I like the wide variety of templates Visme provides, making it easy to create everything from ebooks and infographics to presentations and other marketing materials. It saves me a lot of time and allows me to customize things. The finished product always looks polished and professional Also, I don't need advanced design skills to use it. I dislike the cost. I don't use it that often, and it is quite expensive. However, I am unable to edit my work if I do not continue my subscription. I also dislike that I cannot get other members of my team to help me in creating and especially editing my work since they do not have a Visme subscription. I like that Visme offers our team a reliable way to create professional client reports that have a lot of data, but don't lose out on being distinctive and professional from a design standpoint. It's also a lot more affordable than some of the tools out there on the market that are either overkill for our purposes or think much too highly of themselves as tools, for the prices they want to charge. I kind of wish the AI was a bit more effective at telling me how to do things that I don't know how to do in an effective, efficient way. I guess in that sense, the support capabilities of the AI are a bit lacking. The performance velocity of the tool itself is not bad, but it does take a rather surprising amount of time to generate a PDF to download for the client deliverable. I've been using Visme since 2017, so it's been almost a decade. One of the best things about Visme is that it's intuitive and makes it relatively easy to create content. I wouldn't categorize this as a dislike, but more of challenge. What I mean is that, because Visme is packed with so many features, including AI features, it will take you some time to figure out all of Visme. There is a learning curve, so if you're new to Visme, be patient with yourself. Sometimes the system crashes or glitches, and it won’t load or save properly. That can be really frustrating. I’ve been using Visme for years, so I have a soft spot for it, but honestly the template library feels weak, the price point is far too high, and the asset quality doesn’t seem to match what you’re paying.

In comparison, Canva has a larger, stronger template library and is quicker for non-designers, which makes it the better option when I need something good in 10 minutes. I’d love to see Visme surpass Canva in those areas so it can become my one-stop shop for everything design, but it’s just not there yet. They are continuously making improvements. Products are designed to engage end-users. Great training videos. Customer support is generally good. Generally speaking the UI/UX is user friendly and feedback is genuinely considered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are some ongoing coding errors that even when reported are not resolved. When they are resolved there is no response to reported errors that something is fixed (or that something can't be resolved). Pricing is high compared to similar platforms (double the price of Canva). Cannot download SVG file format. AI background remover is not as good as Canva. AI erase and replace does not work. AI image generator is terrible. Because the UI/UX design has menus that automatically open, when using MS desktop split-screen function it is impossible to work even on large monitors because the menus block everything. I recently tried to create a a video using a combination of AI and pre-recorded video and finally gave up and switched to Canva. There are often some really really weird glitches that occur such as every time I make a change on a page the document instantly refreshes to the first page. I have to close everything and login again for everything to start working properly again. They are the type of glitches that are more like a desktop program that required defragging and the removal of temp files in the early 2000's. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that Visme makes it easy to design objects and shapes, which can be resized and aligned easily as they snap into place. There is a wide variety of icons to choose from, which makes things quite helpful. The templates are very helpful even though I don't use them a lot; they still provide a lot of ideas and are suitable for different mediums, like social media. Visme is not widely used by my editors of journals, which makes collaboration a challenge. They prefer using specific templates through PowerPoint, and incorporating these through Visme can be difficult, causing a disconnect between using two platforms. I really like Visme’s design flexibility, along with how easy it is to format content and be creative. The pricing works well for my small team and fits within my budget. For me, this is more about how much time I can allocate to learning new parts of the system than anything specific to Visme. Some information display pop ups in the working interface, such as the page size percentage bar, the text detail and the image size display, tend to get in the way. I like the templates and how easy it is to save blocks and themes to apply to my whole document. It saves me a great amount of time and allows me to create a piece that looks cohesive while using our brand colors, logos, and fonts to apply to a large project very easily.
