**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake B. | Director of Sales, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

I attended Victory Lap's 6-part series, “Virtual Product Demos that Close Deals” and it was excellent. I wondered by how a virtual course over the course of 2 weeks but would work, but it certainly did!

Now, as an employer partner, working with Victory Lap has been even more impactful.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

From a training perspective: Not only did I managed to sandwich it between the workday effectively, I came away with a ton of real-world examples and knowledge nuggets I began applying hours later. Brian and his team's conversational approach, practical examples and break-out formats create an inclusive environment for all to share, learn and build on together. Highly recommend Victory Lap for any sales pro no matter if you are just starting out or have many years of experience under your belt.

From a hiring perspective: Victory Lap tailors your process with their candidates to find ideal matches for your organization.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I could see them being 1 hour vs. 1-hour 15 mins. Maybe early in the mornings or even more straddled over lunch so I don't feel like I was losing part of the work day.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Victory Lap is proving to be a pivotal talent resource for our company. For our most recent hire, we've nearly cut onboarding and ramp time in half, paving the way for increased productivity and impact in a far shorter time frame had we sought candidates elsewhere.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From a training perspective: Helping make more demo's more impactful, effective and yielding better results. I came away with new tips on how to generate referrals, which was not in my arsenal before.

From a hiring perspective: Victory Lap is proving to be a pivotal talent resource for our company. For our most recent hire, we've nearly cut onboarding and ramp time in half, paving the way for increased productivity and impact in a far shorter time frame had we sought candidates elsewhere.

 ### 2. Amazing opportunity to learn from experienced professionals.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

I completed the Virtual Product Demos that Close Deals course via teleconference. I'm in the beginning stages of transitioning from the BDR to AE role and Victory Lap came highly recommended to me to learn best practices from a community of experienced professionals.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

The lessons were structured to build on the last session. There were breakout groups every session where lively discussions took place among sales professionals of varying levels of experience.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I didn't particularly dislike anything about the program, although I wish the breakout groups had been a bit more structured and consistently active - but, the groups were diverse and different each time so you do what you can.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Look to Victory Lap when wondering who to go to for effective, fun, easy to join, and actionable sales training for SDRs, AEs, and those looking to enter the industry.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Victory Lap is enabling me to become a more responsive, non-salesy, conversational, and effective future AE. I gained insights that normally might have taken 6 months on the job, in 6 days - that's the most impressive aspect of Victory Laps method.

 ### 3. I just completed the 6-part series “Sales Prospecting Strategies” and couldn't be more satisfied.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony T. | Account Executive - Media Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

I attended 2 virtual sales boot camps, Sales Prospecting Strategies and Virtual Product Demos that Close Deals hosted by Brian and Keegan. With the course content and the knowledge I gained from them and everyone in the group, I am positive it will help me in my sales career. Would 100% take it again.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

They broke the training into 6 steps that build on each other. I have already put into place the structure we went over and have seen immediate improvements in my demos.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

Nothing yet. I would sign up to get together with the group once a week to run ideas off each other if I could.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Based on my experience with the virtual sales training courses, I would recommend this course to anyone that asks.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is not teaching a sales technique (ex. SPIN selling), it is a structure that can be incorporated into your current way of selling.

 ### 4. A manager's dream

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David A. | Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

A member of my team and I recently attended a sales training course together with Victory Lap, focused on giving more effective demos. As a participant in the course, there were a number of tactics I learned that will make me better. As the manager of a participant, the nightly recaps and recommended discussion topics showed me clearly how I could use VL training in the future to rapidly skill-up my team without me being involved in each class.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

Each night I received a recap of the session that my team member attended along with some suggested discussion topics and questions. Since I also chose to attend this course myself, I really liked the efficiency. VL combined written resources with lecture-style learning, discussion, and individual + group exercises. The course was completed over 6 days spread across 2 weeks at lunchtime, making it really easy to fit into a busy schedule.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I have a high level of expectations on any service provider and VL exceeded my expectations. I can't honestly say there's anything I disliked.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Don't wait to integrate VL training as a means to improve the productivity of your sales team.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My problem is that I don't feel that I communicate with sales prospects in the way they'd like to receive information. VL helped me understand how to structure sales demos, ask questions, and lead the conversation to better serve my clients.

 ### 5. Amazing learning experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth R. | Translator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

I took two training courses with Victory Lap - Sales Bootcamp and Sales Prospecting.

I am looking for a job opportunities through Victory Lap.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

People at Victory Lap are very passionate about educating people on how to be successful in sales. During those two training courses, I was able to learn so much and was able to share my ideas in a very collaborative environment. I would recommend Victory Lap to anyone who are passionate about improving skill sets as well as themselves and keep the learning going.

On the job searching side of Victory Lap, everyone is very passionate to find candidates not only a great job but a job that fits individual candidates. When I was going through the initial interview process, they were very curious to see what my goals were and things I look for in a company. Also, when Coronavirus broke out, they were very honest with the situations in terms of what the candidates should be expecting. After seeing that, I realized that people at Victory Lap genuinely care about everyone that cross path with them.

I cannot say enough good things about Victory Lap!

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

Nothing! I loved being part of this amazing training opportunity!

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving sales skills as well as just finding the motivation factors.

 ### 6. Sales Prospecting Strategies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Enya C. | Sales Support, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

In six guided sessions Victory Lap provided a platform for our class to share and learn about our struggles and strengths while prospecting in sales. Using breakout rooms we were given the chance to have smaller discussions and really dig in. Brian and Keegan are positive and experienced and you feel captivated while listening to their stories and advice. I loved everything about this training and will continue to look for more from Victory Lap as I always leave with a get it done attitude.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

I’ve been apart of two training courses through Victory Lap and both were done via Zoom. It felt completely normal and didn’t hinder the learning experience at all. It always feels real and genuine from both Brian and Keegan. It isn’t cookie cutter and while still being structured class sessions they allowed the conversation to direct what we as students were experiencing in real time. Six session flew by!

