[Which field service management tools integrate with the enterprise systems a company already has without requiring custom development?](/discussions/which-field-service-management-tools-integrate-with-the-enterprise-systems-a-company-already-has-without-requiring-custom-development)

I'm pulling a roundup together and want to sanity-check it with people who've actually done the work. The angle is [field service management](https://www.g2.com/categories/field-service-management) tools that plug into the systems a company already runs, ERP or CRM, without a custom development project to make them talk. From what I can see, the three that come up most for connecting out of the box are ServiceNow Field Service Management, Agentforce Field Service, and Dynamics 365 Field Service, but here's the fuller list.

1. [**ServiceNow Field Service Management**](https://www.g2.com/products/servicenow-field-service-management/reviews): Reviewers who already run ServiceNow describe field work connecting straight back to incidents, assets, and problems, and pushing data into Power BI without stitching systems together.
2. [**Agentforce Field Service (formerly Salesforce Field Service)**](https://www.g2.com/products/agentforce-field-service-formerly-salesforce-field-service/reviews): Teams on Salesforce point to it living inside the same platform as their CRM, which reviewers in areas like healthcare used to coordinate thousands of visits across locations.
3. [**Dynamics 365 Field Service**](https://www.g2.com/products/dynamics-365-field-service/reviews): Microsoft-shop reviewers highlight tight ties to Dynamics CRM, the Power Platform, Outlook, and Teams as the main reason it fit without new tooling.
4. [**ServiceMax**](https://www.g2.com/products/ptc-servicemax/reviews): Built on Salesforce, reviewers describe low-code drag-and-drop configuration and connections into Sales Cloud and Service Cloud rather than custom code.
5. [**NetSuite**](https://www.g2.com/products/oracle-netsuite/reviews): Reviewers use it as the finance and inventory backbone, calling out strong integrations and per-job cost tracking tied into the wider ERP.

For those who connected FSM to an existing ERP or CRM, which integrations truly worked out of the box, and where did you still end up needing developer help?

The honest answer is "out of the box" usually means "out of the box if you're already deep in that vendor's ecosystem." If you're a Salesforce shop, Agentforce makes sense. Microsoft shop, Dynamics. It's less about the FSM tool and more about what you're already committed to.

[Which FSM platforms work well for teams that deal with complex multi-step jobs but do not have dedicated IT staff on hand?](/discussions/which-fsm-platforms-work-well-for-teams-that-deal-with-complex-multi-step-jobs-but-do-not-have-dedicated-it-staff-on-hand)

Here's the puzzle I keep hitting with [field service management](https://www.g2.com/categories/field-service-management) tools: the ones powerful enough for complex, multi-stage jobs tend to be the same ones that expect you to have someone technical to set them up. We don't. I'd love input from teams who've managed to thread that needle without turning setup into an IT project.

- [**Simpro**](https://www.g2.com/products/simpro/reviews): Reviewers use it to run the full job lifecycle from quoting through completion, with customizable workflows and forms that fit how they already work.
- [**ServiceTitan**](https://www.g2.com/products/servicetitan/reviews): Trades reviewers describe it as the backbone that connects scheduling, dispatch, on-site invoicing, and inventory, though they note it takes time to get dialed in.
- [**BuildOps**](https://www.g2.com/products/buildops/reviews): Commercial reviewers point to projects flowing directly into service, with a planning board that schedules around technician skills, certifications, and multi-day work.
- [**FieldPulse**](https://www.g2.com/products/fieldpulse-fieldpulse/reviews): Reviewers describe replacing a patchwork of separate apps with one place for work orders, material lists, and site visits that field crews find simple to use.

For teams handling multi-step or project-style work without IT support, what made the difference for you between a tool that could handle the complexity and one that just became complex to run? Curious what you learned once you were a few months in.

Went through this exact thing. Ended up on FieldPulse because the crew could actually use it without me holding their hand. BuildOps was impressive, but felt like it was built for someone bigger than us.

Question on: PestPac by WorkWave
[What does data migration look like when switching to PestPac from another pest control software?](/discussions/what-does-data-migration-look-like-when-switching-to-pestpac-from-another-pest-control-software)

We're currently on a different platform and have years of customer data, service history, and account records we'd need to bring over. I'm trying to understand what the migration process looks like before committing to a switch.

Years of customer data, service history, and account balances are the real switching cost in this decision, and the migration process is worth scrutinizing as closely as the software itself. PestPac offers a few migration paths depending on your situation. For straightforward datasets, there's a free self-service Data Import Utility that works from CSV uploads. For most companies switching platforms, we recommend the guided migration, where a dedicated specialist manages the transfer of customer records, service history, work orders, outstanding balances, and stored credit card tokens. That last one matters more than people expect, since losing autopay enrollments means re-collecting payment info from your entire recurring customer base. Larger or more complex migrations are scoped individually. One honest note: migration complexity genuinely varies by source platform. How your current system structures and exports data affects what maps over cleanly, which is why we assess your specific dataset during the sales process rather than promising a one-size-fits-all answer. If you share what platform you're on and roughly how many accounts you'd bring over, our team can give you a realistic picture of what your specific migration would involve before you commit to anything.
