"Poderoso y maravillo la herramienta Zimbraa Desktop"

What do you like best?

Zimbra es una aplicación de cliente de correo electrónico de código abierto y gratuita. La integración del entorno empresarial en el escritorio de Zimbra es potente: los correos, el calendario, las tareas y el maletín para el almacenamiento de documentos hacen que el ecosistema funcione bien. Múltiples cuentas y búsqueda poderosa, con vista previa en el programa de todos los archivos adjuntos facilitan el trabajo.

What do you dislike?

Crear carpetas nuevas en el árbol de l servidor de c(IMAP) o en el lado del cliente (POP) no es al instante, usted debe reiniciar la aplicación. Es un gran problema que puede provocar un desastre en el servidor o incluso la pérdida de sus mensajes de correo electrónico.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Muy recomendable. Mejora la administración de todos tus usuarios con correo electrónico desde el punto de vista del administrador de sistemas todo te será más fácil desde Zimbra en adelante. Además puedes probar la versión gratuita para despejar tus dudas. NO QUERRÁS VOLVER A TU SISTEMA DE CORREO ANTERIOR CUANDO LO PRUEBES!!!

En nuestra empresa podemos decir que con Zimbra Desktop hemos mejorado las la eficiencia y productividad laboral, así como en orden pues las herramientas clásicas como el calendario, los contactos y las tareas, han ayudado a mantener los correos electrónicos sincronizados.

"Powerful mail client with few problems and without Zimlets support"

What do you like best?

Business environment integration in Zimbra desktop is powerful: mails, calendar, task and briefcase for document storage makes good work ecosystem. Multiple accounts and powerful search, with in program preview of all attach files make work easy.

What do you dislike?

Making new folders in mails tree on server (IMAP) or client side (POP) is not momentary - you have to restart application. It is huge problem which can lead to make mess on server or even losing your email messages. There are no Zimlets for ZP, it is another problem.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Wait for new ZD version, Version 8 which could be more like ZC 8. Current version 7 is graphic outdated and have some big problems with server folder management.

It is free, it is powerful. Work with multiply mail accounts and it is very stable application.

"Zimbra Is Great!"

What do you like best?

Switching to HTML formatting from options is a simplistic feature. And you can change font type, size, add headings, align, create lists, insert links or tables. I like that icons are very intuitive and easy to select quickly than other similar programs. In addition right clicking on each message allows you to create and assign new tags that may be useful to search or sort later, when you will have a lot of messages.

What do you dislike?

Downloading the program at first was a very slow process

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

In our office, a lot of the computers would crash and the computer files would be lost. But since we have Zimbra now, from Options you can activate and define settings for backups. You can backup your emails, supports to run automatically on a schedule. Is useful to make backups on a different disk that C: or to external drive in order to recover emails if computer is crashing.

"The Best free & Open source email client Application"

What do you like best?

What i like most about zimbra is that it can be used both online & offline , allowing access to our data ar anytime and from anywhere.

It is cross platform ,because it is compatible with linux & windows operating systems. The implementation of zimbra software is simple & fast, it is very easy to manage thanks to a clean , elegant and friendly user interface that adapts the needs of a company. By expanding something else , we can also highlight that zimbra technical support help with storage and the organization of all tasks, calendars contact lists and task.

What do you dislike?

The bad thing about zimbra is not much,but there are negative aspect related mainly to the language of the platform,since by default it comes in english, if you need to put the interface in other language ,you have to do the configuration of the dictionary in that language , for this it is necessary to have learned certain knowledge for its installation since it is not an easy task.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I recommend zimbra , because it correctly synchronizes the email accounts of all employees , allowing to improve. The administration of user emails with the advantage that it can be used online & offline.

Zimbra Desktop is a free open source email client application that allows all employees to access their emails accounts managed by zimbra desktop both online & offline. Zimbra in addition , allow to synchronize the electronic mail , the contacts that our employees possess and all the information that there is a calendar.

In the zimbra mailbox , there are many intuitive and easy to use tools to search previous emails that works efficiently

"Zimbra Desktop."

What do you like best?

Lo que más me gusta de Zimbra es que se puede usar tanto en línea como fuera de línea, lo que permite el acceso a nuestros datos en cualquier momento y desde cualquier lugar.

Es multiplataforma, porque es compatible con los sistemas operativos Linux y Windows.

La implementación del software Zimbra es simple y rápida, es muy fácil de administrar gracias a una interfaz de usuario limpia, elegante y amigable que se adapta a las necesidades de una empresa.

Al ampliar algo más, también podemos destacar que el soporte técnico de Zimbra, la ayuda con respecto al almacenamiento y la organización de todas las tareas, calendarios, listas de contactos y tareas, etc.

Además, hay versiones de prueba disponibles que se pueden evaluar de forma gratuita.

What do you dislike?