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

Cheesy but I loved everything about the training

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Growing my network from the first training I was apart of with Victory Lap opened the door for the next training that I just finished. Love the positive energy and real talks that come with every session. You always leave with something to think about or something to act on.

 ### 7. Victory Lap was awesome for giving me insight into how others excel within their sales careers.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aleks M. | Account Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

I attended a two week, six session course on Outbound Prospecting with Victory Lap. Not only did the Victory Lap team share valuable insights from their personal experience as sales professionals and sales trainers, but the break out sessions that allow you to share ideas and learn from your peers within other industries was absolutely invaluable.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

Hands down, my favorite part of the Victory Lap training was the breakout rooms which allowed me to share ideas and learn from peers within other industries.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

With certain topics, participation may have been encouraged a little "too much," where it would take away from Brian and Keegan (VL moderators) and sometimes the back and forth between attendees would turn into "noise." This was minimal though, and was literally the only dislike about the course.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

I would definitely recommend Victory Lap. Even though the VL staff is knowledgeable and shares some great insights, I cannot stress how invaluable it is to share best practices with your peers from all different types of industries and iterate on the best ways to approach sales.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Going through this exercise with Victory Lap has already given me new skills as a sales professional, especially how I approach outbound prospecting.

 ### 8. Making the complex simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bram P. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Followed the online/remote VIRTUAL PRODUCT DEMOS THAT CLOSE DEALS from Belgium, during Covid19-confinement.
The title and format got me hooked, as it fits with the product we have (that gets demo'd). The first class got me excited!

I was looking forward to learning about pitfalls during sales meetings (as someone with a non-commercial background), and the best ways to present something while selling -as you're not there just to present your product; it has to get sold!

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

I loved the breakout rooms (peer learning) and daily key takeaways everybody shares at the end of class.

The build (presentation, hosts, format) and timeline of the classes was very clear and made me eager to follow the next class.

The class preparation and recaps we receive per mail make it easy to get ready for the next session and know what the expect, or even prepare (a question or topic to think about for example).

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

Breakout rooms were very nice and a good opportunity to meet new people, however sometimes a bit short to get the most out of it.
If privacy allows it/with attendees' consent, it would be interesting to know a bit more about the other class participants for potential new business relations or mutual struggles.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Be actively involved in the classes to get the most out of it, takes (digital) notes or add comments to their presentation slides. Don't park those somewhere but actually check them again and use them!

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Victory Lap presentation, team and other students gave great insights and tips on how to best get a meeting started, get to the sale, follow up and close! Even you don't close, go for the referral.
I have 5 pages of notes that are ready to be checked before my next meeting, and they will definitely help us towards more conversion!

 ### 9. Sales done humanely. Still in awe of how amazing my training program was!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farai M. | Entrepreneurial Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

I took the Sales and prospecting strategies training that they were offering and as someone learning to prepare for the industry from a startup perspective, a lot of it was theoretical. I found myself getting consistently more results when I was asking for informational interviews during my job search process by implementing the strategies Victory Lap taught me. It was truly fulfilling to see!

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

The focus on being human, not being a nuisance and ultimately being extremely intentional about each contact I make and knowing what I will do 5 steps after that outreach attempt. Definitely made me think strategically about what I was hoping for with my outreach and all my actions.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I really cannot think of anything. The timing and length of the classes was perfect, the instructors were knowledgeable and always prepared and they were respectful of us and our unique needs.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

The training programs that Victory Lap offers are most certainly worth the investment. Whenever I start my own startup or join another company I'll definitely be reaching out to Victory Lap to ensure all my staff are trained in these fundamental and critical skills. I'm so glad I now have this knowledge, I'm certain it is going to give me a real edge on the job when I start.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching out to cold contacts, overcoming rejections as well as not having motivation to continue. I just really found myself writing better outreach emails and getting more tactful in my messaging to not waste their time, but build credibility and enough interest for them to follow up with me. I'm truly amazed at how quickly I'm seeing results quite frankly. It's wild!

 ### 10. Their virtual sales prospecting class gave me a lot of insight to be prepared for sales.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James E. | Sales Development Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

I've been job hunting for the past four months. This class not only gave me insight on how to be most effective in sales but it provided me with techniques that I could apply to my job search as well.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

Victory Lap's classes facilitate a collaborative learning environment that is is elevated by the by the expertise and experience of it's instructors.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

there's little to dislike about this class. The biggest place that they could improve is by having more interactive course materials, but I'm sure that this will change as they incorporate the Lessonly sponsorship.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Come prepared to take notes, network, and share experiences if you want to get the most out of these classes.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VIctory Lap is helping me to hone my sales technique and confidence as a salesperson. One of the major benefits that I have realized is the insight on challenges that people in B2B sales roles commonly face and how to navigate them.

 ### 11. Engaging, Comprehensive, 100% Worth the Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabrielle M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

After working a year in business development, I was looking to enhance my skills and get help finding the right job for me. I wanted to move into tech sales and Victory Lap set and prepared me for that path.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

The multivariate approach with panels from alumni and professionals in the field, activities and the capstone project were the best. The process felt engaging and thorough!

