However, I felt that I had a wealth of transferable skills, experience, and industry knowledge. VictoryLap provided the foundation of sales training and experience, visibility into key sales related structured (roles, metrics, org structure, etc.). From there, VL set me up with interviews and ultimately helped me land the sales role. I've been with my current company for 2 years and have been promoted twice in that span. I started as a BDR and am currently an Account Executive in our Mid-Market business segment. I have hit quota every quarter since moving into a closing role. More importantly, the organization is the right fit for me from a culture, growth, and vision perspective (Victory Lap helped me make this match from the get-go). Couldn't be happier with career path here, and little-to-no chance I would have landed this role without Victory Lap! **What do you like best about Victory Lap?** The ability to peak "behind the curtain" of a B2B sales career. You'll quickly become conversant in core essentials: the day-to-day expectations and routine of a rep, typical org structure, outline of the sales process, comp plans, and major themes in B2B sales training (consultative selling is a big one). The ability to speak the language in an interview setting is obviously great. However, it also allow you to quickly figure out what type of role and org is importnat to you. Also, the ability to combine the classroom style training with live dialing is critical. For many of us, it was the first time cranking out 100 dials in day. It's an eye opening experience for any rep with respect to what you're getting yourself into with the new career, and a great "learn by doing" opportunity. **What do you dislike about Victory Lap?** Hard to find any fault, as I landed the ideal postion and have been happy there since. Obviously, expanding the employer network will always be important for candidates to get a broad spectrum of opportunities. That said, I had 6-7 interviews directly sourced by Victory Lap. **Recommendations to others considering Victory Lap:** Give them a call! It's a unique model and introduces a ton of questions: most importantly, why on earth is it free for candidates? The team is super responsive and transparent. It'll take less than 5 minutes and may end up changing your career path profoundly **What problems is Victory Lap solving and how is that benefiting you?** My goal was to start a career in B2B Sales, and I didn't have the on-paper experience or training to get that first interview. Moreover, I wasn't focused in my search process with respect to the type of org I wanted to be part of.
