What do you like best about Procreate?

This program packs a powerful punch. As a long-time photoshop and wacom user, procreate combines my love of working traditionally with the quick edits and adjustments of digital. It's one of the most powerful tools on the market today for working on the go in an artistic medium. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Procreate?

The main issue is that the program is only available on the iPad. I would love to have this on my computer. I also find that resizing the content is mediocre at best, often causing lines to go blurry. The same image resized on my computer has no issues at all so I'm not sure what it is about how procreate resizes things that makes this an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Procreate:

If you are looking for a comparable program to photoshop, I do not think Procreate quite fits the bill yet. However, if you just want to draw, it's 100% worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Procreate solving and how is that benefiting you?

Because I can take it easily with me anywhere, my drawing amount has increased tenfold. I love the timelapse feature that allows me to share video progress of my work with people on social media. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Procreate?

What I appreciate most about Procreate is how naturally it mimics drawing on paper. The Apple pencil feels smooth and responsive. Custom brush imports offer great flexibility, and the time-lapse feature has been especially helpful for reviewing my process and steadily improving my techniques over time. "I'm in love with Procreate!"

What do you like best about Procreate?

I love the simple and easy to use interface. It makes drawings and design 100 times easier. The brush selection rivals photoshop. I love that it's not subscription based and does most if not all of what Photoshop does. You pay one small fee and it's yours for life. What do you like best about Procreate?

I like that procreate is very intuitive and easy to use. It eases user tasks with the efficient use of gestures. While using it, I found myself amused by its many features and I look forward to exploring more of them. What do you like best about Procreate?

The tool is incredibly flexible, allowing for a wide variety of illustration styles utlizing realistic and responsive brushes. Built-in animation is an added bonus, and the cherry on top is that you pay once and never, ever have to give them another cent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Procreate?

The only real drawback is that it doesn't work for creating vector graphics. Adobe has a similar app that does, but Adobe lacks many of the drawing features (line and shape snapping come ti mind) that make sketching and concept ideation fly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Procreate solving and how is that benefiting you?

For general design work, Procreate bridges the gap for me between initial sketches on paper and creating finished graphics. I can refine easily and flexibly with a familiar feeling tool before jumping into more intensive desktop app work. What do you like best about Procreate?

It's cheap to download. They're FANTASTIC at keeping the app up to date and are always adding new features and listening to feedback. I'm looking forward to getting a newer iPad purely because I want to be able to use more layers. I LOVE this app! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'd love to have more layers available. I know this is something I will be able to get with a newer iPad though.

I would love it if I could organise my files better within the app. It would be AMAZING to have sub-folders.

Where to start with Procreate? Inside this app, first-time artists and experienced professionals will find tools that can help take their art to the next level. It doesn't take long to discover the tools and even master them to create stunning designs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Honestly, there isn't much I don't love about the app. If I had to be picky, some of the pencil brushes could be smoother on it. And if they could add a vector brush like Adobe Fresco, that would take it to the next level for sure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Procreate has created an affordable program for artists of every level. No longer are you required to only use Adobe Photoshop and expensive drawing tablets to work professionally as a digital artist or illustrator.