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I didn’t know what to expect when I started with Victory Lap. However, I understood that it would be unpaid. After finishing the program there’s nothing I can say I disliked, if anything I’ve grown as a sales person from the process.
Making the commitment worth it.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Come with an open mind. Be ready to work, dig deep and have fun.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the moment, new opportunities are coming! I am better equipped for not only the interview process but, well into to the sales roles. I benefit from taking my skills to the next level and being innovative in a cutting edge industry.

 ### 12. Victory Lap Taught Me How To Become Successful In Sales And Was More Than I Ever Expected

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmine J. | Public Relations Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap is a sales education program designed to prepare and support professionals interested in pursing a career path in sales. I was offered a chance attend their first one month sales virtual training bootcamp in March and upon attending the classes my expectations were blown away by how supportive and knowledgable the coaches were. I was able to learn the fundamentals of sales and gives a day to day understanding of an SDR/BDR role and was required to also complete a graduation project where we had to pitch a service to another company. During my time at Victory Lap, everything I thought I knew about sales I realized I didn't know and the support that these coaches give when it comes to discussing topics like an elevator pitch, researching businesses, emails and objections was unreal and they went above and beyond to make sure you could understand what each of these things meant in sales in order to become successful.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

I loved so many things but I really enjoyed the interactive Lessonly assignments and learning how to engage customers through building a trusting sales relationship, how and when to ask the right questions, interviewing prep and how to handle video interviews, the power of persuasion and overcoming objections. I also really enjoyed how they would send us motivating and inspiring TED Talks as well and the coaches would take the time to go over anything you didn't understand. They were really hands on which was surprising since it was the first time Victory Lap had a course that was completely virtual.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

Honestly I can't say a bad thing about Victory Lap only the thing is I wish I could have met them in person but due to what is currently going on, I think they handled everything perfectly. We still were able to really get to know each other and the coaches made sure everyone was just as engaged even if we couldn't be in training in person.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

If you are looking to take your career path into sales and want a place that truly cares about seeing you succeed then please look into Victory Lap. You will not regret and will learn everything and be prepared for a career in sales.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I learned so much more about sales than I ever thought I knew and now I feel I am totally prepared for anything that will come my way. I have already interviewed with a company that went great so I know that Victory Lap wants nothing but the best for their students. I realized I am much stronger than I ever gave myself credit for and after going through this training I am confident that I will land a job in sales that I love and will consider my career for the next chapter of my life.

 ### 13. Great sales discipline for our tema

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmine L. | Senior Marketing Manager, Senior Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap helped our sales team create better practices for conducting demos, prospecting, and nurturing our sales pipeline.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

Brian is an insightful sales teacher who provides actionable tips and strategies. His team is well-organized, and the format of the class provides valuable interaction with other sales professionals.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

Since my colleague and I took two classes at a time, it became a bit much to have 2.5 hours a day of class on top of working full-time. I would recommend completing one 6 week session and then starting the next.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

If you're looking to connect with others and get real-time feedback and strategies to improve your sales department or improve as an individual I highly recommend Victory Lap.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating urgency with sales leads and developing a strategic approach to prospecting outreach.

 ### 14. Defies All Expectations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kane K. | Operations Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap's biggest impact on me was simply introducing me to the world of sales. From interview prep, to terminology, to prospecting and all other parts of the sales process. For someone who came in with virtually no experience - they never made me feel dumb even though on a lot of this stuff I was, in fact, quite dumb.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

I joined Victory Lap with absolutely zero prior sales experience on the recommendation from a close friend. I was skeptical at first, but from my very first interview with Ali I knew that VL was going to help me get where I wanted to go. During my VL time, I had a death in the family as well as a personal injury issue that could have easily, and understandably, derailed my time with VL. They didn't hesitate to make sure first and foremost that I was okay - but then to make sure I was able to continue working through the course and networking. I have to give a special shoutout to the whole VL team but a most special thank you to Ali for bringing me on board, Colleen for the wonderful lessons; and ESPECIALLY Keegan and Tammy for dealing with me incessantly and never complaining or being unavailable.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

The only thing I didn't like was the fact that I wasn't able to attend any of the in person networking events. I was fortunate that I found a job I loved relatively early in the process... but I wish I would have been able to meet people in person. That is not because of VL though... that was my schedule.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I found the exact job, with the exact people, in the exact location that I was looking for. I am more excited to get up and go to work now then I have been in longer than I can remember. Maybe best of all, even though they may not know it yet, I get to keep bugging Tammy and Keegan to become the best salesman I can be.

 ### 15. Best Sales Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katherine K. | Sales Development Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap has helped so much with my sales career. I went through their training program before I began my sales career, and I am still utilizing them 2+ years into my career. They teach fundamental skills that every salesperson needs to know. They use practical skills that relate to every field. Hands down the best training out there!

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

The people that work at Victory Lap are so helpful and will always make time for you.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

Honestly, I wish there were more trainings and available content online but that's it!

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Definitely use Victory Lap as a resource in your career!

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am learning how to better relate to my prospects and find pain points and really understand how to communicate with prospects.

 ### 16. Sales Training Excellence

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

I was in the beginning stages of a career change and participated in a weeklong live sales training bootcamp with Victory Lap. The educators at Victory Lap are a strong team who really laid the sales groundwork for me, as well as, helping me with my resume and interviewing skills.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

Victory Lap gave me a detailed education about all things sales in a short amount of time culminating in live cold-call experience to test out my newly obtained skills. I liked how each member of the Victory Lap team educated us and gave their own perspective on sales.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I truly have no complaints about my week in the Victory Lap program.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

For anyone considering a career change into technology sales, this is an amazing first step.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Victory Lap gave me the tools that I needed to start and successfully go through the interview process ultimately landing a job in technology sales.

