**What do you like best about Zylo?**

Zylo is the tool I use to manage software usage at my company. I can manage licenses, expenses, and ownership of contracts, big and small. Zylo assists me in efficiently managing software renewals with data-backed insights, resulting in the most favorable contracts year after year. Integrations, workflows, and benchmark prices are easily accessible and save me time each week. I rely on it as my only source of reliable information, and I use it daily to manage our software stack.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

I think the only limitation is that some applications don't have benchmark data available yet - however, they add new ones all the time. This can be very useful when negotiating contract renewals.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zylo is an excellent tool that helps me manage a large and continuously expanding software stack. With its user-friendly dashboards and insightful reports, I can easily communicate the data to the company's leadership team, enabling them to make well-informed decisions about our SAAS footprint. One of the most significant benefits of using Zylo is that it helps us reduce license bloat and avoid application redundancy.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

They provide visibility into all of our SaaS applications. Their benchmarks/consultant helps us save money and stay on top of renewals. The platform also allows us to detect new apps used that have not been through proper approvals.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

Sometimes information is incorrect, although in our particular case, we are a complex company with many dynamics, making it a challenge to keep up with even with great integration.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zylo has solved many problems. Mainly we have had many M&As; not only do they adapt/overcome, but I can also look at payments and get pertinent info about a renewal coming up that we didn't know about. As mentioned, they help us detect new applications needing proper approval within our organization. Zylo helps with seeing cost centers and where you can consolidate one/two tools with the same functionality instead of having ten. They help with license reduction by being able to see who is utilizing their license.

It gives great visibility into our SaaS spend. Very easy to use for all things renewals and app management. Our Finance and IT teams use it regularly!

Lack of integrations and no ROI measurement for tools

Managing SaaS spend and applications. Deprovisioning, license mgmt and renewal mgmt. That is keeping auto renewals from happening, duplicate spend for overlapping tools and minimizing spend on inactive users.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

I love that Zylo gives me quick access to all our SaaS tools, spending, contracts, and who owns what.  The recent addition of the cost-saving module that allows us to track the effort we are making internally to reduce cost has made a difference too.   Customizable dashboards make creating views from different audiences easy, so everyone has the information they need to make SaaS decisions.  Finally, the Zylo team member we are working with is nothing short of AMAZING!!

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

Just keep on adding great new features. I'd love to see how we can add fields ( similar to a mail merge) to template messages to renewal reminders to further enhance what is already in place.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Zylo to track our spending against the budget and track upcoming renewals and utilization. When the time comes for renewal, we look at all these items to determine if we look for a new solution or renew the existing one.  We have achieved significant cost savings just by looking at utilization for example by rightsizing the licenses count.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

Zylo has allowed our organization to see immediate ROI in our investment within benchmarking data. In addition, the easy UI allows our teams to view data as granular or high-level data as we want to go. The reporting available on day one is groundbreaking and does not compare to any other tool I've used in my tenure. Zylo has allowed us to eliminate wasted time on old-school procurement practices, build mature procedures around their application, and understand our tech stack at a whole different level. 
In addition to the fantastic capabilities Zylo's products have to offer, there is something to be said about the level of services offered. Zylo exemplifies what customer service means; at every phase and with every Zylo rep I've interacted with, I have felt supported and heard, and they have undoubtedly been monstemenal to the success of our goals.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

I have no dislikes about Zylo. We are satisfied with the Zylo application.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zylo benchmarking allows our teams to spend less time doing manual work locating pricing information to support our renewal negotiations. It enables a level of confidence to our teams who are requesting discounts or fair market pricing. 
The Zylo application allows for visibility into the tech stack and shadow IT, in return it helps maintain compliance to onboarding practices. 
With easy reporting we can tackle the renewals ahead of time, prepare for such conversations, and maintain clean records for our contract management practices.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

Zylo allows for a singular interface to pull in all of our spend data for software. I can get notifications when new software is expensed, which allows me to keep a tight grip on software spend. Workflows allow us to clean up our users to make sure we aren't paying for licenses for users that no longer need them.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

Data filtering can sometimes be hard to use, but it's easy to download reports and manipulate the CSV. Also, I wish there was just a bit more customization with the way that workflow emails are sent out. Some users thing the emails are a phishing attempt, so my responses are sometimes limited.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zylo helps us see all of the software that is being purchased, whether through AP or expense. It's familiar with software apps, so it groups them together by apps and vendors. It helps identify opportunities for consolidation. Zylo also notifies us when contracts are up for renewal so we can begin working with vendors well in advance to the renewal date.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

Zylo has been a tremendous addition to our management tools. With so much SaaS being used, Zylo compiles everything you need to know about your company's SaaS stack, making it easy to see everything in one place. The Zylo system includes all our SaaS subscription information, including technical and financials, providing a complete picture.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

Zylo provides many integrations, but I would love to see many more integrations with more tools made available. When a SaaS subscription is connected with integration, the additional information is just awesome!

