Powerful, yet light weight mobile app crash reporting solution.

## Crashlytics Reviews
  ### 1. Crashlytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Moriessa J. | Customer Service Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

What I like most about this app is that it gives you in depth information about the crashes that may happen on a daily basis and helps you prioritize and fix your most pervasive crashes

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

What I dislike most about this app is that it is very transparent as to how to actually set it up properly as there are many ways to do so, however, these ways are usually outdated

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem this app solves is that it helps with application monitoring and it also helps realtime app performance and live crash reports which helps a lot in day to day work.

  ### 2. back tracing and debugging crashes become simple

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Unnath W. | Senior Android Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

gives the crash log from all the users who experienced crashes across the market and helps with fixing and making a better product

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

userflow along with crash log might help us better to reproduce the crash log easily and debugging goes even simple

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

use it wisely and improve performance of your implementations

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

app crashes on mobile devices

  ### 3. Crash reports for mobile

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter K. | Marketing consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

I like how easy is to have an overview of the crashes. It provides statistics regarding each crash, like number of times it happened, device information, OS version. You can see the threads and get symbolicated results from the UI. If a bug gets fixed then you can close them from the UI. The best what I like is the email alerts, so if you have a crash which happens more often it will send email alerts so you won't have a chance to miss it.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

On the other side, I really don't like the way how dsym files are handled. A developer have to manually upload after each build.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are monitoring the number of crashes in our product for debug and release builds too.

  ### 4. The best portal to analyze crash logs for mobile apps.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

It provides all the details related to the crash. Not only the stack trace but also the mobile device, app version, OS version, etc. This precise information helps developers to debug crashes easily.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

There is nothing to translate as the text is already in English. "Nothing as of now. Everything is good about this."

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Analyzing production crash logs

  ### 5. Easy to use and free!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel O. | Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

It's really easy to use (even with the Firebase acquisition it's still pretty simple), it's a good and light weight crash report tool, beta deployment is really useful.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Crashlytics Beta has no open API to download deployments. Non crash logs can take a really long time to be uploaded

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Be mindful of the Firebase migration, some features are not yet fully implemented and part of the documentation is missing. Other than that this is a great service they provide

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crash reporting, analytics, Beta deployment

  ### 6. Crash Reporting Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua D. | Developer, Computer Networking, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2018

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

The best part about the Fabric experience is that it is free and has most of the features of other Enterprise software. Integration takes minutes.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

There isn't too much to hate about Crashlytics. I have no problems with this software.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

It's free and easy to integrate. Do it.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We get crash reports and uptime reports for all of our apps. This allows me to sometimes resolve bugs before many users notice a problem.

  ### 7. Instant crash reports

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prabin T. | Android SDE, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2017

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

It is easy to setup into your mobile app. Crash logs are instantly uploaded to the fabric.io website.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Many times crash logs by themselves are not so helpful. In that case it is necessary to log custom key-value pairs using Crashlytics sdk. For e.g. you can possibly log the paths taken by the user to the moment the crash occurred. This can be tricky in many cases.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Crashlytics is free and very useful for instant bug reports along with device information and crash logs. It is like firebase, that why google acquired Fabric/Crashlytics. So, stay tuned for more awesome crash reports.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Get instant notification when there is a crash in our production app. Since there are varieties of android devices in the market, crashlytics provides useful information in crash logs that can guide the developer on how to reproduce the bug.

  ### 8. Excellent crash reporting tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liz H. | Test Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

New builds can be distributed for internal and UAT testing quick and effectively. Requires minimal learning to utilise and provides valuable feedback for developers

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Nothing of note; the necessity to add UDID is frustrating when distributing builds to IOS devices but this primarily is a limitation of apple's design, not necessarily a lack of work around by Crashlytics.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It ensures we're able to manage the testing of apps more effectively and have seen excellent crash feedback reported back to the development team.

