"Exagrid - Serious and fast backup storage appliance for mission critical workloads"

What do you like best about ExaGrid?

Support, along with reliability and speed is some of the best features that this appliance offer. Upgrades are coordinated with the assigned support engineer and a lot of times are suggested and performed proactively. The appliance works very fast supporting all up-to-date protection technologies (such as immutable backups with configured ransomware lock. Data deduplication and compression are also supported. When configured in clusters it allows for additional storage replication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ExaGrid?

A little bit harder to configure in a complex environment at first but once deployed everything works perfectly. Needs a fine-tuning for deduplication and backup from Veeam.

What do you like best about ExaGrid?

It performs exactly as advertised. It's reliable, fast, and gets good compression. My primary use for it is maintaining database backups and Exagrid is my favorite storage location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ExaGrid?

I don't have to touch it from an administrative standpoint, I just consume the storage. I haven't had it fail or personally give me any issues in the five years I've used it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ExaGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a DBA, I am responsible for maintaining a large amount of backups and unless I consume extreme amounts of disk space, I can't retain meaningful data for very long. Exagrid allows me to dump backups every 15 minutes from 15-20 database servers with a retention period of up to a month. It does a very good job at compression and I have never felt like it wasn't fast enough for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable backup storage with world class dedup"

What do you like best about ExaGrid?

The post process dedup. The most recent backup is stored uncompressed for quick DR recovery. Backup jobs and endpoint resources are not overloaded with dedup processing. That is done on the grid with no impact to production workloads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