 ### 17. Great experience for those new to sales

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Coming from a consulting background I had a lot of client experience but no sales experience. Victory Lap really focuses on the beginning stages of the Sales Cycle and it helped me learn what a day in the life of a BDR looks like.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

The best part was the coaching experience. The coaches and lessons were great and I think some more one on one coaching time would help you excel even further.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

There was a lot of promise of how many companies Victory Lap have in their network. 150+ is amazing. Unfortunately at the end of my bootcamp, it seemed their network disappeared. The most enticing thing about VL was definitely their network of employment partners and its talked about throughout the bootcamp. It’s extremely disappointing when you’re hoping to get interviews with tech companies, as stated in the program, only to get 1 interview with a shipping a logistics company.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maybe persuasion. Other than that, nothing yet. Like I said earlier their network of employees seemingly disappeared and VL has not set me up with a job.

 ### 18. Adrenaline shot for your sales force!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric P. | Business Development Leader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2020

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Sharpening the skills and elevating the mentality behind sales initiatives and strategy.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

Brian and Keegan have developed a powerful, proven, highly regarded, and cutting edge program that stands above other seminars in the space.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

The breakout sessions are very good, however they need to be led by a VL team member, or one of the vocal, active participants in the program in order to avoid confusion and low energy.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Reach out and ask questions. Brian and Keegan are accessible to all inquires.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By following the highly refined curriculum, one can quickly realize increased productivity and exceed their goals.

 ### 19. Not just a training bootcamp, but a tailored placement firm

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan K. | Enterprise Business Development Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

I went through the (free) training bootcamp for a week as a pastor looking to move into a new career in sales. Before going in, I thought it was just a series of seminars with access to a job board and some networking events. It turns out the program is a robust training and tailored placement experience. One member of my cohort said it was "what college should be." I would agree that universities could learn from the way Victory Lap sets up its candidates for success.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

1. Positive coaching and training that isn't just a truckload of information, but an engaging and challenging experience into the psychology of business and interaction from experienced sales professionals
2. The cohort experience--how we were all from different walks of life but were getting into the trenches together
3. The placement and network into Chicago's tech scene

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

There's not much to dislike. If you want to pay a bunch of money to a recruiting firm or work solo by yourself on landing a tech sales job, this company is not your fit.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Career pivoting professionals and college graduates looking to get into the tech sales scene NEED to come through this program!

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm pivoting careers, and VL is personally training and placing me into a tech sales career.

 ### 21. Breakthrough into endless possibilities through the Sales Industry.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin F. | Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap provided me with the luxury of learning an immense amount of information within the sales world. The areas we were able to cover in just one week was amazing; these included becoming well-versed in: objection handling, cold-calling, pitching yourself, prospecting, email writing and much more. At its core, Victory Lap also allows you to realize the incredible opportunities that can come with dedication and progression within the Sales Industry.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

As a Finance major, Victory Lap served as a slingshot into the sales world. Prior to the bootcamp, I truly had no idea how much it takes to be a successful sales professional. I was able to take several pages of notes on all information, advice, and overall helpful tips from essential sales tactics all the way to acing your interviews. The VL team is so diverse and well-rounded within the sales industry that you are really able to learn so much from each and every one of the individuals. You come to a realization within the bootcamp that you are always learning and adapting within the sales industry, and being able to hear from successful professionals who have done what we aspire to do; It was really an eye-opening and moving training program.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

There is nothing that I disliked with Victory Lap.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

My advice for anyone debating on whether or not to apply to Victory Lap: the risk is minimal and the rewards are endless. You truly have nothing to lose. If you have a week available to partake in the program, I advise you to 100% join and work hard throughout the training week. If you have an open mind, hunger for learning, and aspire to breakthrough into the sales industry, the advice is simple: join the program.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Victory Lap was able to provide me with an incredible amount of helpful sales information and training that I never would have received otherwise. The benefits are endless due to the fact that you realize, within the sales industry, you are never truly done learning and developing your skills. For me, personally, the biggest benefits I am taking away from the program are the overall sales information and training, countless networking opportunities, interviewing tips, advice from proven professionals, and a strong understanding of what it takes to be successful in both sales and life.

 ### 23. Victory Lap Candidates and Training with Brian Bar

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carmeanna E. | Chief of Staff, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap is excellent at training and showcasing new sales talent.
They also offer sales training to organizations conducted by their CEO Brian Bar.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

I really like the monthly talent showcases because they groom people with very diverse careers and backgrounds and teach them the sales fundamentals. It is very important that employers consider out of the box solutions to filling sales roles. Victory Lap makes that easy!

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

No one likes spending money on recruiting if they can help it; however when the candidates are great and they bring the ability to hit the ground running and an eagerness to succeed, that becomes worth it. Does a candidate always succeed? No. But the candidates Victory Lap grooms are the most eager and excited candidates I have ever seen. The candidates are very excited, very coach-able, very dedicated to applying their skills within their new employer's organization.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Victory Lap gives you the opportunity to visit a cohort talent showcase before becoming an employer partner so you can see what the candidates are like. I think that is a fantastic way to see what they are cultivating without having to sign a contract on the spot. I will say that some our most successful sales members came from the Victory Lap program and we are very happy with how Brian and his team teach sales in their intensive. We have Brian come teach our team for an afternoon as well and that was one of the best workshops we have done. He is brilliant at adapting to your team's sales needs and pinpointing pain points to help your team understand how to move forward.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a shortage on or sales team and we used Victory Lap to hire new BDRs for our team. The BDRs we hired have really fit in well and are now between their 60 and 90 day marks and are ramping very well.