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zylo is solving our issues with shadow IT and not knowing all the tools our staff uses. Zylo has centralized all the information on our SaaS tools. Zylo is also helping in vendor management and spend management, specifically on knowing when renewals are coming up and providing benchmarks on many tools, helping us when negotiating renewals and their contracts. Lastly, Zylo also provides and Application Catalog for our staff to be able to know what tools we have available and even be able to request access to those tools.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

Zylo uses your financials to discover new SaaS purchases on AP or hidden PCard purchases.  Adding attributes about products in your portfolio allows you to support lifecycle programs with the information in Zylo.  Seeing the payment information on a product answers many questions at one sight without running reports in your AP system. Zylo is enhancing modules often. Their enhancements are customer suggested.  Their concierge service is great!  You can send documents (contracts/agreements, invoices, PO) via email, and they glean information from the document to update your product information in Zylo.  Zylo's is increasing its product integrations to directly retrieve usage, licensing provisioning, and opportunities to reprovision or downgrade licenses.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

One area that Zylo can improve (and probably on their roadmap) is the custom fields management.  Overall, Zylo is an exceptional tool to use for managing your SaaS portfolio

**Recommendations to others considering Zylo:**

Using Zylo can open your eyes to all of the spend your organization is leaking.  Knowing what you have and how you can control the spread of technical debt is the first step to improving your organization's Budget, Ops, Support and transformation.  It is a good product and service to help you get started in SAM.  Their organization has very trusted and intelligent staff.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing our product portfolio in Zylo has provided the ability to track old or duplicate applications.  We have been able to retire old or duplicate applications in our environment.  We have also been able to reduce our security threats by removing older apps.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

We have seen an immediate ROI through the tool's ability to identify savings opportunities such as duplicative or underutilized applications. The tool is very intuitive and easy to use and has streamlined our process to manage software spend across the organization. Our Saas Manager has been an incredible partner, driving effective negotiations as part of our procurement process further increasing the savings realized as part of our relationship with Zylo.

I cannot think of anything. We have had great success with Zylo.

Zylo is ensuring our Saas spend is optimized across the business by enabling us to quickly identify duplicative and/or underutilized tools. Zylo facilitates a streamlined procurement process throught reporting on upcoming renewals, benchmarking data, and historical utilization statistics. Zylo eliminated an extremely manual process by providing historical software spend which serves as a key input into our forecasting and budgeting processes.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

The compilation of data that is automatically pulled from our ERP systems provides insight into our spend at levels that are more granular and approachable than any other analysis tool I have ever used in Procurement.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

The mass of data that Zylo can process leads to some hygiene issues with data. However, the Zylo team will tactically and strategically address your current problem and ensure it's not an issue in the future.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zylo is providing insight into our spending across our organization (and the world), allowing us to cut back on shadow spend. Furthermore, it acts as a contract repository that helps our team to get ahead of renewals. Lastly, it is a source of truth for which vendors have undergone proper vetting that ultimately leads to safer business operations.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

The way the information is presented, the dashboard and the graphics are top-notch, so you can quickly identify the facts and trends of your SaaS tool.
Another aspect is the benchmarking function, which allows our organization to know how we are performing with marketing and helps to have a baseline for negotiating with our vendors.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

Opening the Zylo web page whenever we meet with the Zylo team felt like an intromission in my computer.

Zylo helps the organization in several areas:

Put a complete and comprehensive list/inventory of our organization's SaaS tools.
Help with the benchmarking when we are going to negotiate with a vendor.
Help with synergies of vendors.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

The software is super intuitive and easy to use. I have worked with 300+ software vendors and Zylo support and customer service is by far preium level. The Zylo leadership has my back.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

There are a couple things in the contract management area that lacks, however in recent weeks there have been new deliverables that are addressing all my concerns.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zylo helped me in so many areas for operational renewals. By using this software I was able to successfully merge 5 companies at the same time by discovering all outstanding Saas contracts. I built out a vendor management and SaaS contract source of truth.

Zylo integrates well with other platforms, gathering data and gaining insights easily. There are also many built-in reports, insights, and dashboards to view data differently.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

It would be helpful if some of the reports and dashboards were linked directly to the underlying data. Some reports do this, and some do not. There could also be improved explanations of pieces within the platform, such as what each field means or does.