  ### 9. Awesome Product!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishant S. | Software Engineer/Founding Team Member, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Crashlytics is one stop solution for App developers. It gives accurate results and the Fabric Plugin for the IDE (Android Studio) makes integration such a breeze. Over the course of time Crashlytics has evolved not just as a tool for handling crashes in the app, but with improved dashboard and an accompanying app to keep tab on issues as they happen , it has only progressed in the forward direction becoming better with every passing day.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

The product is flawless in my view, but obviously nothing is perfect. Crashlytics api can be made a bit more simpler regarding tracking custom events as well as the documentation can be improved too. The documentation regarding the debug builds can be improved as I think its the one that most people search for on google. One more thing I think in event tracking it would be great if one can get detailed information for a specific device id.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Crashlytics is very well managed product. Its helped me to diagnose some of the unexpected errors in time and thus allowing us to be bette. This product is easy to setup and provides detailed information regarding the issues your app will experience once it goes live. Since its free , there should not be any reason for you to try it out.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a photo manipulation app that uses Native Development Kit. Which means that it can have some new issues come up even when we have pushed a fully functional product to playstore. Thats when crashlytics comes in and it provides us well segmented information about the issues that happen in our pushed apk. We are able to debug the problem right to the very core and thus fix it leading to an improved app with each passing day.

  ### 10. Great for monitoring app crashes and improving stability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2017

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

1) Per App Crash Data: We have multiple apps, it's easy to know what's happening in each of those apps
2) Easy to configure and integrate
3) Could be integrated with Slack
4) Real time Data

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

1) We have some android applications that are built using Eclipse, recently Crashlytics has moved to Android Studio for integration. It would be nice if they support Eclipse as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

It's easy to configure. Make sure to consolidate all your apps under a single account.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We provide consumer applications on Google Play Store and Apple itunes.

  ### 11. Most Detailed Crash Analytics SDK We've Used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave D. | Director & Project Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Level of detail. It's phenomenal. Many of our team didn't even realize that there was so much detail available in the SDK.

The SDK is super light. Suspiciously light for the power. Custom keys are incredibly useful and became a huge part of our workflow.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Had some difficulty tracing a lot of the Null Pointer Exceptions despite being assured that these were practically gimmies. Get Activity confusion.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Crashlytics, Appsee and GTM. We've tried most, and this is what we, and most of our peers, settled on.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A client of ours had 50+ apps for different regions with poor ratings (<3) on the Play Store almost universally. Force Close errors were the most common reported and crashes across disparate, fragmented OS versions. We test on 30 physical devices from Gingerbread to Marshmallow and had these sewn up. Unfortunately, the poor reviews kept coming.

Crashlytics allowed us to easily roll out some easy fixes to temporarily appease ~10% of the userbase as we added the SDK. The data we got back was staggering and quite a surprise. If you think 30 devices is enough to push live on with 0 crashes, you need to think again. Crashlytics allowed us to reduce poor legacy code based crashes to less than 10% of devices across the board. Ultimately, it took only two more releases to bring about the required changes to consider the issue resolved. Not a chance we could have done this with any other SDK.

  ### 12. Crash Analytics made easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sorabh S. | Head Of Development, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Tracking app crashes and getting analytics like Line # File name etc is one of the most important aspect we look into our products, so that maintenance becomes easier. Crashlytics just solved our problem with a par.

Its just so easy to integrate, and adding NSError to catch block (just one line of code can do the magic)
After getting integrated with fabric.io it has added a array of options to check for app health, and a range of analytics.

Most liked feature is its app, that brings all your insights on your mobile

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

5/5 Just superb. There's nothing although in this product that you gonna dislike, but I miss its support for blackberry and windows phone.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are having few b2b products that we are using for enterprise mobility. And enterprise apps do need to have a level of sturdiness and a powerful mechanism to report crashes and analytics. Crashlytics serves them all

  ### 13. Crashlytics is a must have for mobile applications!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurent R. | Software Engineer, Events Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

First of all, it's free! It's great to have a product that works, is useful, but that is free and now supported by a huge tech company (Twitter). The features are great; you get notified when you have bugs in your application, it sends you a stack trace, and it escalates to a new level once a certain threshold is reached. The stack trace is also very useful since it is sometimes hard to know where the bug is coming from without it

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Honestly, there isn't anything I don't like about Crashlytics.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Definitely use it not only in production, but also in development when sending beta builds to your users. Although it is still useful to get your testers to send you detailed instructions on how to reproduce bugs, it is great to be alerted automatically with the stack trace.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crashlytics allows us to be alerted in real time (or very near real time) when our app crashes in development or production. this allows us to react much quicker to bugs, without having to have users reach out to us and tell us how to got to the bug

  ### 14. Almost perfect crash reporting, easy to integrate

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samuel D. | Android Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

The integration is super easy and fast to setup. I love how they guided me through all steps.

