What do you like best about Fuel50?

Fuel50 is a fantastic career development platform that truly helps individuals understand their strengths and translate them into meaningful career growth opportunities. It makes it easy to identify the skills you both excel at and genuinely enjoy, then connects those insights to potential lateral moves, stretch assignments, or future career paths within your organization.

What I love most is how it encourages real conversations — not just self-assessment. It helps you identify people within your company to connect with, so you can learn firsthand about their roles, challenges, and what it takes to be successful in them.

The platform produces easy-to-read reports that you can share and discuss with your supervisor, making it much simpler to align on career development goals, learning priorities, and projects that showcase your transferable skills across departments.

Fuel50 turns career conversations into actionable plans and opens up visibility into opportunities that may have otherwise gone unnoticed. What do you dislike about Fuel50?

Currently, there is only a one-way API from our HRIS system. I would prefer if the output could be automatically integrated into each employee's record, especially for mandatory performance reviews and development plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good engagement tool, but issues with large-scale management"
What do you like best about Fuel50?

The engagement tools - the profile and session notes tools - have a lot of potential for managers who take advantage of them. The way I explain it is that this is your opportunity to tell your manager what's important to you and what you're looking for from your career, and I've heard from managers who get a lot out of looking at employees' values, motivators, etc. It's a little intimidating for some employees at first, but once they start using it, very few have issues. It's easy to navigate and pretty intuitive, so even for our tech-averse population it's a viable tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fuel50?

The lack of down chain visiblity and reporting limitations are a major issue. We a) have a good number of dotted line reporting situations where relevant managers don't have coaching tools available for employees, and b) have a managerial culture that wants to be able to see profiles and data down multiple levels. We've developed some internal reporting to address some of that, but it was a months long process of back and forth with Fuel50 support to get the data and access we needed to create our own reports.
