Memory leaks and other crash bugs quickly populate with the help of Acra tool and allow us to customize the crash reports. **What do you dislike about ACRA?** Not many things for dislikes. But I would like to get the bug-catching a little more practical. **What problems is ACRA solving and how is that benefiting you?** It will help me to find all crash bugs before uploading my android application into the play store. And once the beta test is completed, I can directly launch the stable version for my customers. ### 2. Crash Reporting is an excellent use case of ACRA. ACRA is very easy to implement and has a high ease of use. **What do you dislike about ACRA?** Every exception needs to be coded individually. Statistics and Data Visualization charts can be improved. **What problems is ACRA solving and how is that benefiting you?** Identifying and locating crashes is a very a great benefit. Very feasible, it allows developer to log any contents for the crash report, and send out anytime. 2. It allows developer to custom report contents. 3. Developer can be notified earlier when application is crashed. 4. The logs can be collected on Dropbox for reference. **What do you dislike about ACRA?** No central report repository to collect entire errors. I know there is a report server "Acralyzer" which developed by ACRA team. But this server should be built by customers. It will be better if ACRA can provide cloud service. **What problems is ACRA solving and how is that benefiting you?** To fix bugs earlier when the application is crashed. It will improve user experience. ### 4. Our team has ACRA reporting going into Splunk agregation, which allows us to make sophisticated queries to generate metrics to better support our customers. ACRA's custom data fields make it easy to inject domain- and application-specific information into crash reports for even more value. **What do you dislike about ACRA?** ACRA's server-side support is a little weak. ACRAlyzer seems to be mostly abandoned as a platform, and there aren't very many other endpoints to take in it's data. Luckily, ACRA's reports are just JSON blobs, so they are highly useable in other contexts, and some other tools can do some pretty effective automatic parsing. The big challenge for us historically has been piping data to endpoints that can provide enough utility to be of value. **Recommendations to others considering ACRA:** Consider how you will consume reports and what information will need to be extracted and deployed for ACRA to be useful. Make sure you are willing to invest the time to build out your reporting tooling. **What problems is ACRA solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use ACRA to get reporting on when our Android applications crash. It allows us to see trends, capture hot issues quickly, and get deep insight into what is causing issues visible to our users. But, ACRA gives you the opportunity to customize what you would like to see, and what you don't find valuable. Exception reporting is also another great feature of ACRA. **What do you dislike about ACRA?** I don't like to put the code in every Exception, there should be a global method which would enable exception reporting and not, instead of writing handleException() in each Exception close. **What problems is ACRA solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using ACRA to improve our product on Android platform which would make us achieve much better user experience and also determine the problems in a technical ways that users are talking about. ### 8.
