We have transformed our payroll from taking weeks in month to being able to complete it within hours. There is a really easy User Interface which takes very little training to help user navigate themselves and utilise the platforms functionality. We implemented XCD at a challenging time for our organisation with little internal knowledge due to a new HR team being hired. The implementation team at XCD were incredibly patient in working with us. We ended with a seamless implementation. **What do you dislike about XCD HR?** There aren't many things to dislike about XCD. Maybe the Customer Support function could provide slightly more comprehensive responses but i am yet to have an issue not resolved. Just perhaps could have been resolved quicker with more detail in the explanation. **What problems is XCD HR solving and how is that benefiting you?** We previously had seperate HR & Payroll solutions, generating a significant amount of errors each month. Alongside these errors there was an extensive manual processing requirement meaning a member of the team was dedicated to Payroll processing for 3 weeks of the month. We have almost entirely eliminated payroll errors and we now calculate the time taken to complete payroll in hours. ### 2. The support you receive during the implementation period is great. the training provided is comprehensive. Its continually improved with each release. Its easy to use. can make custom made reports too. **What do you dislike about XCD HR?** Training is provided before the implementation takes place, would be easier to have the product, get the implementation done and have the training before the UAT period as the training is comprehensive and you somehow forget things between implementing the data / product and UAT period. Customer support provided in general is good however it takes longer to get a response for the HR related cases raised in comparison to the UAT period. **What problems is XCD HR solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have HR and Payroll under the same platform since the implementation and this made it easier for the team ### 3. This means there’s no need for complex third-party integrations or syncing data across systems. Everything—from managing users to reporting—is done within Salesforce, which really helps to eliminate data silos and reduce admin overhead. Since XCD uses Salesforce’s security model, setting up user permissions is a breeze. Our teams can only see the employee data they need, without the hassle of adding extra layers of security. We found the implementation process really smooth, especially for the Core HR module. XCD provides upload templates that make importing HR data, like employee records and job details, much easier. One feature that really stood out to us was XCD’s customer portal. It offers quick responses to any questions we had, so we always felt supported when we needed help. On top of that, the portal has a huge library of help materials. These resources focus on how to use the system day-to-day, with easy-to-follow guides on everything from navigating the interface to using specific HR modules. They’ve been super helpful for our HR team to get up to speed and solve any small issues on their own. **What do you dislike about XCD HR?** As of this review, the XCD My HR page is built entirely using Lightning Web Components, meaning it’s not easy to customise to fit our organisation's specific needs. However, XCD is aware of this and has it on their roadmap, so we’re hopeful for improvements in the future. At the moment, XCD lacks strong mobile support, which has posed a challenge for us. To work around this, we had to create our own Salesforce Lightning app to manage mobile-enabled items from XCD. This was necessary because XCD items were mixed in with other items from our managed packages, making them difficult to locate within the "All Items" section. Like the My HR page issue, mobile support is also on XCD’s roadmap, so we’re expecting improvements in future updates. **What problems is XCD HR solving and how is that benefiting you?** XCD HR has really helped us address a few key challenges in managing HR processes. Here’s how it’s benefiting us: 1. Consolidating HR Data Before XCD, our HR data was scattered across different systems, making it difficult to get a clear view of employee information. Now, everything is integrated into Salesforce, so we have everything in one place, making it easier to access and manage. 2. Better Reporting Generating HR reports used to be a hassle. With XCD’s integration with Salesforce’s reporting tools, we now have customisable dashboards and real-time reports, making it easier to track key HR metrics. 3. Improved Data Security Managing who sees what information has always been important. Since XCD uses Salesforce’s security model, setting up user permissions is straightforward, and we don’t need to add extra layers of security. 4. Mobile Access Before XCD, it was difficult to access HR tools on mobile devices. While mobile support is still improving, we’ve been able to create our own Salesforce Lightning app for mobile access, making it easier for employees to access HR features on the go. ### 4. The team at XCD are super helpful and always looking to see how it can improve and work better for us. **What do you dislike about XCD HR?** XCD is a highly complex tool, sometimes to it's own detriment. One thing out of place and the domino effect it can have can be quite significant. It's hard sometimes to see where the problem stemmed from as it's usually humar error. But sometimes thing go on behind the scenes and even Xcd support are a little baffled. We always manage to find a solution though. And the only reason I mentioned that it was limiting was mainly down to our own restrictions and access rights that we put in place because of the complicated back end end work and reports built in by our Salesforce Team. So not a reflection on Xcd - just frustrating for us at times. **What problems is XCD HR solving and how is that benefiting you?** The Auto enrollment is almost working 100% and there are just a couple minor glitches to iron out. This will massively help bring down admin time when working correctly Hopefull y we will hear soon how we can submit out benefits through payroll which will also be a big help. The recent feature for selecting the period for the payment toemployee has hugely helps with bringing down the retros for the month, ### 5. It is very easy for both self service users and system administrators to navigate and use and they have an excellent support system, user guides and online training available. I particularly like the reporting functionality. If there is a field that exists in the system, it can report on it. it also integrates with other products and has data loading functionality to help with bulk changes. **What do you dislike about XCD HR?** A few issues with integration that weren't as easily resolved as the majority of other queries. **What problems is XCD HR solving and how is that benefiting you?** HR, Payroll, Learning & Recruitment ### 6. We use this to combine sales force with our performance system. It also holds our internal vacancies screen. We have had it go down for weeks at a time with issues caused on their end and not our own.