One of the nicest features is that they show deobfuscated stack traces. This is even more awesome since their Gradle plugin automatically takes care of uploading the mapping file each time you build.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

On Android, versions are not merged based on versionName. For multi-APK builds, you then have to switch between multiple reports to see the crash that is of interest to you.

One other thing we noticed is that their user/session reports are way lower that what we see in other tools. GA is consistently 30-40% higher and our in-house reports show the same. We decided not to trust these numbers for the time being.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Their crash reporting tool is simply amazing, but the number their Answers reports show is way under what our other analytic platforms report. We don't trust their Answers reports.

Since their solution is free, I would recommend using it at least for the crash reporting part.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We keep track of crashes and are able to fix them quickly. We also use Crashlytics to monitor the performance of our new versions while doing staged rollout.

  ### 15. Essential tool used in all of our apps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin O. | Director, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Integrating Crashlytics in an iOS app is really easy. Also love the fact Fabric provide a mobile app where you can check your dashboards, and be notified when new issues arise, or when existing issues become critical. We've found the integrations they provide with Jira and Slack very useful, and finally the readability and grouping of crash reports is top notch. In addition, documentation is solid and the ability to manually upload missing dSyms has proven to be a lifesaver on a number of occasions.
Oh, and did I mention it's FREE?!

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

The original integration process via the Crashlytics desktop app left somewhat to be desired. However now that they support Cocoapods, this has been vastly simplified. Not much to dislike about Crashlytics, really.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Numerous other tools out there provide crash reporting. None tried so far match the quality and ease of integration of Fabric.

Definitely recommend integrating this into your app using Cocoapods.

If your app is Bitcode enabled, Apple regenerate the dSyms when releasing to the App Store, so don't panic when Fabric tells you it has picked up crashes but dSyms are missing! You will need to manually upload your dSyms, which is an easy process.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As well as the crash reporting, Crashlytics (Fabric) provides valuable analytics via their Answers platform, which has helped us gain numerous insights into how users use our apps.

  ### 16. One of the best crash reporting tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kunal B. | Software Engineer, Internet, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Integration is very simple. No headache to manage DSYM files. Also very easy to collaborate and share crash reports across all developers. I haven't seen any duplicate crashes. It does a very good job or parsing and aggregating crash reports. Their iOS sdks is a very thin client. Integrates very seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

It doesn't track memory related crashes. The initial version was shipped with PLCrashreporter. Then they built an in-house crash reporter but it isn't any better than PLCrashreporter. It still can't track down when OS kills your app (memory crashes). Crash logs with jettisoned messages.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

One of the very commons scenario which most of the companies are looking for is sharing their data. They don't like 3rd party vendors. In that case QuincyKit my be your best option.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crash reporting for native apps.

  ### 17. Easy to integrate Crash and Error Reporting via the Fabric Development Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael R. | Athletic Therapist, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Besides the attractive price (free) Crashlytics is extremely easy to integrate into a mobile app so long as you are using the Fabric development platform. It was as simple as installing the crashlytics kit through Fabric. The other nice thing is error and crash reporting can be viewed through the Fabric dashboard eliminating another site to monitor. Also allows for Android deployment (I have no experience on this however).

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Crashlytics requires that you use the Fabric Development Platform which can be a downside if you aren't already using it. Also being free does raise concerns about future potential price increases,

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Crashlytics to monitor and record errors and application crashes with our custom electronic medical records and remote charting applications.

  ### 18. Crash reporting solution for mobile applications

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Powerful crash reporting solution on mobile devices with lots of information on the state of the device when crashes happen for easy debugging. Very easy integration.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Web applications is not very useful and does not provide whole lot of information

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

A must use crash reporting system for mobile applications, applicable for individual developers to big organizations.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Real time crash report analysis. Through constant monitoring of crashes, we can easy find the most important bug to go after so that we can drastically improve the user satisfaction.

