## Crayon Reviews
  ### 1. Crayon is the backbone of our CI program

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arnav S. | Product Marketing Manager, Competitive Intelligence, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Crayon makes it easy for admins to build competitor battlecards and newsletters using the built-in templates. It is also a great tool for CI professionals to monitor competitive developments through Insights and automate research with Sparks. The newly launched Slack integration with AI Answers is a welcome feature that makes it super easy to ask questions about a competitor within the flow of work. Our Customer Success Manager is also extremely supportive and always available to help troubleshoot any issues or brainstorm ideas to drive engagement with the platform.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

It would be better if Crayon had a mobile app that Sales reps could use to quickly browse competitive insights when they're away from their computers or during a client call/meeting.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crayon helps us keep close tabs on our top competitors, as well as monitor new and emerging players within our space that could pose a threat in future. The platform makes it easy to capture and communicate the latest competitive developments in near real-time.

  ### 2. Seamless Competitive Analysis tool with Intuitive AI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

I love Crayon's awesome UI. It integrates smoothly with my sales execution tool, Outreach.io, making it easy to access information right from where I work every day. The interface is great and easy to use, while its AI capabilities are strong. Crayon is AI Native and offers a user-oriented workflow, which was a key reason for us moving some capabilities from Seismic to Crayon. The initial setup was very intuitive, and we easily hosted trainings for our team.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

None

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crayon helps with understanding competitive intelligence in our space and differentiation.

  ### 3. Crayon provides the foundation for a cross-functional CI program!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark K. | Senior Manager, Product Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

I've been using Crayon now for a little over two years and absolutely love it! What started as simple enablement with battlecards has transformed into a cross-functional competitive program across an organization with 1,500+ employees across multiple functions. We've started to use Crayon for everything from enablement to automated market updates and alerts, and even voice of the customer insights through their SPARKS feature and Gong/Salesforce integrations. I've already referred Crayon to a few friends and plan to anytime I can!

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

I wish they integrated with OpenAI but maybe they will have this in the future.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Competitor insights, deal analysis, and sales enablement.

  ### 4. great product service and support for competetive intelligence

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason K. | Technical Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

the tooling works fairly well and the support is great, alway learning something more to do with the product. it was easy to setup and the onboarding process went smoothly, i use this product daily and still trying to learn on the nuances of the product

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

it doesn't integrate with google workspace for chat monitoring and we use zoom for all our conferencing

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

i am utilizing and enabling my whole company to use all the features of this product offering. across competeitive analysis, monitoring and insights

  ### 5. A crucial CI tool for product marketers!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate O. | Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Having a centralized place to keep all of our competitive intel. We couldn't do as efficient of a job enabling the sales team without Crayon. The battlecards are a nice way to keep everything about a competitor organized and easy to find. Slack insights integration makes pushing field intel to battlecards easy. Email digests help us keep on top of everything happening in the market. Plus, regular check-ins with our rep are the best - the customer service is truly fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

Unfortunately, our organization doesn't use Salesforce as a CRM, so the Impact tool isn't of use to us. This does leave a bit of a gap in integrating and understanding competitive win-loss with Crayon.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding your competitors and where you fit is important, but can be time consuming. Crayon helps streamline that process but also even further disseminate the information to stakeholders in an easy-to-digest way.

  ### 6. A Power Tool and Partner via Crayon

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Crayon has been incredibly helpful in obtaining unseen insights on key competitors, and more importantly, being able to look at large sets of data for trends via their new AI tool.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

I'd like to see more variation in the capabilities that Crayon provides including competitive insights beyond the digital landscape. They should think more broadly and holistically to the elements that make up a full 360 competitive intelligence program.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crayon is helping us identify unseen insights and trends that we would not have access to otherwise. Notably, and for any company, we are looking to stay ahead of our competition but also to learn what they are doing to help inform our investments, strategies, and resource allocation. Through the platform, the insights and trends we gather help us within Marketing to better connect with key audiences while tailoring our messages and our Business partners in defining their path forward to engaging with prospects and clients.

