"A Rapid, Stable and Cost-Effective Platform for Managing Apps and OTTs for a TV Show"
What do you like best about Zype?

I value the Zype platform's ease of use and rapid response when updating our company's app and OTT offerings. Zype's services are also offered to our company at a great price. After I learned the interface, I am able to rapidly update our TV show's assets and these reflect in near-real time. It's also been a stable platform in that I don't recall any downtime or outage with the apps/OTTs. I have also appreciated that my questions were answered within a reasonable timeframe when I had to contact Support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zype?

The only issue we've had is the connection/syncing between the Zype publishing platform and our Vimeo Pro account which holds our original media assets and which feeds into our Zype library. On a few occasions, uploads to our Vimeo Pro account were not automatically ingested into our Zype library, so I had to request a 'manual sync' from the Zype support team, which would always be done within one business day maximum. On a very minor note, sometimes the published Zype assets only show up in our live apps a few hours after submission, but usually they show up in under 30 minutes, it's a rapid platform. What do you like best about Zype?

The standout feature of Zype is their genuinely customer-centric approach. The support team is incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and feels like a true partner invested in our success, not just a vendor. Beyond the fantastic people, the platform itself is powerful, easy to use and comprehensive. Having a robust, all-in-one solution for our FAST channel management, from playout to distribution, has been a significant upside. It simplifies complex workflows and has proven to be incredibly reliable. What do you dislike about Zype?

It's genuinely difficult to pinpoint any major downsides. The only initial thought was the potential challenge of the time zone difference, but Zype's support model has made that a complete non-issue for our team. If I were to offer a small piece of constructive feedback, it would be that some of the platform's more advanced functionalities can have a bit of a learning curve, but this is easily offset by their thorough documentation and the support team's readiness to help. What do you like best about Zype?

Zype was already in place at my company, when I started, so there was no setup process on my part. What stands out most is the ability to stream our video content effectively and to have mobile applications for our TV station business. We find the ad trafficking customization incredibly valuable because it allows us to tailor our advertising strategies to suit our needs precisely. Additionally, I like that Zype is compatible with many platforms and offers flexibility, such as the ability to gate streams if necessary, which is crucial for controlling content access and ensuring optimal performance across varied devices. Mostly, I am impressed by Zype's customer service, which has been crucial in problem-solving and enhancing our overall experience with the platform. What do you dislike about Zype?

What do you like best about Zype?

I appreciate how all of our digital storage and distribution can be held and managed in one place. All our team has to do is add content to the CMS, and any digital distribution platform that we've set up through Zype automatically updates. Apps Creator helped us expand our digital distribution years ahead of building each streaming app individually. I also appreciate the customer service and hands-on training and development from Zype. We often ask questions that lead to new features. Our Zype team is eager to find ways to meet our particular use-case. There are a few key things that stand out to me since I began working with the Zype product. First is the user interface, it's user-friendly, making it easy to build and refine different sections of our app. Second is the excellent communication between our team and Zype’s support staff. The analytics page is not very intuitive. It also can be frustrating that admin.zype.com is separate from the Apps Creator, rather than integrated; I have to go back and forth between them.