Zylo helps solve the issues around SaaS management organization-wide. The platform brings all SaaS information into one place, then pairs it with spend data to create a wholistic picture of the SaaS environment.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

Our Zylo team we collaborate with is always responsive, and on top of everything we ask them, I couldn't ask for a better team to be paired up with. Additionally, I enjoy that we can link and integrate many apps we have in our Okta environment to Zylo so we can effectively manage and unused licenses.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

I do wish there was more customization for the Zylo app catalog that end users see, I enjoy the view that we have within the Admin page and it would be nice if we could show additional details in the end user's view.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zylo is helping us cut costs and reduce user counts where it may not be obvious. We have so many applications, and it isn't easy to manage user counts and ensure the users requesting licenses are using them.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

Zylo provides a comprehensive means of discovering, optimizing, and driving utilization of your SaaS footprint. It allows me to eliminate spreadsheets and reporting to discover where our SaaS dollars are going, which is the most critical first step to managing this increasingly large area of OpEx spend in any organization.

Additionally, the direct integrations to many applications, and to key SSO providers (Okta, AzureAD), provide valuable data about usage of your applications.

Zylo can truly function as a system of record your SaaS in any ogranization, both capturing internally valuable metadata, as well as key items like contracts and order forms.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

Not so much a dislike, but a key point to consider. Zylo like all tools, requires a programmatic approach to implementation and daily operations to capture the value it unlocks. If you are buying any SaaS management tool, resourcing it appropriately, and getting buy in from your stakeholders is key!

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zylo helps me optimize SaaS portfolios, often resulting in 10-20% reductions in overall software spend. Additionally it creates an operating system that keeps you on top of your renewals so you dont lose money to an auto renewal you meant to cancel, or an opportunity to negotiate better terms.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

Zylo has been extremely helpful in 1) cleaning up application users (thereby reducing overall expenses) and 2) being aggressive on contract renewals and helping us save money across the board.  It's also been a huge bonus to streamline and lock down our process of software renewals and new software acquisition.  Our process before was creating a disjointed effort across the company with no true single pathway to acquire new software.  Now, it's very straightforward and streamlined, making everyones' lives much easier.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

I haven't had any negative experiences with Zylo so far.  The only item that I would add is an integration with Adaptive Insights for planning/forecasting purposes, but that is such a niche request that it really isn't expected - more of a "nice to have" if I was able to get every single thing I wanted.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are quite a few problems that Zylo is solving: 1) creating a streamlined software acquisition and renewal process, 2) having a single source of truth for all of our software suites, and 2) helping us save money through aggressively negotiating contracts with vendors.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

Zylo is user-friendly and easy to navigate. The insights are great.  Working with Bill Frederick our Zylo Sr. SaaS Consultant does a great job and he is always helping us pull insights and creating filters fo us.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

The workflow emails do not let you add spaces and the text is centered which looks weird. The logo should also be bigger. We need the ability to format the emails that come from Zylo.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a big focus on Expense Spend Management and Zylo is giving us the ability to see SaaS that is being purchased on P-Cards or employee Credit Cards which is against our policy.  Zylo also gives my team the ability to see users that are expensing SaaS that we already have an enterprise agreement with.  We are also able to see redundant software that is being purchased.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

It gives you visibility to all software spend within your environment. By pulling from expense reports, AP payments, and corporate cards it gives you a holistic view of things. It helps procurement teams stay on top of what you have and when it renews, lets security teams know and be able to assess things that may not have followed policy, and allows finance teams and budget owners visibility into where the money is being spent. The system is flexible and easy to use to give the relevant information that's needed.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

The interface can require clicks in and then having to back out again, but the Zylo team is quick to evaluate and implement customer feedback so I would anticipate there being a solve for this soon. The integrations are also an area that I'd like to see enhanced to pull information directly from a wider series of apps.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It truly solves the "what do we have" and "what do we pay for" questions. It gives teams actionable insights to find overlap, "shadow IT" and then be able to prioritize actionable next steps for management of those items. It helps you reduce overall cost by showing utilization of what you have so that you can assess if you really need it going forward, and if so how best to optimize.

The UI helps our SAM team quickly understand which tools are being utilized within our environment. It also helps us strategize for our new M&As we are working to onboard and integrate.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

My only complaint is that to build an instance for our new M&As we have to work to find the financial fields needed from the finance department from the acquisition in question.