  ### 7. Crayon and team rocks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Crayon is a great platform for competitive intelligence and includes a ton of amazing features, to include real-time news feeds, abilities to use AI in many facets, Win/Loss Analyses, integrations with Highspot, Salesforce, and more, great sharing and collaboration features, and last but not least, amazing customer success folks. 🙌🏼

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

I do not have any dislikes about Crayon.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crayon keeps all things CI under one umbrella, with greate ease of use, and seuper helpful team members.

  ### 8. Very little AI and lacks support

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Salesforce integration is helpful for a high level view of Win/Loss, as long as sales is inputting competitive information into Salesforce. Gong mentions are also helpful.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

New CSM is barely there and has not been helpful, no suggestions for streamlining processes or driving adoption. AI features are not helpful, and too little too late compared to competitors. Very manual process of battlecard and intelligence maintenance, no help with standardizing templates. Planning to switch to another tool when our renewal is up. It is not worth the money.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Single resource for Competitive intelligence information

  ### 9. Crayon is a great tool to capture and report on competitive intelligence

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolyn K. | Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Crayon scrapes competitor information daily and sends automated emails with timely and relevant information. Saved searches allow users to narrow in on specific topics of interest.

Crayon's new "researcher" role allows Admins to give organizational users access to "Insights," where they can create their own searches and saved searches.

Crayon's hybrid battle cards make creating and updating battle cards quick and easy.

Crayon also integrates with many well known tech tools, including Slack, Salesforce, and win loss providers (Clozd and Primary Intelligence).

The Crayon team is constantly striving to ensure customers have the tools, resources, and best practices to make their competitive intelligence efforts succeed.

Additionally, the product team at Crayon is at the forefront of updating the interface and platform functionality, including adding new technology such as AI, to ensure the tool remains relevant and useful to users.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

I get the least amount of functionality from Crayon's "Boards" feature. This is likely more of a reflection of my lack of bandwidth in constructing relevant Boards.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crayon helps me keep track of competitors, market trends, and ongoing industry developments. Crayon also helps me quickly and easily create and update battle cards.

  ### 10. Great onboarding and support for a great product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Its the perfect solution for a business at our stage of growth. A genuine need for better, structured and usable information in an accessible way.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

nothing so far tbh. We've gotten everything we wanted from the product.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

our industry has gone through a bit of disruption with AI rapidly becoming more accessible and ultimately expected. We needed to carefully evolve our product set to incorporate the right types of AI and automation tooling that was relevant to our users/use cases, but also make sure we werent losing out to competitors. The nature of what we offer isnt always abundantly clear (more than one way to skin the cat) and so we needed help to stay on top of what our competitors and our market as a whole was wanting/neededing.

  ### 11. Excellenet and intelligence tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** P K G. | Lead software engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

making it easier to share logs across the teams and allowing us to adjust quickly

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

More intuitive design is needed for the user interface, which has to be improved

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

providing a comprehensive set of tools for monitoring and evaluating rivals

  ### 12. Crayon is a great Competitor Intelligence tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tal S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Crayon offers great market and competitive landscape data regarding our competition and the eCommerce ecosystem that we operate. Very easy and straightforward product to use and has relevant features that allow us to easily add or research regarding the relevant competitors and update battle cards

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

The main downside I see is that updating and identifying new competitors for each one of our product lines needs to come from us, and unless we actively update it to be monitored by Crayon it wouldn't automatically appear

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crayon saves us time and resources of manually going over all of our competitors' websites, social media, and industry trends and creates a lot of value by doing that and keeping us up-to-date at all times

  ### 13. A great tool for advancing competitive strategies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rita L. | Marketing Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Crayon offers extensive market insights that help us stay ahead of industry trends and understand our competitors' strategies. This is invaluable for strategic planning and decision-making. We are able to create detailed, up-to-date battlecards that equip our business development team with key information needed to effectively compete in our market.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

At times, the sheer volume of data available can be overwhelming, making it challenging to distill the most critical insights.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, collecting competitive intelligence was time-consuming and often fragmented. Our business development team lacked detailed, updated information about competitors. Crayon’s battlecards and market insights empower them with the necessary tools to effectively engage with prospects enabling them to successfully counter objections and position our offerings more effectively.