 ### 24. Incredibly strong and only getting stronger

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian A. | Account Executive, Financial Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

I was in the middle of an incredibly frustrating transition period from financial sales to tech sales where my financial sales experience didn't seem to be translating for employers I approached myself due to lack of SaaS experience. Victory Lap resolved this in 7 days with awesome training and a great network of trusted tech companies.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

Exposure to a huge network of companies with someone on your side telling your story and the ability to confidently tell that story yourself. Personally, this was huge as I came into the program mid-career.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

The fact that I didn't find Victory Lap sooner!

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Be proactive and get everything you can out of the program. At the end of the day this is sales training, you get a lot of guidance from the team, but asking questions and engaging all of the folks spending time presenting makes it even more worth while.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The immediate problem of placing a talented person who was sitting around coffee shops stalling out on resume blasts and overall frustrated with the job search process. The benefits go well beyond strong training and job offers. The network of employers, Victory Lap employees, and Victory Lap alumni presents an entirely new group of professionals to leverage for advice and training.

 ### 25. Most valuable resource for SDR/BDR hiring in Chicago!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara C. | Enablement Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

I was first introduced to Victory Lap when I was actually recruiting for chicago software sales candidates in a previous role. Many of my candidates and tech clients had mentioned they were utilizing VL as a resource so when I was looking to transition out of my role in the recruitment industry I called them up. Not only were they extremely responsive, but they also changed the course of my sales career!

As an SDR/BDR candidate trying to stand out from the competition in the Chicago tech sales landscape, a VL education and stamp of approval is extremely valuable. Their model is extremely unique in the sense that it is 100% free for candidates but unlike other recruitment partners, there's a classroom-based education segment to prepare you for a career in sales. Topics ranged from cold calling, objection handling, interview prep, the psychology of sales, resume prep, pipeline building, email writing, etc.

After our training, hiring managers were invited in for a talent showcase and each candidate pitched their backgrounds. From there we worked in tandem with the Victory Lap team to set up first round phone interviews with their talent partners. I worked extremely close with Kevin during this interview process and he was extremely helpful in dissecting my thoughts post-interviews and ultimately helped me narrow down my options until I found the perfect fit.

Overall a very thorough process that I was extremely impressed.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

The team is truly building a community of young, diverse sales professionals in the Chicagoland area. My cohort and I were extremely close and now we have friends at sales teams all around the city. We've helped each other become stronger sales professionals, share leads (extra bonus), and even are recommendations for each other during job interviews.

Since graduating from VL, I've come back monthly to participate in panel discussions for their most recent cohort and each time the candidates get better and better. I know VL is looking to really grow and engage their alumni community further, which I'm extremely excited about.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

It is an investment with a candidate's time to participate in a week-long education process which may not be an option for everyone. I'm excited to see their offerings potentially expand to evening sessions, weekend sessions, "prep" days with universities, etc.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Give them a call - they're extremely friendly and responsive! I've recommended candidates and sales managers to the team previously and have never been disappointed!

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For Sales Management: quicker SDR ramp time, higher employee retention rate, diverse candidate profiles, less time sourcing for candidates (i.e. more time to be a manager)

For VL candidates: FREE sales training from top sales leaders in Chicago, quicker job placement, interview prep, cold calling workshops, access to VL's hiring partners, access to the alumini network, etc.

 ### 26. Life Changing Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robin B. | Experienced CSM, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap helped prepare me to re-enter the sales world. My past sales experience was limited to retail sales and some tech sales but I had not been in the industry for over 5 years. Working in the customer support management world, I learned quickly that I had placed a cap on my earning potential. Sales is something I had been successful in before and I knew with the right mentorship, I could be again.

Victory lap really help me fine tune my skills, focus my goals, identify my strengths, and introduce me to the right people in the industry. After completing cohort 34, I've had several interviews in less then a week and 1 offer.

I'm excited about my future in sales and recommend Victory Lap for anyone switching careers, brushing up on skills, or looking to network in the sales world.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

The best part of Victory Lap was the pitch yourself and the networking. Pitch yourself showed me how to really present myself to employers and relate what I've done to what they need.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I only wish we practice the pitch yourselves more and got a chance to do it in front of potential employers and network that way.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Be prepared to do the work. You'll get what you put in.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit has been the network. It helped me solve the problem of how do I relate what I have been doing for the last 5 years to what I would like to do.

 ### 27. Intensive, highly rewarding, week-long sales bootcamp

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy S. | Substitute Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap helped tremendously by providing a full week of classroom-style teaching as well as practical application to help with all aspects of entering into an SDR or BDR role in one of Chicago's tech start-ups in VL's network.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

The entire staff are not only friendly and highly approachable, but experts in their field. They spoke from years of experience, resulting in expert help, making the time extremely worthwhile. Personally, I knew I most needed help with handling objections and gearing the conversation to the end goal, both of which were addressed fantastically.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I genuinely didn't find anything I didn't like about the bootcamp. It was a high-quality, high-caliber week that left me feeling extremely well-prepared and confident to enter into sales in a tech start-up!

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

I STRONGLY recommend Victory Lap to give you the confidence you need to excel in sales! Not only will you receive high-quality training on all aspects regarding sales, but you will be pushed to be comfortable with being uncomfortable every day in great ways. You'll experience an information overload, but all of it is directly applicable. And, VL's network of 130+ companies in the Chicago area completely bypass the application process and jump straight into interviews with you if they're looking for a VL graduate.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The bootcamp addressed every possible topic I could imagine being necessary for an entry-level SDR/BDR to know about: interviewing, prospecting, question-asking, objection-handling, persuasion, and more were addressed in 60- or 90-minute discussions. And yet, everything was easy to translate into action - it wasn't designed to be simply known, but acted upon, which was exactly what my cohort and I needed.