It helps us understand if we are under-licensed or over-deployed in our environment. That, in turn, allows us to better understand our license usage and helps us to stay in compliance or provides insight into cost savings and avoidance. Very useful for creating reports and completing data analysis.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

Zylo is super easy to use, and very user-friendly. The implementation process was really soon and it felt like everyone was invested in making me successful. In comparison to other solutions looked at, Zylo was more authentic from the first interation.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

I am still looking for some functionality to pull license costs per person/department, we are close with some workaround but I can't quite allocate license costs per department yet.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zylo is discovering redundant spending for me as well as recouping licenses. I received a huge benefit from their QBRs ad the implementation approach that steps me through what I was discovering in bite size piece.

**What do you like best about Zylo?**

The user interface, The visualization of data and the usage pattern we can use for users.  The last used graphs helps reharvest licenses and saves cost. The integration with some of the most used publishers is a boon and the connection establishment process is very simple.

Now Zylo also has custom fields to put in your own classification of the software and segregate them in categories like departments, finance etc. You can use certain tags and custom columns to use the data for reporting. The latest feature we love is the export API, helps to consume the data in any other tool.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

Limitation of reporting as per own needs. Apart from Okta, we would like the tool to read data from other sources of authentication as well. If we can improve the reporting dashboards, that would be a huge step forward.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SaaS management has never been this easy. Re-use of licenses has been possible to a great extent due to Zylo.  We can check transactions for different software categories and sources of purchases, and what is coming in from Credit cards. The tool helps a lot with budgeting as well.

We can use the workflows to send out re-harvesting emails, saving tons of human effort.

Zylo's ability to extract software spend from Concur credit card and generically labeled invoice transactions is precious to leadership. Traditional accounts payable methods only capture the vendor name, while Zylo can analyze those transactions and match them to a specific application.

Zylo Workflows have allowed for the retrieval of many unused licenses, enabling more cost savings. This method of capturing user responses is much more efficient than the old way of sending out mass emails.

Also, the Zylo team is accommodating and willing to cater to customization or new integration requests. (Shoutout to Chase!)

The limitation of application APIs or integrations can inhibit Zylo's ability to provide precise data. Although, the Zylo team is eager to find solutions to these concerns.

One of the greatest benefits of Zylo is the visibility you get into how much you are spending on a particular SaaS offering and who is using it.  The integration into the systems to pull this data is very simple and straightforward.  The interface is intuitive and not cluttered.  As a security professional, this also helps us identify applications that are being used without authorization and prior approval.

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

There is some limitation in the flexibility on how information is displayed.  We can create custom fields, but we can't push any of those fields into the catalog for other employees to see.  There is also a lack of integration into our vendor risk management platform, so there is some duplication of effort to make sure that data between the two applications are the same.

**Recommendations to others considering Zylo:**

I would recommend that businesses adopt Zylo early on.  When we implemented Zylo, we had over 300 applications identified and many of them we didn't know about.

**What problems is Zylo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest challenges we are facing, outside of overspending on applications that aren't being used, is duplication of services.  We have either found that multiple departments have engaged with the same company and two separate corporate accounts exist, or two different services that provide similar services are being used.  This is helping us reduce the number of applications being used and need to track. It also provides clearer guidance for employees as they are investigating the use of an application to meet a particular need by allowing them to see a list of applications already being used and approved.

The software is extremely intuitive and easy to use.  Zylos process of gathering contract and spend data is surprisingly fast and largely hands off for the customer.  The Zylo team is extremely proactive scheduling status meetings and working with you to not only ensure that the data in the application is accurate and complete but that training is in place to ensure you are maximizing use of the tool.  One of the biggest surprises for us was the support and guidance Zylo has provided with renewals and year end budgeting.  They have a broad knowledge of SaaS products and have been been able to provide guidance pertaining to overlapping products, low usage and reporting to assist in making renewal and budget decisions.  

**What do you dislike about Zylo?**

This isn't a dislike of the software, but more of a challenge on our end utilizing all the benefits that Zylo is able offer.  One feature that Zylo is working on is the ability to export reports into excel.

Zylo has provided us visibility into SaaS spend that was often over looked such as spend happening on users personal credit cards and being expensed. Single source of truth for all software spend in our company. Allows IT, Procurement, Leadership clearly see what is being purchased and when its scheduled to renew.  Unmasks rouge software spends that are sidestepping procurement processes or sitting on personal credit cards.

It can be challenging to manage all the data that Zylo presents and know where to begin mitigation, especially if the company has never done a software audit before. This isn't really a shortcoming of Zylo's but it does require a large amount of resources to get Zylo to a point where all data is accurate and processes can be implemented.