  ### 14. An Essential Tool For Tracking Competitors

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Crayon helps me stay on top of the dozens of competitors in my industry. I use it daily to surface publicly available insights, but also use it as a data repository and hub for building battlecards and boards specific to certain topics of interest. I really like the latest features including: 1.) Compete Hub to act as a newsfeed for my latest announcements, 2.) the green/yellow/red tags on each battlecard to flag those that I haven't touched in a while and could use a refresh, 3.) the boards that allow me to compile insights related to specific topics that need a home outside of a battlecard, and 4.) the unlimited competitor tracking helps me follow even the smallest competitor and flag those that might begin to emerge in my industry.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

The AI tool is great to help me write summaries of insights, but I hope that it can improve by being able to regularly populate (sometimes for things like social posts it may not be able to read the content and generate text). I would also love the ability for easier filtering out of words from competitors with more generic names, as it can often pull in insights not related to that specific competitor.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crayon helps provide me with the insights I need to spend more time on strategic activities.

  ### 15. Love Crayon!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

I love all the intel it pulls from all over the web, how easy it is to use, the integration to Salesforce, and the daily emails alerting me to new intel. The customer support has been amazing from the first demo through implementation and more. We have a every other week meeting set up with our customer success just to check in even though we're running well.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

It can be noisy if you don't set up your alerts properly. They don't help create a brand new battle card like you wish they would, just provide a template to work off of. I really wish the influenced revenue feature would allow me to click directly to which opportunities that influenced revenue is linked to.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves me time searching for competitive information and compiles it in one place. My battle cards are consistently fresh and updated, and the AEs can trust the information provided.

  ### 16. Easy to use CI tool from a company that understands the role of 'customer success'

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Molly R. | Senior Product Marketing Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

I discovered Crayon when I came into a company using a competitor product that was difficult to use feven after 1:1 training with our account rep. The company had not taken advantage of the integrations with this other product, and It became obvious why when I tried to make what was handed to me work. When it came time to plan and budget, I started a search for a better product and found Crayon. It was a completely different experience - including that, even though we hadn't committed yet and were just testing integrations, the Salesforce integration worked beautifully. Before I could implement Crayon, I was laid off at the company but delighted to find that my next company had just started using Crayon. It took a while before our vertical got into Crayon and could start taking advantage of it, but I again noticed how easy and intuitive it was to use. Still, our account person told us to send any existing battlecards so she could enter for us. This tracked with my experience at the other company, as they had told me they would be heavily involved in getting us setup since they wanted us to be successful with it. It's apparent that Crayon as a company works to ensure that customers are successful using Crayon and can take full advantage of all that's included. It's a goal this year to get battlecards and competitive information all up-to-date, and it's less daunting knowing that I have Crayon. Not to mention making it easier to get competitor information from the field more easily once we can fully implementand integrate into the sales workflow (that's back on us, not Crayon). Time is precious, and Crayon gets that about its customers - working hard to make sure we're set up to automate as much as we possibly can and staying more current with competitive intelligence than previously possible.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

I'm in a matrixed organization with different business units, and the initial setup of Crayon was watered down as it tried to address across all parts of the organization, making it less useful. For an organization obviously dedicated to supporting its customers to setup for success, this was disappointing and not something I could use. I knew the potential, but it wasn't setup for Crayon to be effectively used. Thanks to my past experience and knowing the potential, our business unit was able to work with Crayon to get it setup for us. I"m in the B-to-B world too, and I know that it gets complicated with Enterprise accounts that span market segments. I do think,in this case, it could help to have an implementation checklist of sorts, so any one person who is managing the purchase and implementation is thinking about who needs to be involved from the beginning (as in, your CI and/or marketing users need to have input in the setup). To be honest, that's going above and beyond, but Crayon is a company that demonstrates a willingenss to do just that.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking competitors easily and the battlecards make it easy to focus on the battlecard content versus layout. A ton of time is saved by having one place to go with the info I need on my competitors and it's updated, so I can keep track of new products or moves being made by the competition. Getting CI from the field is difficult so having a way to make that easier with our folks in the field is huge.