 ### 28. Victory Lap Over Delivered

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen S. | Sales Development Representative, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap provided me with access to established sales professionals, taught me sales skills that I would need to succeed, and then placed me in a job that I absolutely love. I feel so fortunate to have found Victory Lap. I initially thought the whole thing was too good to be true, but I really did find a program with the goal of helping people find success in the sales profession. You will be surrounded by mentors that truly care about your development and will do all they can to help you succeed. From top to bottom the Victory Lap team is loaded with special people working towards powerful collective goal. I would recommend Victory Lap to anyone that is willing to work hard and wants to get the best sales training available.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

Small class, so there was easy access to the instructors. Engaging group of peers in the cohort with a wide range of backgrounds, making the discussions very interesting and informative. They spend a lot of time curating their content and are always looking to tweak the way they present material. Their attention to detail is always apparent and shows how much they care about serving the people they are teaching.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I didn't dislike anything about Victory Lap

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Use Victory Lap as a tool for sales training or as a resource to hire great sales candidates. The individuals they ask to be a part of Victory Lap have a lot to offer, but sometimes they don't have the experience many employers are looking for. Victory Lap gives candidates this experience and helps set them up for success for years to come.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I realized that I could get training for the kinds of sales positions I was applying for. I had a few interviews before finding Victory Lap and I didn't get the job. I am thankful to have not landed those jobs because I did not have any idea what I was getting myself into. Victory Lap changed that for me.

 ### 29. Victory Lap gave me the confidence I was previously lacking in my resume and my skillset

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julian F. | Not Applicable , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

I joined Victory Lap to tighten up on my knowledge of sales. I had already gained a sales education and had some experience but I felt there was more I could learn before searching for my next role. Victory Lap's bootcamp provided that stepping stone I was searching for to relaunch my career in sales.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

Victory Lap is a one week, intensive sales training that dives deep into the basics of successful sales methodologies. I enjoyed the trainings provided by the team on a day to day basis. Each day was well segmented and there was ample time given to digest most subjects.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I did not enjoy reviewing some of the more basic sales terms and concepts. I understand why it is necessary, however it would be helpful to potentially divide cohorts by sales experience. I would've like to expand on more complex topics.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Victory Lap took my experience in sales up to this point, sharpened it, and reminded me of who I was and what I am capable of. Since completing the training program I have learned how to properly articulate my journey and how my experiences will benefit my next company. Victory Lap connected me with plenty of companies interested in bringing me onto their sales team and I am most grateful for the support they provided throughout the process.

 ### 30. Thoughtful and insightful program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madeleine H. | Director of Sales Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

We hired Victory Lap to present at our Sales Summit, where we bring our salespeople to align on our business. Brian prepared a thoughtful and insightful presentation during one of the days to help remind our sales team about the importance of establishing rapport, building a personal brand, and qualifying high-intent customers. Our team raved about the presentation and continue to ask when we can do another session with Victory Lap.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

The presentation was well prepared, but even more so, Brian made the whole event conversational. Given the length of his presentation, that was essential to keeping all of our team members engaged. The team walked about invigorated and empowered to better connect with their clients.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

There was nothing that I disliked about working with Victory Lap.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Victory Lap helps our team get back to basics but reminds them of the value of doing all the core sales processes well. After the session, our team couldn't stop talking about the importance of building their personal brand and humanizing themselves to the customer.

 ### 31. Effective training that helped our team level up

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap came on-site to conduct sales training for our Sales Development Reps and Account Executives. Brian Bar conducted the training and it was segmented by role.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

Victory Lap not only helped us improve the skills of our current team members, but they also helped us establish strategies, frameworks, and processes that are included in our new hire training and practiced on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

Can't think of anything we would change with the training as it was super effective for our needs.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Be very clear about your goals of the training and provide Victory Lap with strong insight on your team and processes beforehand so they can adapt the material to your needs.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We started working with Victory Lap to put sales strategies and frameworks in place before we aggressively scaled our sales org. We also wanted to invest in the professional development of our current team members. We feel like we accomplished both of these objectives thanks to Victory Lap.

 ### 32. Intensive Sales Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonas B. | Sales Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

I was part of a recent week long boot camp at victory lap.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

Passionate and experienced instructors gave engaging presentations on the mechanics of the sales pitch, selling yourself, and overcoming objections. I found value in the structure used in having sales conversations with potential clients.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I enjoyed the boot camp and the content provided. It is a time commitment of 40+ hours over the course of a week which could be challenging for students currently employed. That being said I look at it as an investment in myself as the skills learned are transferable to other industries and life in general.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

If you are a recent graduate or considering a career in technology sales I highly recommend applying for one of Victory Lap's one week sales boot camps. Doing so shows an employer that you are engaged, willing to invest in yourself, and ready to go day one.

If you are an employer I recommend considering Victory Lap as a source of talent for BDR/SDR/Sales roles. The 40+ hours of intensive training with topics such as sales pitches and overcoming objection equips new hires with the confidence needed to make an impact to an organization day one. In addition you are getting a committed employee who has demonstrated that they are willing to make an investment in their growth and development.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If I were an employer, I would have no reservations about hiring Victory Lap graduates. The candidates in my cohort showed that they were committed to career growth and made the investment in themselves to better prepare for a role in sales. The benefits of hiring a Victory Lap graduate are that they have a thorough understanding of BDR/SDR roles and have gone through their rigorous training course including actual live cold calling with prospective customers for another startup.