  ### 19. Great and lightweight reporting tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pasca S. | Lead UX Designer, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

1. Very easy setup
2. Real time crash reporting
3. Can see how many user affected by the crash
4. Can see the state of user device
5. Can see crash impact report so we can prioritize which one to fix
6. Can be integrated with Appsee

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

User Interface sometimes can be overwhelming

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Its very lightweight and the integration is straightforward. Crash reporting is realtime and it is free! No body hurts right?

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want to minimize application crash. We do staged rollout and we need to get crash feedback as soon as possible. With crashlytics we can prevent major crashes to be rolled out to all of users.

It is easier for developer to understand the problem, since they can playback the scenario with appsee integration.

  ### 20. When something goes wrong, it's nice to have some answers

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darian R. | Senior Designer Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

I like that Crashlytics is easy to implement, and straightforward most part even for the beginning developer. You can get real time crash data from your apps that helps you decipher the issue facing your users without depending on the user. This is a big time saver and it lets you become aware of edge cases that you cannot test for yourself, especially with the number of different devices available nowadays.

I like that I can add people to the app that are not with my company making it easier to work with outside vendors.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Crash reports can sometimes be large and while they are usually helpful, sometimes the best they can tell you is that the cause was unknown.

The interface of the Fabric.io website, which has adopted the Crashlytics service is awful. I hate this website.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

I have not found any other product worth considering.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Real time crash monitoring
App stability tracking
Userbase and device install tracking

  ### 21. One of the best Crash reports apps out there!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emil N. | .NET Developer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

The level of details you are given about your crash reports is awesome! I love how there is always something new i find out abut my crash reports. I can easily get lost in all that data Crashlytics provides. I didn't even know there is so much things an app can say about a crash...

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

As i said you can easily get lost in all the provided data. I find the UI kinda confusing. Especially when i was new to the product i used to get lost all the time. I could easily find some really useless information while i couldn't find whatever i needed. Soon after that thankfully everything changed. Now i am used to the UI and it isn't that much of a problem..

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

This is a great tool. You won't be disappointed if you start using it! I would recommend it without hesitating.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting crash reports fr my mobile applications.

  ### 22. It's free! Use it in your mobile apps

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** F. Javier P. | Mobile Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

It's free! It's nearly real-time, and it's integrated into the Fabric.io platform, that includes a bunch of other useful tools for mobile developers. Existent documentation is great, and as is uses by a lot of developers, the community support is great too. It's easy to deploy, and easy to update when a new SDK is available. You can get it up a running in a handful of minutes.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Often, crash reports are poor. Little historic of data. Sometimes I've missed some crash data in iOS because the lack of uploaded DSYMs for this version, when it must be automatic. Crash reports aren't recorder prior that you see the error and you manually upload the corresponding DSYM. I didn't like that (at least in Mac) you need to have open all the time the Fabric.io desktop app.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Use it! It's getting better with each update

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mobile analytics in real time, crash reporting, user engagement

  ### 23. Good Bug Report Site

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luigi C. | Sviluppatore di software, Printing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

I like so much the site design, so simple but perfect for this thing. Crashlytics is trusted by thousands of companies and this is a good sponsor for this site. You can download the beta distributions of the apps by the delop team, this is another nice thing that I like so much. You can track and report the bugs in a few seconds, the domain is obviously high quality, the pages reload fast.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

I don't like so much the "free invite" from Crashlytics, this site need to improve that, you can request a free try without any secourity system (like credit card or something like that), some users can request it more times without pay anything.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

If you are an app developer and you need to track the bugs this is the site that can help you in a few seconds.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can track and resolve so much bugs with iOS and Android, with this site you can develop so much apps without bugs, I reccomend this site to the developers of Android, this site got so much bug resolving with Android.

  ### 24. easy testing and crash monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arief Bayu P. | Tukang Ketik, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

How easy it is to add another tester and also as a tester, it is easy to add multiple application. As tester, you will be given an activation url to an app you want to test. After added, you'll have one stop location to update the tested app once it is available. As developer, you just need to add email address of your tester.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

I don't think I have anything to dislike regarding crashlytics. It's pretty solid app. The only hickup is when you test ios application. To add another tester/devices, you will need to upload their UDID. Nothing we can do here, as it is the rule of Apple :|

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Using crashlytics, you will be able to manage who test what. When uploading an update, you can roll our to certain testers only or to whole group. You can also see an analytics of who received the update, who opened it, who install, etc. You will also receive statistics about how many open per day, how many crash per day, how severe is the crash, how many people see that crash, etc. There's also a hook that allow you to automatically upload new build to crashlytics for everytime you commit/push to repo, or anything that you might think of.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it solved how you test an app and also see every crash happened. Every time the app crash, you will get report. Not just a recap.