  ### 17. Great Competitive Intelligence Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jodie B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Crayon has been instrumental in kickstarting our competitive intelligence program. It has simplified the process of gathering competitive insights and tracking competitor activities, significantly reducing the need for extensive research. I particularly appreciate how easy it is to compile this information into effective battlecards.

One standout feature for me is the ability to include live tiles, such as negative reviews, directly into our battlecards. Additionally, the option to share updates on battlecards through weekly announcements and the compete hub is really handy,

I was really impressed with the thorough onboarding process and the excellent support provided during the rollout of Crayon. It was one of the most well-executed onboarding programs I've experienced, with everyone offering valuable assistance to ensure a smooth transition and successful implementation.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

It would be useful to be able to track insights on LinkedIn.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crayon has helped streamlined our battlecard creation process, allowing us to develop comprehensive positioning more efficiently. With Crayon, we can easily monitor changes made by our competitors, including updates to their product offerings and shifts in their positioning strategies.

The integration with Slack simplifies the sharing of competitive insights among team members, ensuring everyone stays informed.

  ### 18. Great for small teams & exceptional customer support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Crayon has made it possible for my small team of one to develop a robust competitive intelligence program. Besides automating data gathering, it has a ton of options for ways to distribute information (an in-platform newsfeed, Salesforce/Slack integrations, battlecards, etc.). It's super easy to use and I was comfortable using the platform immediately after onboarding. However, the best thing about Crayon is their focus on customer success. My account rep has been able to answer any questions I've had, worked with support on my behalf when needed, and has been a true partner in establishing our CI program.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

There have been times where Crayon has stopped pulling in data from certain sources. This has usually been addressed and fixed within a matter of days.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crayon helps us track multiple competitors closely and distribute competitive intel effectively while minimizing the time/effort required to do so.

  ### 19. Excellent Experience!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eva K. | Focal Points Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Crayon's competitive intelligence platform revolutionizes how businesses understand and react to their competitive landscape. By automating the gathering and analysis of data from hundreds of millions of sources, it saves time, reduces the risk of oversight, and ensures a comprehensive view of market dynamics. This enables companies to swiftly identify opportunities, stay ahead of competitor moves, and make informed strategic decisions. The user-friendly interface and scalable technology make Crayon an indispensable tool for any organization aiming to secure a sustainable competitive advantage efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

Very happy with the tool overall, nothing I disliked.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crayon's platform offers key benefits including time savings through automation, reduced risk of missing critical market information, enhanced strategic decision-making with comprehensive insights, and the ability to quickly adapt to competitive changes. It supports efficient market positioning and growth opportunity identification, making it an essential tool for maintaining a competitive edge.

  ### 20. Curate intelligence, create first-rate battlecards, and share to a broad audience with Crayon

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Timothy C. | Senior Competitive Intelligence Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Update 11/2023: Crayon doesn't disappoint. true to what I said previously about the quality of the team, Crayon has continued to listen to feedback and update the product. The one area I mentioned before about needing updating is the word processing app, and they've added in more fine-tuned controls, and they really help.

More than that, they've updated the product, improving the integration with Salesforce, introducing the Compete Hub so we can better track how our battelcards are influencing deals and revenue, and made creating announcements as simple as flicking a switch to create awareness around new insights, battlecards, and battlecard updates.

