Hey everyone! I’m exploring note‑taking tools that keep your content in sync across all your gadgets. With so many devices in play these days, truly seamless synchronization is a game-changer. Here are a few platforms that seem to deliver, or promise, solid cross-device support:
Notion: Accessible on Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and web. Even though offline editing can feel limited compared to others. Still, it’s a go-to for many who switch between devices often.
Microsoft OneNote: Available for Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and web. Known for reliable syncing, even supporting offline edits that merge when you're back online, which is highly valuable for field use.
Simplenote: Lightweight and cross-platform (Android, Windows, macOS, iOS, web) with fast, minimalist syncing, perfect for users who value speed and simplicity.
Evernote: A long-standing favorite known for strong cross-device sync. It’s widely noted for syncing text, audio, and even video notes, making it a reliable option for consistent access.
Would love to hear your thoughts: Do you rely on any of these for seamless note-taking across devices? Or have you found better syncing experiences with other tools?
For those of you who switch between laptop and phone often, have you noticed one app syncing faster or more reliably than others? These are also tools I'm considering: https://learn.g2.com/best-note-taking-apps
Hey G2 Community! I’m looking into note-taking platforms that don’t just capture information but also connect smoothly with the productivity tools teams rely on every day. Seamless integrations can make a huge difference in reducing app-switching and keeping workflows efficient.
Here are some of the strongest contenders I'm considering:
Best for all-in-one productivity: Google Workspace – deeply connects Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive, and hundreds of third-party apps.
Best for project managers: ClickUp – integrates with Slack, Zoom, and Google Drive while combining notes with tasks.
Best for Microsoft users: OneNote – works natively with Outlook, Teams, and the rest of the Microsoft 365 suite.
Best for meetings: Fathom – integrates directly with Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams to capture meeting notes automatically.
What do you think: When it comes to integrations, which of these note-taking platforms actually saves your team the most time? Or do you find integrations less important compared to features like offline access and templates?
Anyone here switch platforms recently? What pushed you to make the move, and did it end up being worth it?
Hi all! I’m exploring note-taking tools that can handle more than just text. For many teams, attaching images, videos, audio, and other files directly to notes is a must-have. I want to understand which platforms make multimedia support seamless without adding too much complexity.
These are some of the top options on G2 that seem to stand out:
- Microsoft OneNote: Known for its ability to embed drawings, audio, video, and files. For teams that lean on multimedia-heavy notes, does it scale well across devices?
- Google Workspace: Docs and Drive make it easy to attach or link files. But does this approach feel smooth enough, or do attachments get lost in the shuffle?
- ClickUp: Allows attaching documents, images, and recordings to notes or tasks. Is this a practical solution for teams managing both projects and multimedia notes in one place?
If your team relies on multimedia attachments for note-taking, I’d love to know: Do these platforms truly deliver, or have you found better alternatives?
These are some of the free options I was considering, have any of you tried these? https://www.g2.com/categories/note-taking-software/free
