What I like best about Gartner is the depth and credibility of its research. When I’m looking for high-level insights or trying to evaluate vendors, their reports—especially the Magic Quadrant—make it easier to see the competitive landscape quickly. It’s not just surface-level info; it’s well-researched, structured, and trusted by decision-makers. It really helps when I need to back up a recommendation or present options to leadership. The biggest downside for me is how expensive and limited access can be. Unless your company has a subscription, it’s hard to get the full value from their reports. Also, some of the content feels more tailored to large enterprises, so if you’re at a smaller company or startup, it might not always feel directly relevant. And occasionally, the vendor evaluations can feel a bit too influenced by market presence rather than pure product performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
