and enhance the platform.

Thanks again for your review and for being a valued Fuel50 customer—we’re grateful for your support!

"Good engagement tool, but issues with large-scale management"
3/5
What do you like best about Fuel50?

The engagement tools - the profile and session notes tools - have a lot of potential for managers who take advantage of them. The way I explain it is that this is your opportunity to tell your manager what's important to you and what you're looking for from your career, and I've heard from managers who get a lot out of looking at employees' values, motivators, etc. It's a little intimidating for some employees at first, but once they start using it, very few have issues. It's easy to navigate and pretty intuitive, so even for our tech-averse population it's a viable tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fuel50?

The lack of down chain visibility and reporting limitations are a major issue. We a) have a good number of dotted line reporting situations where relevant managers don't have coaching tools available for employees, and b) have a managerial culture that wants to be able to see profiles and data down multiple levels. We've developed some internal reporting to address some of that, but it was a months long process of back and forth with Fuel50 support to get the data and access we needed to create our own reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of Fuel50

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback! We're so pleased to hear that Fuel50’s engagement tools are helping managers and employees connect more meaningfully around their careers. It’s great to know that even those who may be hesitant at first find the platform intuitive and valuable over time.

We appreciate your insights regarding reporting and visibility challenges. We understand how important it is to have the right level of access for different leadership structures, and we value your patience in working through solutions. Your feedback is incredibly valuable as we continue to enhance our reporting capabilities, and we will be sure to pass this onto our product team for their visibility.

It’s fantastic to hear that Fuel50 is helping you document goal completion, support performance development, and foster a more engaged workforce. We’re excited to continue supporting your journey and are always here to help!

Thanks again for your thoughtful review—we appreciate your partnership!

"Employee at the centre of it all"
4/5
What do you like best about Fuel50?

I love Fuel50's approach to their user experience, they put the employee at the centre of their design and this makes it simple to use. Implementing this product, syncing it to our workforce architecture has been easy to do because of their in-house experts. Fuel50's after sales service have been easy to work with. We have well over 70% of employees returning to the product, showing the value they find with the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fuel50?

Though the integration with our primary employee database was done, they can do better with API integration for reporting purposes. We are currently relying on SFTP protocols which is not the most effective or secure approach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of Fuel50

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Fuel50! We're thrilled to hear that you love our employee-centric design and that implementation has been smooth with the support of our wonderful team. It’s fantastic to see such strong employee engagement with the platform—over 70% returning is a great indicator of value!

We also appreciate your constructive feedback on API integration for reporting. Your insights are incredibly valuable, and we’ll be passing this along to our product team as we continue to enhance our capabilities.

"Career Development Holistic Tool"
5/5
What do you like best about Fuel50?

The platform offers a great mentoring module, a talent marketplace, career assessment tools but also personalized career pathways... It is unique to have access to all these functions in one place. The UX is far better than other platforms we have. 80% of our users are coming back after a first visit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fuel50?

The quality of data in the organization is an important requirement. The mentoring module cannot be segmented as we wish. The platform needs to innovate now by integrating a CV review module or AI coaching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of Fuel50

Thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re delighted to hear that Fuel50 is delivering value to your organization. It’s great to see such high user engagement—an 80% return rate is a fantastic testament to the platform’s impact!

We also appreciate your suggestions for future innovation, including segmentation in the mentoring module and AI-driven enhancements. Feedback like this is invaluable, and we’ll be passing it along to our product team as we continue to evolve the platform.

Thanks again for your review and for being a valued Fuel50 partner!
