I work as a permanent employee for a company that runs its India payroll through WorkMotion, and I’ve had a really good experience so far.

What I like most is how easy it is to get help. Opening a ticket is straightforward, with no long forms or confusing steps. The team replies quickly, and more importantly, they fix things fast. Most of my queries were sorted without any back-and-forth.

I’ve been working with Workmotion for the past six months, and I’m very satisfied. The platform is very user-friendly and makes it easy for me to edit and update my data, contact details, work contracts, and more. The only downside I can mention — and I mean this as constructive feedback — is that overtime hours aren’t taken into consideration when I log them in my working hours. The onboarding was fast and well organised. I had a dedicated onboarding specialist from day one, and she kept me updated at every step: entering my data, the contract draft, client review, then DocuSign. The whole process, from invitation to signed contract, took about three days. She also flagged a detail of the French portage salarial setup without being asked. One area that could be improved is having even more clarity and guidance around certain onboarding steps and processes. The people behind it, honestly. I've been employed through WorkMotion for a bit over two years — I'm in Latvia, the company I actually work for is German. Every request I've raised has come back handled, and on time.

A concrete one, since it's the clearest example I have. Latvian law requires a mandatory occupational health check every three years. It's a paid service here, and the procedure for getting the cost reimbursed was not obvious to me at all — I wasn't sure who pays, what documents were needed, or who to send them to. I asked, and had every answer inside one working day. Went and did the check, submitted it, got written confirmation the cost is covered. Start to finish it was clear and uneventful.

That's the pattern in general: the team goes properly into Latvian specifics — occupational safety paperwork, health checks, reimbursement rules — instead of handing the question back to me. That was not my experience with the previous setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The platform itself is pretty basic. It does the job — payslips, requests, documents are all there — but parts of the UI feel unfinished and it's not what I'd call polished. What I liked most about WorkMotion was the simplicity of the entire onboarding process. The platform is very intuitive and makes it very clear what steps to follow, what information is required, and what documents need to be submitted.

So far, I haven’t found any particular drawbacks to WorkMotion. If I had to point out something that could be improved, I’d say that some of the onboarding documents and requirements could include a little more context directly on the platform, especially when there are country-specific tax or administrative requirements.

In my case, I had to follow up with the onboarding team to clarify some questions related to documentation and taxation in Portugal. Fortunately, the support was excellent and always responded quickly and clearly, so this never became a real problem.

The platform’s UI/UX and performance were very good, and the integrations used during the process worked seamlessly. As a user, I don’t have enough information to evaluate the price/ROI, nor have I used the AI features enough yet to provide relevant feedback in those areas.

The company provides excellent support and always pays on time, which gives me real peace of mind. When we were dealing with Workmotion movements and change, the quick response to any ticket or concern was outstanding. The transition from 0 to 100 was also very smooth and satisfying, and I honestly never had any complaints. Overall, everything felt easy from start to finish, with no extra burden coming from the experts on the platform. At the moment, I haven’t encountered anything I dislike about the platform. Whenever I have a question or concern, I create a ticket and receive an answer within less than 12 hours. Having worked with other EOR platforms, I appreciate two main things about WorkMotion. 1- ease of platform navigation. Everything is easy to find, bc the menu bar identifies exactly what is held within each section correctly. 2 - the support staff. They understand what I need support with, are helpful, let me know next steps and follow-up when I get distracted with other things and forget to check-back in. Sometimes the delay in getting a response is frustrating, but admittedly, that's sometimes because there are some internal pressures or deadlines where I need a response quickly. Other times, I don' know where in the process we are (e.g. is something still being investigated?), so that can be frustrating. Oh, and also, I don't feel like we are often getting the partnership that we seek. We have employees based in other countries, so it would be helpful to feel more like we are partners, getting best practice recommendations. That's something that doesn't always feel to be the case.