Crayon makes receiving and curating actionable intelligence on key competitors as easy as pie: users can create nuanced saved searches available upon login to Crayon or delivered to one's email inbox at a chosen interval. This is invaluable; it keeps me attuned to the latest developments and news for competitors. More powerfully, I can take those bits of information and add insights that can then be shared into a battlecard for more real-time intelligence to enable internal stakeholders. While new to competitive intelligence, I've worked in intelligence for over 13 years, and Crayon solves many of the raw intelligence dissemination and analysis-sharing hurdles I've had to creatively overcome during my career. As equally important as the tool is the team I work with- they're simply fantastic. They're responsive to questions and requests for help, ready to hop on a call to brainstorm ideas or problem-solve, and receptive to new ideas.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

As they've continued to improve the product, there's not much to dislike - as I mentioned in my original review, Crayon is a fantastic tool that solves problems I had to deal with for the bulk of my intelligence career; it's simply fantastic.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem Crayon helps to solve is the coalescing of competitive intelligence assets - raw intelligence and finished analysis - into one central, easily accessible, and shareable repository. In our internal chats, it's becoming increasingly common for folks to reference Crayon: "I've found this in Crayon" or "I was checking Crayon," which not only speaks to our internal messaging, but to what Crayon is able to achieve as a tool for our organization. We are a small outfit, and having our work as broadly accessible as possible ensures we're able to focus our attention on solving the next critical problem.

  ### 21. Competitive intel and clear insights!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julian M. | Regional Account Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

In a dynamic competitive landscape, Crayon provides real-time competitor insights, eliminating the need for manual daily intelligence gathering. The Salesforce integration streamlines access to battle card information for sales reps and automates win/loss analysis, saving significant time. Additionally, the responsive and supportive customer success representative enhances the overall experience.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

There isn't much to criticize. Crayon has significantly improved its ability to filter out irrelevant or unimportant insights.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Analyzing competitive intelligence, consolidating insights, and tracking competitor activities are essential functions that Crayon provides. It serves as a crucial source for us to monitor our competitors' pricing strategies, content updates, and product development efforts. Additionally, we leverage negative reviews and feedback from platforms like Glassdoor to identify potential weaknesses that we can capitalize on.

  ### 22. Great sales and product marketing tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chad S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

I enjoy how customizable the Battlecards are. We created a custom layout template that we duplicate for new battlecards. The Salesforce integration is also great, it makes accessing customer and sales data much easier. But my favorite thing is the dedicated customer success team. The onboarding process was super fast and easy thanks to their support.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

The one downside is that building Battlecards can be time consuming since you need to manually add in most of the content. It takes effort to keep the information up to date. I wish the Battlecards had more automated data flows to pull in relevant info and keep things current. But overall it's a great tool.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crayon helps organize our compettive intelligence program into one platform that's easy to navigate and use.

  ### 23. Go to for Competitive Battlecards

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

I love having crayon as our go to repository for competitive battlecards. The search is very easy to use when I need to find information on a specific competitor. I also like the new dashboards where it shows influenced revenues.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

I wouldn't necessarily say it's a dislike but its another dashbaord to login to, so it could be great to have some sort of an extension to pop open competitors while I'm on other pages

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of use to research our competition while in a sales process. Much easier than asking around internally or relying on google drive or dropbox for shared resources. The organization is great as everything is categorized by profile, strengths, weaknesses, summary, reporting, why we win and more.

  ### 24. Revenue Enablement Manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Seems each vendor in this space has different approaches to licensing, each with it's own pros and cons.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intel gathering from public sources that comes to us automatically and can be fine tuned to remove the "noise." Tying metrics to battle card usage directly to sales win/loss.

It can be hard to drive adoption in larger organizations. Not necesarrily a drawback of the tool, but this is something our team has struggled with.

I like that it gathers information for us and can easily integrate with our Sales apps like Salesforce.

The ability to create battlecards is Crayon's strong suit. The Insights tab also is helpful for consolidating information about competitors.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

Crayon isn't able to integrate with other CRM platforms outside of Salesforce, which can make some of its functionality obsolete for teams that aren't on Salesforce.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Information gathering - saves time for PMMs to not have to go and search each competitor's site individually

Battlecards - one-stop shop for sellers to reference compete materials

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

It's just easy. Simple to do research, easy to see which battlecards are being leveraged the most and when they are being updated.