 ### 33. One of The Best Programs and Teams in Chicago

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alixandra P. | Account Executive - Product Stewardship , Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Industry training, job placement, interview prep

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

The variety of the courses during the week as well as the "live calling session" at the end of the week made me feel fully prepared to go into my job with confidence and all the tools I needed to not only be successful, but to be the best on my team. I cannot say enough good things about how helpful every member of the Victory Lap team is and how the stressful process of finding a job became fun and exciting because I felt so prepared and confident.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

For me, the course only being a work week long was helpful, but I could see this being a deterrent for some candidates looking to go through Victory Lap. There is a lot of information presented and for some the information may not be digestible in a weeks time. Having a note book to jot what I thought would be most helpful in the job I ended up in was the most helpful as well as highlighting key points. People who have a regular day job, who may be looking to leave said job, might find it difficult to take the time off. But I will say, if you can get the time off to spend a week with a company that WANTS to invest in your success and career... DO. IT.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Victory Lap was my saving grace. Coming back to Chicago after a stint on the West Coast, I was mindlessly applying to jobs I was not even sure would be the right fit. After my first interview with the Victory Lap team, I knew I was in the best hands possible. Not only did Victory Lap prepare me to be a top performer at my company, but they helped prepare me for the world that is inside sales, give me valuable feedback, and a community unlike any other in the city of Chicago. To this day, I still use the notes I took during my time there (around 9 months ago) for my everyday job. I cannot say enough good things about what Victory Lap is doing, the team of employees there, or the program that they have built.

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

When I was looking for a new opportunity Victory Lap was recommended to me by a friend. I didn't know much about Victory Lap at the time but I took a leap of faith and I am so happy I did! With about 5 years of sales experience under my belt - I wasn't sure what to expect going through a "sales boot camp" but I learned so much and made amazing connections and found an amazing job!!!!

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

I loved the connections I have made through Victory Lap and the continued support/community I am now apart of - it truly feels like a Victory Lap family! I learned so many practical skills that apply directly to the day-to-day of a sales role. Even after 5 years of sales experience, I learned so much that I still use to this day!

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

There is not much to dislike about Victory Lap! I guess if I had to be picky, it is a huge time commitment. I found it well worth the time and would recommend to anyone to make the commitment - even if you have an extensive sales background!

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Don't think about it just go! Victory Lap will change your life!

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to find an amazing job with a great company! I apply the skills I've learned and the connections I've made daily in my new role. They really took the time to help me find a company that is a great fit and I would be happy at. They still support me to this day and it gives me a great confidence to be apart of the Victory Lap family!

It was a very comprehensive training from a team of verysuccessful sales professionals that continually exceeded their sales goals throughout their careers and drove revenue for their companies.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

They do an excellent job of teaching curriculum ranging from: persuasion tactics, to how to prospect and develop your pipeline, to objection handling, to how to interview well.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

1 week was an intense time period to learn, but they are excellent teachers who are experts in their craft. It was worth every minute of hard work and attention.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transitioning into a sales career.

 ### 36. Great source for finding sales talent with diverse backgrounds

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shahan M. | VP Sales Operations, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap helped me with ramping up my inside sales team. They provided me with different candidates that best suited my needs and my company's growth.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

Victory lap excels in three main areas:

1. Their training program - I know that everyone that comes out of Victory Lap has the necessary skills to hit the ground running. This gives me a headstart on employee ramp, and they have the basic sales skills to be effective, taught the right way.
2. Their diverse candidate pool - diversity in background is an underrated key in team success. Hiring from Victory Lap helps with making sure you get talent with non-traditional sales backgrounds.
3. Their level of customer service - There is an increasing number of sales tech companies and the landscape is changing where the demand is greater than the talent. This can cause confusion on both sides. The service that we get from victory lap in navigating their talent pool and help match the right environment with the right sales professional is the reason I keep coming back.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I think the training at Victory Lap is great, but the training needs to continue to evolve. I think their continued growth will help with that.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Make sure you clearly communicate the needs and uniqueness of your team

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Victory Lap helps with speeding up new hire ramp, building better teams with more diverse talent, and providing me with excellent service to keep my team growing.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

At first it was the cold calling day, but they are truly making you more comfortable on the phone and gearing you up for your first months at a new job!

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

I recommend that each trainee spends every day reviewing their notes after class and staying after. Getting to know the leadership team and reflecting on the lessons is truly how to get the most out of the program! The entire team is there to help you grow as a business professional

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I cannot currently say any dislikes to the company due to my limited experience in sales.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

If you fell into poor sales training, or believe sales is not for you. Definitely look into Victory Lap, this is a company that can begin to polish soft skills you thought you may think you never had.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap has helped tremendously with our hiring of internal sales representatives.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

I love to personal aspect they take to both training, coaching, mentoring, and in hiring their reps/students. They are fantastic teachers, judges of character, and mentors for budding sales representatives.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

At times, their candidate pool is a bit sparse - they have rotated between smaller, more quality pools and larger, less talented pools, but I guess that is part of the process!

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Be open minded, and the more present you can be and visible at the events, the better candidates will perceive your company. They are also very open to feedback, so if you're open to giving and providing, they will listen!

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 40. Victory Lap Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colleen O. | Sales Development Representative, Market Research, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap helped me take my past experiences and position them with an amazing group of fast-growing companies here in Chicago. Their interview skills training is a sequence of how to brand yourself, communication strategies and skill development. This tactful combination allowed me to land a great job within a week! Victory Lap greatly exceeded my expectations and I could not have been more pleased with the company and my results.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

This was probably the most supportive group of individuals I've ever been around. Each and every person working at Victory Lap wants to see you not only succeed but excel in your career. They're always checking in and making sure everything is going smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I wish that Victory Lap could have been a few days longer.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

The effort you put into this program is exactly what you're going to get out of it. Put forth one hundred percent every day and you will get one hundred percent back. Everyone at Victory Lap wants to see you succeed so just work hard and be your best self and I guarantee you will succeed.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to effectively communicate my skills and land a job within a week of the cohort. Victory Lap not only prepared me but helped successfully transition me into the start of my new career.