  ### 25. Best crash reporting on mobile. PERIOD.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Culls crashlogs by frequency and by user, so its very easy to identify what the REAL problems are, and not a slew of random crashes.

Device metrics such as free space / ram / orientation / etc. is a nice touch because it is difficult to replicate a users environment and having telemetry data like this helps developers understand the physical contributions to software problems.

Crashlytics Answers is a fantastic tool to easily see how many monthly and daily active users you have and how that growth is affecting your business. Very easy to tie it into Twitter Ad campaigns and measure real mobile engagement

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

No mobile app. Would be nice to be able to view crash and answers data straight from my mobile device while I'm on the go.

E-mail reporting can be better. Sending better roll up reports and allowing more granular control will help development managers and tech leads streamline and optimize.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Log every feature to see engagement. It is easy to setup.

Make sure you are monitoring your metrics every day. Cull crashes, reach out to users whom are affected, and release better.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding crashes for live users in the field is a tough problem, and addressing it before the issue becomes problematic is important for understanding how it impacts your existing customer base. Crashlytics is the only mobile solution that robustly gives you crash log data as well as usage data. Having both information allows developers and managers to make wise decisions on which bugs to fix, and what types of engagement are driving features in your app. The ultimate toolbox for mobile app analysis.

  ### 26. Perfect Crash Reporting Site

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

I like the real time improving of the graphics of the users. With this you can search and track the crash without spend too many times to find what you need. The menu is so simple and the graphic is basic, this is a nice site if you want to start tracking and report the crash of the apps.
I like the staff too, they are so much friendly and helpfull, this is the two important thing that a staff need to have.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

I don't like the menu, there is too few articles, it looks like the site is not organized so much.
Crashlytics need to improve that if he want to become the best, the site domain quality is not that good but thats ok, the band is so much and the users can track and report in fast time.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

If you need to track the crash of the apps this is a nice site that you can use.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solve some crash problems with my apps, you can use this site if you need to solve it. The menu is so simple and basic, that can help the new users.
The domain is so fast so you don't have any problems with the tracking and the reporting of the crash.

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

I like how quick and easy it is to report a crash. Helps make software and apps better for the future.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

I do not dislike anything about the software that I can think of at this time.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Nothing fully to recommend here, If your company needs a good error reporting software, this is the one to use. I have not had any issues or complaints with it in the time I have used or herd about it.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use it with groupon, paypal and waze if needed. It will help the software be more compatible, user friendly and good for everyone to use in the future.

  ### 28. Easy to integrate but not always easy to get the crash reports

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael G. | Co Founder & iOS Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

I like how it automatically uploads my dsyms when I create a new build and distribute it to my testers. I also like how easy it was to install and test that it is working.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Sometimes, it tells me there is a crash, but I can't always access the crash report. I also think the Fabric app used to upload the dsym and build has a confusing UI, and could probably be improved a lot more.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're building a video social network for iOS. The greatest benefit is understanding where the product is crashing and then being able to pinpoint the location of the crash.

  ### 29. Using it for all my apps

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jurgis K. | Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Instant notifications via email on new on app crashes. Good summary and analytics on crash statistics. Good crash details resolving. Easy to set up and use. Option to supply extra parameters for crash diagnostics.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Bundled with real time analytics that has significant impact on mobile device battery and network use.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Free product, easy to use and integrate. Good crash analytics. Comes with realtime app analytics bundled that may or may be not (if you already have analytics package integrated) what you want.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving quality of my apps. Tracking software problems and resolving them early.

  ### 30. Crashlytics is one of the awesome toll which I have used ever

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Real time crash reporting with source code line information.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

At the moment it serves what we wanted.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Use fabric app for app distribution, crash reporting (uses Crashlyctis) and analytics (uses answers). You can use Fastlane to automated distribution if you wish too.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes my iPhone app more stable which enhances user experince and crashes does not surprise user.

