What I like most about Procreate is that it provides a way to make some graphics and edits without having a lot of experience. I use Procreate almost entirely for making PNGs with transparent backgrounds and it works very well. It really gives me a tool in my belt that I never had before and it's only $10. I don't like that it's a bit finicky with the object selection tool. I use it to draw an outline around shapes in my pictures so I can use those shapes individually for my graphic. But if I am zooming in or out, if my finger slips, I have to start over on the selection which is a time waste. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about the current application is that its interface is easy to navigate, and it integrates well with the Apple Ipad Pro. The application downloads quickly, and I rarely have any issues when dealing with larger art files. It's easy to find and upload new brushes and palettes. One of the best features is the reference window that allows you to bring up any image over your artboard and zoom independently of your artwork. I don't like that scaling any items up *or* down can result in pixelation, even if you set it to Bicubic. Additionally, I really wish that it could handle bigger working files. For instance, I was recently working on a book illustration that was a spread, so it needed to be a bigger canvas at 300 dpi, and it only allowed for max seven layers, the background layer being one of them. The best part about Procreate is that it's easy to use while still providing a professional level. You have all the tools you need to make great designs and illustrations, and you only pay it once, which is excellent. It is very well designed for the Ipad and Apple Pencil; I´m kind of new to the Ipad Pro and Procreate world, and now I can't go back. I'm trying to think about a feature that Procreate lacks, but I can't think of one. They've thought about everything to make it easy to use with the Ipad and Apple Pencil. The most helpful aspect of this app is strangely not within the app itself. Since the app is deceptively simple, I had to rely on YouTube videos to learn the tool. However, the Procreate channel on YouTube provides concise, crisp, and helpful video tutorials that are really interesting! The Procreate app itself is of course a delight to use, especially since it is wonderfully integrated with the Apple Pencil and is as close to physical paper drawing as you can possibly get on a digital medium! Procreate has done a really wonderful job of integrating pieces from programs like photoshop into a touchscreen compatible format on the iPad. It also has elements from illustrator included as well. It has more functionality than all the adobe apps for iPad and allows the user to use a wide variety of tools to create many different styles of art among other things. There is a bit of a learning curve. It can take a bit of time to get used to and comfortable with the control, especially if you are used to using other programs like photoshop. But I will say once you learn it, it's very easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