 ### 41. Great experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick C. | Sales and Marketing Consultant, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Hiring entry level sales people, specifically looking for a BDR.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

Made sourcing and vetting candidates easy. We're a small business, so it's nice to have someone helping with top of funnel recruiting efforts. Hearing candidates pitch and getting to connect with them in a social setting is great way to evaluate who you want to meet with.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I wouldn't say I disliked anything but you are limited to how good their cohort at that moment is time is. Also - if you can't make it to the pitch day to see and meet candidates in person, you're at a disadvantage in your ability to assess who you want to meet with.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assessing entry level hires is highly speculative. VL offers access to a pool of candidate who have already been somewhat vetted. They've demonstrated that they're willing to commit to a program and put in the work. They also have better expectations of what will be asked of them in a BDR/SDR role. We're very happy with the hire we've made.

 ### 42. Victory Lap is more then sales training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trey J. | Business Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap sources, qualifies and trains the next generation of top sellers and prospectors through intensive classroom training by top sales leaders and managers. Once you have completed the training you have access to many of the top SaaS companies in Chicago. I personally had 12 interviews within a week of completing the program.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

The support does not end when the training is over. The entire team from the founder and CEO keep in touch and are truly vested in your career success.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

It's not easy to get accepted into the program. I went through an intense interview process before I was accepted.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

I have recommended several of my friends to Victory Lap. They have consistently met and exceeded expectations.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I left fully prepared and empowered to enter a career I had zero experience in. I have successfully hit quota every quarter and have already had conversations for a fast-tracked promotion.

 ### 43. Incredible source of business development talent!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William (Bill) G. | Chief Revenue Officer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

We have a rapidly growing business and large addressable market and we needed to hire (and onboard) a lot of candidate quickly and efficiently. Victory Lap provides a consistent funnel of incredible talent who have committed themselves to cracking into tech sales - starting with business development as the launch pad.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

The team at Victory Lap have a great model of sourcing, profiling and preparing candidates from a variety of backgrounds. What I like best is the trust I have that they know our hiring profile and culture fit and we will get quality recommendations accordingly.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

There is some risk/unknown in hiring people "outside" of the technology industry but I have found that risk is offset with the drive, smarts and training of the candidates.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hiring and onboarding business development representatives quickly. We are hiring for AE's and use the BDR role as an "onboarding" experience for 3-6 months. We have seen that, in working with Victory Lap, we are recruiting incredible talent and our qualified lead flow is exploding.

 ### 44. Top Notch Training from Experienced Sales Leaders

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron D. | Sales Development Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Victory Lap helped us backfill our open sales positions with high quality candidates who were already trained and motivated to succeed on day 1.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

The training that the reps receive is great. The best way to learn sales if from people with experience and its great that these candidates have access to so many experienced Sales Leaders.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

The candidates do get quite a few offers for interviews, so scheduling time to speak with them is often difficult and can result in cancellations or long decision making windows for reps.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

My advice would be make sure to reach out to candidates early, even if they haven't yet completed the training program. Get ahead of the game because there will be many employers trying to speak with these folks.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think Victory Lap helps us solve a few issues. Firstly, it helps us find quality candidates to fill openings. Secondly, it cuts down on new hire ramp time since they already come with sales training. Thirdly, it cuts down on attrition because these are people that genuinely want to be in sales positions.

 ### 45. Very well run program and provides a great way to assess sales candidates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

We used Victory to lap to help with hiring sales candidates.

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

I felt like when I interviewed the candidates I was getting the best version of that candidate which is very important to me as a sales leader. When a candidate is fully prepared you are able to view them at their best, so it makes it easier to evaluate them. When assessing the candidate it removes all the "doubts" or "uncertainty". I felt like Victory Lap had the candidates super prepared in terms of sales knowledge, interviewing skills, and asking questions.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I wouldn't say there is anything I dislike, I think you have to remember when interviewing the candidates from Victory Lap that some of them have only been exposed to sales for the week or two they are in the program, so sometimes you have to take that into consideration when assessing them.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to hire a few BDR's and that helped us during a time in which we needed to hire quickly, and effiencently with quality reps.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andres B. | SDR, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2019

**Describe the project or task Victory Lap helped with:**

Sales Training, Job Placement, Networking

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

VL packs a serious amount of training into one week for candidates interesting in transitioning into tech sales. The instructors based their curriculum on their experience and successes which helped cut down on the learning curve a bit.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I would've preferred a longer course-two weeks as opposed to one.

Also, I was lucky that I had time off to take part in this training. I could see people transitioning from their current job to sales having a difficult time getting the time off.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VL helped me by exposing to sales fundamentals and associated trainings that helped me become an attractive job candidate. Also, the cold-calling session gave me a taste of what to expect in future roles and the industry as a whole.

 ### 50. Confidence and Practical Skill

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dorsey D. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Cold calling
Email pitching
Elevator self-pitching
Objection handling

**What do you like best about Victory Lap?**

I loved the consistency and quality of lessons with each instructor. You can tell that everyone is not only knowledgeable, but that they also care about our success.

**What do you dislike about Victory Lap?**

I did not like that we only spent one afternoon on cold calling - so much of sales happens on the phone, it's unfortunate that we only spent one day on it.

**Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:**

Be aware of what kind of sales you want to do. Do some research on the sales process before you go in.

**What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have developed confidence in social settings and on the phone. I've also learned how to organize quickly.