  ### 31. A wonderful Crash reporting software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javier M. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

The line per line crash logs are excellent, and the dedupping is pretty good. The analytics aren't incredible but they are fairly good.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

There is nothing I dislike, but analytics could be better and the framework installation / configuration is a bit fiddly,

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

The whole crashlyitcs suite is pretty good, and once you implement it you'll find a bunch of extra niceties without having to implement new frameworks.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crash reporting, bug fixing, but tracking (partially), bug prioritization, analytics.

  ### 32. Perfect for extended beta testing and making users happy

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Crashyltics bets feature is its merging of many similar crash reports into a single issue, and then the ease of being able to browse through the total data available to dig into the core of the issue.

The other grest feature is the mobile dashboard with push notifications. This way I can contact those beta users who have experienced crashes and get as much information from them as possible, and help fix issues for them.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Some of the information and stats given regarding crashes seem highly generalised and more for show than any useful purpose. This adds to the venal feeling that the UI is too consumer focused—developers might prefer denser information with less chrome.

More analysis could be done on the data, I often find the data views given quite basic. So much more could be done with it.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Try pulling out the data from Crashyltics in its raw form in order to perform additional analysis on it. There's a such a wealth of data going unanalysed.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The big change is the reducing in time to fixes for mission critical bugs, as well as the minor bugs that lead to reputation issues. The ability to get right onto crashes that might frustrate a user and let them know there's a fix straight away is a huge bonus too.

  ### 33. Very efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincenzo C. | CEO, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

I love real time stats and detailed crashes report. I also appreciated email notifications, crash statistics and the guided procedure for the integration of their SDK in an Android project. The overall experience with crashlytics was amazing.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Almost nothing, but even if it provides some analytics features, it's quite not complete as analytics tool, so you need to use it with other products.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We developed a personalized version of our product for a customer and we needed a system to track crashes without using the Play Store Developer Console. Crashlytics perfectly solved the problem, by reporting us all the problems since the development phase.

  ### 34. Crashlytics for Android Development

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin T. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Crashlytics is extremely easy to integrate into any Android project, and is invaluable when understanding app misbehavior.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

The interface for searching through logs feels slightly clunky.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Go for it. The setup is extremely simple and I would heartily recommend this to any Android developer. I will definitely use this for any client facing Android app. While I didn't find the analytics super useful, I cannot count the times that Crashlytics had saved us.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding app misbehaviour and across what versions. We've been able to isolate which versions were creating problems and from there work out where the issues where.

  ### 35. Best in the field

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony G. | Associate Game Engineer, Entertainment, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Crashlytics is best at quickly presenting the exact data I'm looking for and allowing me dig deeper without overwhelming me with UI options. Being able to sort data by releases is really useful to see how issues develop over time, and the graph representation is a perfect snapshot of how the app is performing.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Panning through individual crashes from a shared set can be difficult to navigate.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Client side crashes on iOS. We are able to quickly identify what our biggest issues are, look at the exact lines of code in which the issues are occurring, deploy a fix and watch as the issue goes away.

  ### 36. Best Crash reporting System

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adriano M. | Software Developer, Computer & Network Security, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Fully integrated with iOS and Android, easy to integrate and use. Integrated with Fabric.io, shows many informations about sessions and live data.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Not fully documented, already open issue doen't have notification

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

For my experience, is the best , easy to integrate with Android and iOS

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perfect crash tracking and solving, delivery beta apps to customers

  ### 37. Helpful Insights for your App!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael A. | Vice President Product Marketing, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Crashylitics is a core component of Twitter's Fabric mobile development suite. I love the instant notifications when crashes occur and the over analytics / information provided. It is also 100% free! This is great as we've we have a small budget for this app (with most of the dedicated $ going to developers and future marketing efforts).

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Nothing so far ... we're still beta testing our app and its been working great.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Definitely give it a go! It's free and works well!

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding what issues our app is having across a wide range of users / devices.