Lo malo de Zimbra es poco, perohay aspectos negativos relacionados principalmente con el idioma de la plataforma, ya que por defecto viene en ingésd. Si necesitas poner la interfaz en francés, hay que hacer la configuación del diccionario al francés, para ello es necesario tener aprendidos ciertos conocimientos para su instalación ya que no es tarea fácil.

Poco más negativo tengo que decir, en cuanto empiezas a trabajar con Zimbra, todo funciona bien y de la forma en que se espera.

Yo recomiendo Zimbra, pues realiza la sincronización de forma correcta de las cuentas der correo de todos los empleados, permitiendo mejorar

la administración de correos de usuarios con la ventaja de que se puede usar en línea o desconectado, y así poderse usar desde cualquier sitio y en cualquier momento.

Zimbra Desktop es una aplicación de cliente de correo electrónico de código abierto y gratuita que permite a todos los empleados acceder a sus cuentas de correo electrónico administradas por Zimbra Desktop tanto en línea como fuera de línea.

Zimbra, además, permite sincronizar el correo electrónico, los contactos que poseen nuestros empleados y toda la información que hay en el calendario.

En el buzón de Zimbra hay muchas herramientas intuitivas y fáciles de usar, para poder buscar en correos electrónicos anteriores que funcionan de manera eficiente.

"Should i use Zimbra?"

What do you like best?

In all honesty, i loved it. It had the complexity of gmail but the simpleness of aol mail. It had some very minor downfalls, i mean it was mostly about adding more space, which wasn't much difficult, but really, much of the emails were stored anyway, after a year or two, you can just print out the old material anyway! I would definitely recommend Zimbra, especially for a small/medium office environment. We used it for a staff of 150 or so.

What do you dislike?

Cannot send huge pictures, but that wasn't much of an issue since we used to zip them and send them compressed, am talking about over 25 mb.

Take time to learn it more before thinking of switching, should you ever want to, because it really is a good software and has all the features you'd want, just have to look for them.

Quick, reliable, easy to navigate. One thing about google for example is that every new email is added to the same sent message, it confused many employees, zimbra, you simply get a new email again and it was much easier to search for emails, really was.

"It is a very good tool that synchronizes emails and other utilities in the best possible way."

What do you like best?

One of the best advantages is that it can be used both online and offline, which allows access to all the information at any time and place, as well as documents and other important utilities, also can be used in various systems operating as Windows and Linux are the most popular, its implementation is relatively simple and its use is very easy to handle as the interface adapts to the various users and needs within the organization.

With respect to the quality of functions are good as well as technical support, solves muco with respect to storage and organization of all tasks as well as what are necessary calendars, contact list and task list, has test versions which if is interested in obtaining the product can evaluate each of its functions safely.

What do you dislike?

The bad thing is that you need to make the dictionary configuaracion to Spanish, which requires some knowledge for installation and because defect comes in the English language, and can not be configured so simply, I think it is one of the aspects Negative that happens inicailmente when you start working with the product of the rest the functionalities are correct.

A very good experience during the use of the product, offering an adequate synchronization, order and quality in each offered functionality, this product improves the labor management and has the advantage that it can be used online and offline, allowing it to be used anywhere you are and be able to be aware of the daily tasks and responsibilities in the company, is very useful and really recommend it.

Improves labor efficiency and the order of the necessary tools such as calendar, contacts and tasks, as well as helps to keep emails synchronized and a better visualization with what is working increasing performance and efficiency with the use of the product, giving better results in terms of the work of the members who make life in the organization.

"A perfect companion for Zimbra users and others"

What do you like best?

Microsoft's Windows users brag about their Outlook solution and how it fits well under Windows OS's. But for the Zimbra users, there's a better solution available to all different OS's: Zimbra Desktop. And it also works for Yahoo, Gmail and others!!!

What do you dislike?

It's a bit of a resource hunger, but once you start it up, it goes well.

Client connectivity with an easy to use, mirror liked application that resemble the Web version. Some people really prefer to use an application instead of the web version.

"Great overall product and design"

What do you like best?

Zimbra Desktop is a very powerful product in terms of handling all the typical account items you would see, like e-mails, calendar, tasks and contacts. They have an awesome "briefcase" for doc management that works like a charm. Everything works well and like it should.

What do you dislike?

I've noticed lag when working with POP side. It is noticeable to others too.

Works so well and is cost suitable for most companies large or small.

Handling all my email items like mail, calendars etc. The benefits are awesome so far as I feel much more organized in my work life.

"Great tool to manage multiple email accounts "

What do you like best?

Since it's a cross-platform its easy to have access to all emails and calendars all together in one platform. Its offline functionality helps to still have access to email even if there is a network breakdown.

What do you dislike?

Due to being an open source platform and reliability on the network to have an updated synchronization comes with the challenges of privacy and more dependent to have a solid network connection.