I can't punish Crayon for this, but it would be great if we could more automated updates straight from a companies LinkedIn, but this is more LinkedIn's fault than Crayons.

  ### 38. Cool tool, great customer service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel J. | Actor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

The automated insights are easily digestible. Being able to share boards and competitive intel across teams is great for our remote company and helpful for gathering field marketing knowledge. And best of all is the team behind the scenes who help me get the most out of Crayon. They're available when I need them and fast to respond.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

For social media, Crayon doesn't track LinkedIn and currently Twitter intel. This is sort of out of their hands since LinkedIn doesn't do 3rd party apps, and recent changes at Twitter have followed the same course of action. However, there are good workarounds with Boards that help get LinkedIn and Twitter insights shared across teams.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crayon is helping me look into what our competitors are doing. My favorite in particular are the line graphs that show our performance against others. Super easy to read, download, and share.

  ### 39. Excellent option for competitive intelligence

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Crayon was very easy to implement and use from an administrative perspective. It provided us flexibility with what we wanted to show to our Sales team and easy updates within the platform.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

When we left Crayon (upper mgmt decision), there was no export option for the battlecards we had built in the platform. We had to take screenshots and then recreate them from scratch.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We loved the live insights into what our competitors were doing, down to the changes on their website. It also provided us with live insights into press releases and platform updates from our competitors.

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Great tool to track competitive intel and share across the org! Their customer support is super helpful and responsive. Every quarter, we update our competitor list tracking in hubspot and their team always helps share the data quickly.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

It'd be great to have a better integration with Hubspot so that the process of tracking excluding competitors in our marketing database would be easier.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On the marketing side, we're able to track our competitors who are looking into our marketing content.

  ### 46. Great platform for Product Marketers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristen C. | Product Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Crayon makes it easy to gather competitive insights and build helpful, competitive battle cards with which we can arm our sales team. It's super easy to build the templates and edit as needed. I also value the integrations with Salesforce for additional insights, automation for the battle cards.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

Takes a little bit of learning to get a hang of the platform and not all competitive news and insights are relevant but still good information and not something I'd expect a platform to be able to identify.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crayon allows us to track and gather competitive insights. It enables us to build and host our competitive battle cards and be more knowledgable when coming across competitors in sales deals.

  ### 47. Powerful C.I. tool that helps you create and maintain centralized knowledge about your competitors

  ### 48. Essential to our competitive intelligence program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

Crayon makes it easy to consolidate competitive intelligence resources for sales and other parts of the organization. Battlecards are easy to update and deliver via platforms that sales already uses - e.g., our sales enablement software platform. The ability to comprehensively track updates across competitors saves time and effort, and generally helps to stay informed about what's happening - one of my favorite examples of the value of Crayon's tracking capabilities was when a competitor quietly removed a key executive and the way we first learned about it was via Crayon's website change tracking functionality.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

Crayon's email alerts show a few updates and then direct users to the platform. The ability to have saved searches delivered right to email would be nice.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Crayon for the following:
- Consolidating and updating key competitive intelligence assets
- Monitoring usage of assets
- Tracking competitor updates and changes
- Monitoring win/loss activity via the Impact module (integrated w/ Salesforce)

  ### 49. Great service and support!

**What do you like best about Crayon?**

The capabilities of the Crayon platform meet our needs but what I really value is the best practices, service, and support that enable our team to truly take advantage of the platform and help us realize our compete goals. We have an amazing partnership with Elizabeth in Onboarding, Brenna in CS, and Jen in Support. Thanks Crayon team!

Regarding the platform, battlecard design and distribution are user-friendly, and insight filtering is fairly intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Crayon?**

I wouldn't say it's a dislike, but we had some insights from competitors that over-filled the Insights feed. Once this issue was raised, the analyst team addressed and corrected which our team appreciated.

**What problems is Crayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reduce the number of competitive losses to increase win rates and, ultimately drive more revenue
Real-time data gathering from external and internal sources
Curation of data into actionable insights that are easily maintained over time