  ### 38. Great crash reporting solution for mobile apps

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Crashlytics is by far the best crash reporting tool I have used for mobile development. I have never seen a crash that wasn't caught by Crashlytics and uploaded almost immediately. The stack traces it provides are very convenient for debugging and fixing any crashes in your mobile app. It also provides useful metrics for determining the severity of an issue. For instance, the number of users affected by a crash. This knowledge is vital for determining how immediately an issue must be rectified.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

The "Fabric" install tool that you need to use to initially integrate Crashlytics into your projects is pretty much style over substance. They have created a reasonably flash user interface which in my opinion has added unnecessary complexity to the process of integrating a framework with your project. In addition to adding resistance to the setup process it has also created impediments that were sometimes not possible to resolve.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

You'll need patience to cope with the initial setup application if you're using Crashlytics across many different projects.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crashlytics provides us with all the valuable data we need to efficiently address, debug and fix software defects in our mobile app projects. Although there are other crash reporting solutions, Crashlytics has by far been the most efficient tool.

  ### 39. Love it. One of the first things I install

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Museums and Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

It's free, it's easy to install and use, and pretty much a self-contained service without needing any other add-ons.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

The plugin is a bit ... invasive, if that is a turn-off for users.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Switch already. It's for Android now - you won't find a better mobile crash reporting software.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need to know what's malfunctioning on my sites - many errors lead to less business. Crashlytics gives me ALL the info - which screen the user was on, what they were doing, etc. It's how things get fixed.

  ### 40. We use crashlytics to get aggregate errors

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rita D. | Technical Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

Our app are used by various number of users on various different platforms and both iOS and Android OS. We like Crashlytics because it gives us an aggregate error. We get an idea if a particular device or OS is crashing. It gives us the stack trace so it's easy for us to debug it.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Can't think of anything. So far it's working as intended

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

If you have a mobile app that is used by a large audience on various devices and OS than Crashlytics is perfect for you. It gives you a total count of errors for an occurrence and the stack trace.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Crashlytics to get an aggregate error for a device or OS

  ### 41. Track your Beta users

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

- Application organization
- Version organization
- Environment management
- Notification

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

- Application upgrade sometimes needs more than one try

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Review the crash and beta-tester feedback and reporting to determine if it is what you are looking for

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Development environments for backend developers
- Beta testing

  ### 42. Great Crash Analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tomer S. | CTO, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

The setup and installation process for Crashlytics is very straight-forward. Once in place, you will get detailed analytics for each crash of your app.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

When I run my apps through XCode, the Crashlytics app insists on staying open as well throughout the entire process...

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Users are not very proactive in reaching out to developers and telling them about bugs or crashes. With Crashlytics in place, you can monitor crashes remotely and address them as soon as they happen.

  ### 43. Fantastic Testing API

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

It is very easy to integrate Crashlytics into your mobile application. I'm an iOS developer, so my experience can only be from that platform. However, Crashlytics also provides an API/SDK for Android as well, which gives it a leg up over its competitors.

Crashlytics uses the Fabric API for integration. It is a very simple process to include the API, and there's a step by step guide which makes it almost impossible to mess up. This is what I liked best about this service - the ease of use.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

While it does allow the user to view crashes and log exceptions from within the application, I wish there was a bit more options. Also, the dashboard to view the application can be a bit confusing to navigate.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Be sure to check out all of the crash/exception handling that Crashlytics offers. You can log "exceptions" which does not necessarily mean a crash.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crashlytics has helped us log crashes and exceptions from within our mobile applications during the testing phase. It allows us to automatically log these errors without the user having to send in a crash log or manually tell us about the crash. This framework does that all automatically.

  ### 44. Debugging Apps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alberto B. | iOS developer Sr., Transportation/Trucking/Railroad, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2016

**What do you like best about Crashlytics?**

You can track your product live, find usability patterns, and debug critical issues.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Takes some time to understand how it works, the deployment team takes long times to solve issues.

**Recommendations to others considering Crashlytics:**

Take advantage of the hidden analytic skills the system has.

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are tracking crashes on a revenue app. And we are optimizing the app according to the usability.

The versatility, the number of services that this tool can offer you, is truly something to be considered in all technological developments.

I really enjoyed views such as user behavior analysis, session length and so on.
Really look forward for new integration for more services.

**What do you dislike about Crashlytics?**

Nothing until now, since I did not really expolit the platform in full. Definitely looking forward to get a more comprehensive experience using more advanced tools

**What problems is Crashlytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm mainly checking for bugs and defining users behavior.
