I started using it directly for my clinic work. I use it regularly to check patient records, update diet charts and manage content files. The inbuilt Pdf editor is very useful for my work. Many times I need to edit diet charts or update patient reports, and I can do it directly here without downloading again, which saves time. file sharing is also easy. I can quickly send diet plans, reports or even videos to patients or staff using a link, which makes communication simple. Search option also helps when there are many files. If I make changes in a file, I can still go back to older version which is useful sometimes. Performance is good, files open fast and it does not feel slow even with multiple folders. Number of features is enough for daily work like folder management, sharing, Pdf editing and version control, not too complicated. It also works well with Google Docs and MS Office files, so integration feels smooth. overall it feels stable and reliable. It helps me manage my clinic data and health content in a simple and organized way. **What do you dislike about Egnyte?** when I upload multiple files or bigger folders, it sometimes takes a little more time depending on internet, so I have to wait till everything is uploaded properly. The native search feature in MacOS Finder now also searches Egnyte file folders, which makes in a lot easier to find documents without the need to open Egnyte's web application. **What do you dislike about Egnyte?** This is a minor issue that has a big impact, but I am finding that users are not paying attention to the alert from Egnyte that their files have not uploaded due to unsupported characters, or most commonly trailing spaces. If there was a way to have a more immediate pop up error when a user tries to save an unsupported file name in Finder, that would be a good improvement. **Recommendations to others considering Egnyte:** This has been the best server managment decision we made. Right now I cant find anything to like about them **What do you dislike about Egnyte?** Do not get into bed with this company. I loved them until I tried to leave them. We had a situation come up that forced us to switch our provider (not Egnyte's fault, very restrictive terms from one of our software companies that would not connect with Egnyte), and I notified them 10 days before our renewal. Citing some 30-day cancellation period from the terms I read when I signed up with them at least 5 years ago, they insist on billing me for another year, as I was on annual billing. Told them I understood if they had 30-day terms, then please take me to monthly billing and then cancel after 30 days. Nope, wont do that. must pay for the full next year even though I won't be using it at all and spent an entire weekend getting my data off there. Egnyte was good for storage of non personal information, never had any issues with their product. It was a good and easy way for us to store our training products without chewing up space on our server.
